My Journey...

:grouphug:

Don't feel bad.
I had a horrible weigh in today, so I feel blahh-icko to.

As Scarlet would say: Tomorrow is another day... :)

Today was just today and that's it. ;)

You're doing a great job AND don't u forget that.

:grouphug:

At least you had fruit and granola this morning, right? I for one am glad that the gross feeling comes after eating heavy, b/c if not then we'd fall right back into the old ways. Tomorrow will be better for sure. :D Now, I better kick myself into high gear so that I can keep up with you! :gnorsi:

Don't worry about one bad day. They happen. As long as it's only one day, then it's nothing, if it's a bad week though, that really sucks, or a bad month, or more, I had a bad 9 months before starting over again so don't sweat it. :) I gained 25 of my 40 lbs weight loss back. One day is nothing hahaha

Aww hunny it's okey, don\t feel bad.

You lost 8 Freakin pounds, that's amazing.

And we're bound to slip and fall sometimes, just get right back up and keep it going.

We all have slip ups. Its ok. Dont let it affect your emotions. Just try to eat better today.

Also feel good about what you have lost so far. Go pick up an 8 lbs weight and feel how heavy it is. Thats what I do for a reminder. When I hit 16 lbs I held two 8 lbs weights at target for a few mins lol. It made me feel good that it was gone. Just keep you eye on the prize : ) When I hit 200 lbs im going to target to hold bags of cat food to really feel the weight that is gone.

We can do this!

:grouphug:

Hey now don't beat yourself up!
Believe it or not you may be quite surprised to see that your "indulgences" won't have nearly the effect you think.
It may even have the opposite effect.
It's okay to actually re-feed your body every couple of weeks. Keeps it guessing you know. LOL
Actually the human body will get use to only getting the same amount of calories or the same amount of exercise and will compensate for it by just "catching up". (Which is why we sometimes have to do different exercises or different amounts of them to make them still work.)
Meaning that at some point you gotta trick it into thinking your not trying to starve it.
I had some of my biggest weight loss weeks after having a refeed day.
Besides that I don't really think that you are going to fail. You have too much oomph :hurray: right now.
Just go right back to doing what you was doing. And put yesterday behind you.
You got this in the bag!!!

First, thank you ALL for your support & kind words.
Second, I now feel like I have let you all down and don't deserve anything except scolding. I just don't know what happened today...

Food:
Breakfast- watermelon, granola
Lunch- (we went out to eat...) 2 beef tacos, beans & 1 sopapilla, plus some chips & salsa
Snack- (then we went to a movie... and I knew better than this! Didn't I just look up the fat content in popcorn & freak out?) YES!!! I had some buttered popcorn, about a quarter of a small bag (so about 25-30 grams of FAT...)
Snack- 1 peach
Dinner- cheesy rice w/broccoli

Fitness:
walked Ace 1.5 miles
(didn't even make it to the gym to counter balance some of what I ate)

Fun:
We saw Mama Mia (this was a very adorable movie)

Feelings:
I feel fat & bloated & gross!!! I did learn something from today, though. Number 1: Do not celebrate a successfull weigh in with a gluttonous day of indulgences. Number 2: I DO NOT want this to fail. I feel like I have come so far in the past few weeks and I do not want to revert back to my previous eating habits. I do not want to gain back all the weight that I have lost so far. I want to keep going, not start over.

Ok, well, tomorrow is another day, right? I keep saying that to everyone else so I guess it's my time to listen. The worst thing about this all is the way I feel about myself now... Blahhhhhh... :puke:

You are doing very well either way. We all go through it and just like you we will all get back on track. At least you are honest with everything. You will get there. Take care.

Hey everyone! Again, thank you all for your kind words & support. Today is a much better day! WOOHOO!!! :hurray:

It is good to have one of those days like yesterday cuz it proves to me that I don't want to be fat for life. Well, I will make my "daily" entry later tonight but just wanted everyone to know that I have SURVIVED! :willy_nilly:

Day 25

Food:
Breakfast- watermelon, 1 hard boiled egg
Snack- graham crackers, 1 apple, lowfat peanut butter
Lunch- shish-ka-bobs made w/turkey sausage, shrimp, green, yellow & red bell peppers, red onions & grape tomatoes then seasoned w/cajun seasoning (oh my goodness... these were DELISH!), also had this w/wild rice
Snack- lowfat vanilla yogurt w/banana, grapes & sliced almonds
Dinner- salad (actually, just mixed lettuce) w/ 1 serving Laughing Cow cheese cubes & lime juice over it (this was the first time I have tried the Laughing Cow cheese and it was simply HEAVENLY! I don't know if they have a bunch of different flavors but this one was creamy swiss...), also had 1 slice of sourdough bread
Snack/Dessert- 1 Weight Watchers orange swirl popsicle

Fitness:
gym- 30 minutes on treadmill, 2.04 miles
15 minutes on bike
lifted weights, arms

Fun:
I finished my book!!! I am reading the Dark Tower series (Stephen King) and I just finished the 6th book, so I have one more left in the series. I know I am a dork, but I will be sad when it is all over.

