Week 7 Day 3 - Yipee, end of working week

The school is having a cross-country run in the morning and the day should end by around 11am I hope and then I'll head home to REST. Yipee...the long weekend starts early :)

Still feeling that horrible tummy ache there...can't seems to 'force' anything out ... duh...I've taken an apple and a mandarin orange just now...will see if anything works by tomorrow.

Today's Menu:

Breakfast: Cheese with cucumber
Lunch: Stir Fry chinese cabbage with chicken
Dinner: Spicy Prawns with stir fry chye shim
1 330ml coke, 1 apple and 1 mandarin orange with 8 meiji crackers

Feeling quite hungry these 2 days...uh-oh, TOM? can't be feeling it so early right? Just have to bear with it and drink loads of water.

Have to wake up at 5.30am tomorrow to reach cross country venue by 6.45am! So ungodly...so...better go and catch some sleep now. Tada all.

FlaMie, I found the fibre supplements rec. by the clinic did nothing for me & was often constipated on the program so when it got really bad I would take a couple of laxatives(with senna in them) at night when I had a day home next day. It's not good for you in the long run(no pun intended) but I used to also get bad pains & feel so uncomfortable that I couldn't stand it. Do you eat spinach or bok choy as they help too. Enjoy your long week-end FlaMie & get lots of sleep, cheers, cate.

Speaking of constipation, I am feeling it a bit the past week. Although I am eating lots of spinach and greens, it doesn't seem to be helping much. I really miss having my banana to sort that all out!

Hi Cate, I do take a fair bit of bok choy but that doesn't seem to help as well. In any case, it is finally out and wow, quite a lot too...:p Well, I certainly feel way better / lighter after that. The clinic did suggest that I could use laxatives if I find it hard to 'conduct my private business'. Will see how.

Week 7 Day 4 - A Relaxing Day

It is the cross-country run today! NO school for me...wonderful feeling. I just feel that the weekend is particularly long for me yipee. :willy_nilly:

After the run, caught up with some friends for shopping and tea. Nice nice...I had to buy some working clothes as the bigger sized clothes are looking quite bad on me already. I was in for a nice surprise because it was only about 1.5 weeks ago, I was only able to fit into size 16 pants but today...I was into size 14 pants!!!! I was over the moon. Can't believe this! I was so skeptical about it. I wanted to try the size on only and see how far I am from it BUT I could actually fit it in very nicely. My friend advised me against getting 16 again cos it would be silly and a waste of money as I would be moving away from 14 soon.

Today is good and relaxing. Bought 2 pants and a shirt as well as 2 tops. Hope this will help me tie over a few weeks. On hand, I do have a few size 14 skirts also. Size 16 really look bad now. I also rewarded myself by buying a new watch. Certainly no food for 'pleasure'.

So, I guess even though my weight may not have gone down significantly, my size sure has. So much so that people are already noticing it visibly. In addition, I can actually pull up size 12 skirt - sure still tight but I think in about a month's time, I should fit it? So happy!

Today's Menu:

Breakfast: Yogurt with mango
Lunch: Seafood soup with mushrooms and lettuce
Dinner: Steak with cabbage and shitake mushroom
1 mango and 1 apple.

I can feel that I'm lighter today especially after clearing my bowels but my weighing machine is trying to be funny...think the battery is low, can't read anything. So, guess, this is good too...now I've no way to measure my weight till I get a new battery...hahahah FUNNY! :)

Week 7 Day 5 - Depressing day

Sorry folks for not having updated yesterday. I was so depressed about the weight gain that I simply lost my motivation and will to do anything else. Anyway, here goes.

OMG! What's happening here? I didn't do anything that was wrong. However, I weighed myself before lunch and I was close to 1kg heavier!!!!! This is really impossible. I mean, I can understand if the weight stagnates but to go up by close to 1kg...gosh, that'll set me back with 2 about 1 week's worth of effort...

Now I'm feeling so horrid...gosh. I just can't make sense of this whole thing. I know I've lost inches cos I'm fitting nicely into size 14 now BUT why is the weight heavier? Is it TOM again?! Surely not so fast? Argh...no mood to type any more. See if I'll be back later.

Just got back from drama performance of "The Importance of being Earnest". Really comical portrayal of Oscar Wilde's book. Enjoyed myself thoroughly and forgot about the horrid weight increase.

Anyway,

Today's Menu:

Breakfast: Cheese & Cucumber
Lunch: Stir Fry Chicken with shitake mushrooms and chye sim
Dinner: Grilled Fish and button mushrooms

Weight loss does stagnate and will pan out. If ur going to weigh urself, weigh ur self at the same time every time. Its prefered to do it in the morning after emptying ur bladder... its the most accurate time hence they do this in hospitals with patients.... maybe u should make sm changes to meals if they are regular and the same thing every time......... and maybe u need to up your water..... helpd me last time i was on the diet..........considering its my 2nd go at weight loss (30kg in 4mths last time). It might just mean ur in a plato and that things will move soon. Dont stress. When u start losing weight and u get closer to ur goal weight, u obviously have less to lose so ur loss will slow down- not saying it will, but its def a possibility for some........just some ideas....

