My Recovery from Obesity

I look forward to the fortress pix :D

Ask and ye shall receive! :D (thanks for asking)

These were taken today. I still have a little work to do, but will be done tomorrow. This has been my exercise for the last 2-1/2 weeks.

10 free chicks, 2 purchased chicks, and about $700 in materials later, I am almost a chicken farmer. These will be delicious eggs... costing about $8 each for the first year. :D

LOL... Nothing better than fresh eggs, yummie. My parents keep chicken too, so if you're ever in the Netherlands and need exercise, I'm sure they'll love a cickenfortress like that too :D

Great work on everything!
And thanks for the yoga tip I am loving the yoga and have to get my own disc.

Thanks Clarissa! You're welcome on the tip. I found yoga to be surprisingly fun, doable and great exercise. It will stay a part of my regimen in the future.

Guideon, tell your folks that I'll come out and build them one if they give me a place to stay and feed me. Always wanted to visit the Netherlands. :)

Q, I built it like I was building a house, darn near. I climbed in it while doing some inside work and it didn't even budge. It'll hold some BIG chickens.

MrVee, you can stay in the big house when you come out. No, not prison. The people house next door to the coop.

OK, down 0.6 pounds today to 362.4. This is a better week than last week. I've already lost more in three days than I did the previous seven. Today is cool and cloudy, so I may spend a couple hours finishing the Chicken Fortress and reclaiming my garage space back from the birds. I hope everyone has a great Saturday and lives well.

Good job on the chicken coop! Looks great. And good job with blurring the lines a little less. Soon you'll be back to nice crisp lines!

That's some pretty impressing handy work there Don! I'm sure the chickens will love it. I'd love to have some chickens for fresh eggs too, but I think my dogs would enjoy having the chickens even more! That would be a no go for us!

Congrats on more weight lost. I really can't say it enough, but you're doing amazing! :)

Thanks Mystic, Camila and Mandy! :D

I've been busy lately, so I apologize for not visiting you much in recent days. I'll fix that soon.

Today I weigh 360.4, down 2.0 pounds from Sunday's weigh-in. Total loss is 96.6 lbs and 21.1%.
I'll update better later.

< 5 pounds to go!

If you look at the loss of 10% body weight as single events (rather than tracking a running % from SW).
411.3 was the first time you lost 10% of your body weight
370.2 was 10% of your body weight (SW 411.3)
333.2 will be the 3rd time to lose 10% of your body weight (SW 370.2) You are close to 3% done with the 3rd time to lose 10% of your body weight!

It's just another way of looking at things. A 10% body weight reduction is that magic number that's touted as having marked health benefits.

Anyway you look at it, you're doing great!

Ooh, I like that view! Thanks, Q!

I probably feel a whole lot better than MOST people who weigh 360 pounds. Hitting that number on the way UP kinda sucks, but passing it on the way back down is a very good feeling. I think I have done my body loads of good getting this far.

Don - You have definitely done your body good getting this far. Seriously, go find 100 lbs of something, pick it up, and walk around with it for a day. That will definitely have you appreciate how far you've come. I am so, so excited for you! :)

Loving the pictures Don!! Job well done!!! :) Super Don should have been your name.

WOW - you are really really really close to your big mile stone!!! I am happy for you!!! You worked hard for it - a total inspiration to many!

Don, I think you have us all sitting here just waiting for you to break that 100lb lost mark. What a ride you've been on. Well, I shouldn't say it's been a ride because you've worked your tail off to get here. You're 100% pure awesomeness! :)

Thank you all very, very much! Your support is awfully encouraging. :D

I weighed in at 359.8, down 0.6 pounds, and OUT of the 360s. My eating has been really good the last 3 days, the best I've done in a month. I think I am inspired to hit the 100 lb mark as soon as possible, which will likely be around the 28-29th, the date my model predicted to me 2 weeks ago. Three months ago, I thought I would hit this milestone between mid-May and the first week if June, so I am on track.

EDIT: I forgot to mention I have taken 12.5 points off my BMI since starting in January.
