My progress towards 176 Lbs

96.5 Kg = 212.7 Lbs

Although I am still some 37 Lbs from my ideal weight I went out yesterday in a t-shirt and shorts yesterday for the first time in a long time. I'm still carrying quite a lot of extra fat around my waist but I didn't feel too self conscious yesterday.
 
Would liked to have ended last week on or around 211 Lbs but an impromptu Saturday family BBQ flush with red meat and alcohol meant I stepped on the scaled on Sunday morning 3Lbs heavier than the following morning. Sunday spent detoxing with fruit, water and exercise and I am back to 213 Lbs.
 
I reached a new landmark when I jumped on the scales this morning my BMI has dropped below 28 to 27.99 :)

Day 30 weigh in and a new landmark reached, I am now 15 Stone exactly.

Yesterday I spent 50 mins on the rowing machine at highest setting. Today I plan to run the 3.5 miles to my wife's parents house while my wife takes the kids in the car.

Big birthday party and BBQ coming up tomorrow - will enjoy it with a few beers and maybe a celebratory whisky. Avoiding the birthday cake at all costs cos I know what's gone into it as my wife is making it. Will get up early tomorrow and do 60 mins on the treadmill before people start arriving and then I can enjoy the day.
 
LOL no problems we sat down this morning and calculated that the whole thing is 20,000 calories (flour, sugar, vegetable oil, icing, butter and chocolate) and big enough to feed 50-60 people although we're only expecting 25 people. I had a small slice of the test cake she made yesterday but only after my 40 min run.
 
A weekend of party excesses and I am up 2 Lbs on my Friday weight. Not beating myself up about it as I am allowing myself some weekend treats and these are exceptions rather than the rule. Today is all green tea, water and fruit and exercise.
 
62 mins on the rowing machine (500 cals) and a detox day of fruit and lots of water and I hope to be down to my Friday weight later this morning.
 
I'd like to lose 3 Lbs this week and am going on a 5 mile run this afternoon. I've picked a steady route with not too many ups and downs and have no expectations on time - under an hour would be good but the main thing is to do it and enjoy it :)

Another 4Lbs and I will have lost half of the weight I wanted to lose.
 
Oh and I cut my run down yesterday from 5 miles to 3.2 miles due to my toes getting sore. I have proper running shoes but they're very old and I think I need to invest in some new.

Totally smashed it! Went for a run this evening cos it's cooler and came back having done 5.3 miles in 58 mins and I felt I could have gone on longer - will maybe go for 6 miles next time. I've run longer distances in the past - I did 10 miles 4 years ago but this is the longest since then and bear in mind less than 6 weeks ago I got out of breathe on the stairs.