Week 7 Day 7 - 2/3 of Month 2 gone

I'm finally here! Heading right into the end of 2nd month and not losing much this month :( Ok, I'm a little disappointed. I think so far, I've actually lost less than 4kg this 2nd month as compared with the 1st month of fabulous loss. Well, I think I just have more stubborn fats than others then. Don't think I'll ever clear the programme in 6 months. *haiz*

Anyway, after a week or so of HUGE plateau...the weight is finally moving on again. Had a good loss overnight - 700g. Funny this scale thingy. So, I'm now looking towards 73kg woohoo. I'm moving down slowly but surely. No choice, that's my body. Gotta love it than hate it...else it'll get even slower. Just wishing that this last week of month 2 is a miracle week where everything simply just goes down in a big slosh. I'm also making a mental note that 75kg could be my MAJOR plateau so that in future, I had better watch that number.

I'm also beginning to feel hungry again...gosh. Normally I don't really need to have crackers along with my main meal and I would feel full after my main meal. That's not what it was like yesterday and today's breakfast. I actually don't feel full! So, I'm like trying to drink more water and hopefully that'll put the hunger at bay for a while. Well, was it hunger = weight loss? Certainly hope so which could explain why I lost that 700g overnight.

I'm also beginning to just daydream of a loss of 200g a day next week would actually just set me up to more than 4kg loss this month. Can this be possible please?! *PRAY* At least good thing is inches must have caught up a lot because the weight loss has become very very visible to everyone around me now. So, perhaps when there's weight loss people can't see the inches and vice versa.

-----------------------------------To Be Updated-------------------------

Hi FlaMie, You're doing it again, my sweet. This scale obsession!! Your weight is moving along nicely. After the first month it is quite common to lose anything between 2-5kg a month so this month is shaping up well. About your 75kg 'plateau' comment & needing to remember that for the future- give yourself a little slap as you are not going back there ever & you must tell yourself that.
Re so-called 'plateaus'-
As Dee says it is sometimes a good idea to change your meals around. Be careful not to eat too much cheese as I know with me it binds me up. If I ever have cheese for lunch I make sure I eat an apple not long after.
I hope you're enjoying Easter FlaMie & getting some rest, ready for those students. I think teachers are saints! Take care of yourself, xo Cate.

Week 8 Day 1 - Coming to end of 2nd month

Wowowow didn't realise that time has passed so quickly. Initially I was still fretting badly whether I could stick on the programme even for a week but looks like 2 months is definitely a YES. Of course, looking into more months would be difficult to be honest. That pretty much set me up for failure thinking that I've got many months ahead to clear before reaching my goal weight. So, yea, I'm still taking day by day as it comes or max, week by week. Well, so far, it is getting me through and there are days I'm not even thinking, just going with the flow .

Have a fantastic and satisfactory weigh in this morning before heading for work. So glad that after the huge drop the day before, it happened again this morning. Not quite as much but 600g to me is simply wonderful. Looks like 4kg is certainly within reach. I also notice that this has set me pretty much down to below 20kg to goal weight. Wow, suddenly the amount of weight to lose no longer looks as daunting as before - big motivation to stay on path...YIPEE!

Today, I've decided to put on new clothes to work - 2 sizes down from my previous size. Now a comfortable size 14! Really glad cos this size 14 skirt that was purchased 2 weeks ago is now loose! I've to actually put on a belt to hold the waist in. Suddenly with this change in clothes, soooo many people suddenly realised that I've lost A LOT of weight...funny this change in clothes. If I continue to wear the old clothes, the change doesn't seem as obvious...so hey all, make sure you change your wardrobe especially if 2 sizes down!

Either I'm too happy or what, having a headache now. So guess I'll be heading for an early night. Not thinking that there'll be any significant loss tomorrow due to these 2 days of good losses...so will see how

Today's Menu:

Breakfast: Cheese with cucumber
Lunch: Spicy chicken with stir fry chye sim
Dinner: Spicy prawns & calamari (almost a staple now) with stir fry cabbage
1 diet coke and 1 apple

Hmmm, seems like whenever I introduce something new to the food, (calamari these 2 days) it'll kinda jolt the body to lose weight. Maybe I'm wrong...but will monitor and see if this is true. Theory = Dun let the body get complacent by doing all the same food all the time :p

You are doing so well, FlaMie! Wow, 73kg! Love the self-discipline.

