My new weight diary!!!!

There is an old thread somewhere with loads of recipes for making your own protein bars - I can't seem to find it atm but, if I do come across it, I'll post it here.

In the Healthy Recipes section sticky. You can go through the link in my sig.

i need recipes too im eating too much of the same foods day after day and it does get harder to stick to something once you get bored. Although i baught protein bars, i realized how quickly you can eat one and hardly feel the difference, so i was worried about eating too many of them and suddenly being 400cals over.
good luck!

Look at a post in the Nutrition section called "Gourmet Nutrition Sampler."

I agree, it looks a little low

Ditto.

A slice of toast for D?... *cry*

Curious to know why you eating so little. Is it habitual? Is it psychological - affraid to gain weight or some other? Is it time/scheduling issue - Are you too busy to prep food? Are you just not hungry? Are you even remotely full? I know my stomach will do all kinds of weird noises if I don't feed it enough, even when I thought I wasn't hungry. Your body have no reaction to the food intake?

Sorry, lots of questions :p

And I gotta say LOL your "little" exercise is not little. Mine is just chump-change compared to yours :D
I guess that is why we all concern about you eating so little with that not-so-little exercise. We don't want you to pass out or anything.

thankyou for giving me advice and asking questions!

to be totally honest i dont know what it is...i think it is something about scared of losing weight! i do get quite hungry sometimes but i try to foget about it instead of responded to it! (bad i no but im starting to worry that this is going to get to be a habit) please no one judge me because i know this isnt good for my health but im trying to fix it....

ive also got aother confession to make...the reason why i didnt post my food intake yesterday and only my exercise rountine is because i hardly eat anything!! and as soon as i finished working out i thought i was going to collapse again (i did it in december..i started a thread in injuries about my first collapse) but i got some water and slowly got myself back to normal but it was quite scary....i ashamed of my self for posting this because every diary i read youre all doing great and im failing!!!!

I'd suggest not looking at it as a pass/fail - everyone's at their own point on this road, some have been doing it longer than others so it's become more of a habit/lifestyle for them. If it was as easy for everyone as all that, we'd have no need to diarize, nor have a forum dedicated to fitness. As it is, everyone needs that kind of support.

One thing to note - you need to eat more to lose weight. The body will catch on that the calories incoming are dwindling, so it will adjust the metabolism accordingly so that anything you put into your mouth will get stored as fat. Upping your calorie intake will take your body out of starvation mode, and up your metabolism so you're burning the extra calories, not storing them.

Agreed with Stingo and have had a lot of experience with this. Don't cut out on food to try and lose weight. It sounds strange but it does work, you just have to trust it. You also need to make sure you drink enough before/during/after your workouts. Water alone may be the #1 culprit for your feeling faint. Just get a bottled water and make a goal to fill it at least 4 times in a day. Hard and first, but it gets easier and you will see better results. try writing down what you tentitively plan on eating each day, the night before. That may help you stay on track and then you'll have a written record to see whats working and whats not

To be honest, I had your photo diary in mind when I wrote my post, Sparrow. It serves as a great example that too few calories does keep weight on, but also (and more importantly) that it can be remedied by a sensible diet/upping the calorie intake.

thanks all im going to try tomorrow im at the gym anyway so i'll have to eat something lol :) i'll post my workout and food so you can hopefully tell me if ive improved from the last few days...watch this space....

I know I haven't said hardly anything in the diary, at least I don't think I have, but just wanna say good luck. It's hard at times but we'll be here if you need us.

the point of keeping a log and posting it for others to see is mainly to get inputs and constructive critz, & yeah to get ebcouragement when you do something right :)

Have you ever try to check out the total calorie you eat in a day? From reading what you it should be pretty easy. You can check it out at A lot of people here us that site to help them plan ahead their meal to stay on track. You be surprise at how much you actually eat and what the balance looks. ;)

I started keeping tags on the combination of food I eat, and it was actually fun to 'plan' my meal. Searching ways to find the right combination and learning to make it intutive at the same time. Kinda like a puzzle/detective work :D

kiria, yes i do use fitday i and find it very helpful! :)