We are on school holidays now. Have been away, very hard to eat the right thing, so tomorrow I'm going to get back on track and try and get started on shedding the 70's. In particular I need to get back into the water.

Lucky my husband is really patient and very complimentary, which keeps me encouraged even when I'm not doing so well.

Maybe I'll get to be as creative as you with the food this week! One of my sons caught quite a lot of fish recently, so will be eating some of that in coming days.

The new clothes definitely do help with the encouragement and self-esteem. Guess the shopping is pretty cool in Singapore too.

Week 9 Day 5 - 3rd day of TOM

Hello folks! After an absence of about 11 days and here I am a couple of kgs off from where I last left off.

Really glad that these two days despite TOM, my weight has dropped steadily. First was an overnight of 500g followed by today's 800g! Really amazing this body of mine. It sure has the ability to retain so much fluid. I have better be careful and drink loads every day to expel all the watery nonsense :p.

So, I'm now down to 71.7kg on my own scale and I'm happy to say that I'm hitting halfway mark...just another 1.7kg to go.

I'm really thankful that the weight has not been affected by the last two days' of busy schedule. In fact, 2 days ago, I had to take my lunch 4.5 hrs after breakfast. I felt so guilty but I had no choice...it was either eat at 4.5 hrs after breakfast or no lunch at all as I had to rush for an important meeting. So, I took the lesser of the evil and the weight drop has been kind still. Then, for breakfast that day, as I had pre prepared my cucumber and didn't notice that it had turned bad...eeeeeewwwwwwwwwww the taste...I had to throw the whole load away and ran to the canteen to purchase some vege. I initially panicked cos there's no vege to be sold in school! Thank god there is a stall and uses cucumber. So I bought just about enough from the stall holder but sadly I couldn't weigh them before eating and hence had to eyeball the amount. Guess, I didn't upset my system cos the weight came off by 0.5kg the next day...phew much to my relief!

Oh, I'm really looking forward to being a 60s girl! I hope I can be there by next Wednesday roughly...just about there...:) Yipee I haven't been a 60 girl for a LONG LONG time...really looking forward to it.

Alright...catch up with you guys again tomorrow...gotta sleep soon...zzzZZZZZzzzzzz:Angel_anim:

Congrats!

Wow, way to go FlaMie!!!!!!
Congrats on the great losses!

And welcome back ;)

Keep well, Luvbug :seeya:

Week 9 Day 7 - Onward to Week 10

Woohoo...final day to week 9 and a nice and fantastic closure to it. Yesterday I only just mentioned that I was 71.7kg and today I'm down another 600g to 71.1kg!!!! I'm now just 0.2kg shy of true 70kg and 1.1kg to halfway mark...I'm counting down!!!! Oh gosh! I'm so excited. Weight loss has been fantastic this week...guess the start of TOM truly helps to move those stubborn fats in the system a fair bit. Sudden impatience sets in to want to have someone kick me into the 60s quickly hahahaha. Guess it'll come. 1.1kg...hopefully will happen by end of week 10 :).

I can now fit into size 30 pants! Of course, it is still a snug fit but hey at least I can zip it all the way up and just 1 more week and I guess it'll fit nicely already. T-shirts that I bought 2 weeks back which were a bit too tight are now comfortably fitting...so another 2 weeks will be loose...what an amazing journey!

Oh one more happy thing...finally can cross the two legs properly now...hahahah...it was almost impossible before and now it comes naturally and over a longer period of time :p.

Fantastic FlaMie! Remember when you weren't sure you could do this??? Well, you are doing it, and doing it so well! It's all pretty easy when you stick to the rules, eh?

Congratulations on being so focused and motivated. Well done - bet you are enjoying the new clothes heaps.

FlaMie- I just love hearing you so excited & happy. I can feel your joy. Well done!!! xo Cate

Week 12 Day 1

See how time flies. I'm already into the first day of week 12. I would like to share the good news that as I'm stepping into week 12, my weight has dropped to the 60s! Yes, I'm 68.9kg as of today. To me that's good enough even though I know I may not be losing as much or as fast as some others. I've not been in the 60s for the last 8 years! Certainly worth celebrating by buying a new skirt maybe? hahaha. So far, I've really been DF and I know that's the ONLY WAY to hit my goal weight.

Apologies to all that care that I've not been logging on here. Nonetheless, there's always Cate / Niyah that will constantly 'draw' me back here because you folks are the ones that really helped me along in the beginning. So yea, here I am again today to let you know how much I've progressed. I just realised that I'm only about less than 2kg away from the total weight loss of 20kg...wow! I really can't wait. Also, with less than 5kg away from single digit loss, the wait is truly agonising...hehehe. I've long past the halfway mark and that to me was a HUGE achievement. So, I'm now heading for my 4th goal. Wow! Amazing journey.