Feelings:
I ate a lot of food today, but it was all healthy. Yesterday, I actually ate less food but it was so calorie & fat packed that it made me feel just so gross. Today was definitely a better day. I am going to make sure to get my snacks in so that I don't gorge myself during lunch & dinner. I had a good workout, and made good food decisions, so I know I am back on track.

Paul is downstairs singing at the top of his lungs, "In the garden of Danny Devito darling... You know I love you so!!!" (Who knows...?!?)

Ummmmm, I think this might be his way of looking for attention so I better go for tonight.

Take care everyone!!!

:biggrinjester: LMBO @ Hubby trying to get yer attention!

My hubby is just blunt..I'll be at the sink or bent over and get a squeeze or he'll brush up against me..:biggrinjester: Hahahaha!

Great Job with eating on plan and gettin' in that exercise!

:hurray:

Thanks!

Yea, my hubby is usually blunt about wanting some attention, also. However, he is also a big nerd, and he does walk around singing to himself quite frequently.

LOL LOL LOL...

Day 26

Food:
Breakfast- cheerios w/fat free milk & fresh blueberries
Lunch- 1 slice pepperoni pizza, pesto pasta salad w/tomatoes & broccoli
Snack- 1 Kashi Almond granola bar, 1 peach, some baby bell peppers
Dinner- salad (again, just mixed lettuce) w/crumbled lowfat blue cheese, walnuts & lime juice, 2 slices sourdough bread (toasted)
Snack/Dessert- 1 Weight Watchers orange swirl popsicle

Fitness:
walked Ace 1.5 miles
Gym- 30 minutes on treadmill, 2.01 miles

Fun:
Paul & I goofed off in bookstores today. I got the books for school that I needed. Also got the last book in the Dark Tower series. I want to finish before classes start on Tuesday (however, there are 845 pages so we'll see...)

Feelings:
Yes, I know, I ate pizza today. But I only ate one slice. And I don't even feel like I cheated cuz I did well the rest of the day. I just need to be really careful all weekend cuz I want to have a good weigh in next week. Not that I expect to lose anything, but I don't want to gain anything either.

Hi! Your last two meals have my mouth watering :drool5: Soo good and healthy! I was some shish kabobs now!

LOL at your hubby singing that!!! Mine does the same! He comes up with the funniest little songs. Always an adventure! Sounds like y'all had a fun day together. We got out today too and poked around in some stores. Fun stuff. I don't think it's bad at all that you had a slice of pizza. They key thing is that you limited yourself and didn't go nuts. Great job! Way to go on those workouts too!

:iagree: Limiting is the key and you did really well for the rest of your foods and you exercised. So good job to you.

Sounds like we all have nuts for hubby's!
My hubby is ALWAYS making up wacky songs. So much that now even the kids are doing it.
It just cracks me up. LOL
I can't hold a tune nor can I rhyme at the drop of a hat. He can though.

I think you did great with your slice of pizza.
Keep at it! Soon if I don't get into gear your gonna pass me by!
YIKES!!! :willy_nilly:
Guess I better get Crack~a~lacken!
Have a great weekend.

Day 27

From yesterday

Ok, at first I was just gonna type: "Well, today was a cheat day." However, I have decided to be honest. I think I am having an off week. Don't exactly know what the heck is going on. So, don't judge me too harshly. (Actually, go ahead... cuz OBVIOUSLY I need a kick in the pants! :toetap05: )

Food:
Breakfast/Lunch- grilled swiss cheese sandwich w/sauteed onions & mushrooms on sourdough bread (actually I "bake/toast" this sandwich rather than grill it, so there is no added butter)
Snack- :lurk5: :lurk5: :lurk5: (I have decided that I CANNOT go to a movie theater unprepared EVER AGAIN!) First of all, we don't usually go to 2 movies in 1 week. Second, I caved. I thought I would be fine. Didn't even want any popcorn till we walked into the theater and then I was hypnotized and bought some anyway... LOL!
Dinner- veggie burger w/green chile & cheese, potato wedges (from Fuddruckers... 1st time I've ever tried a veggie burger and I HATED it. I've easily made the switch from most ground beef to turkey so I decided to give this a try. Blah.... :puke: )
Snack/Dessert- half a slice of peanut butter chocolate ice cream cake from Baskin Robins (Yea, I know... it just kept getting better & better)

Fitness:
And one, and two... um... I lifted my hand from the popcorn bag to my mouth. Hee hee!

Fun:
It was a friend's birthday (hence the ice cream cake) so we all got together and celebrated. Plus, Paul & I saw Tropic Thunder. HILARIOUS!!! I loved Tom Cruise in this movie.

Feelings:
Well, let's see. I didn't feel as bad about my day of debauchery as I did earlier this week. In a way that scared me cuz I was thinking I was ok with everything. However, that is not the case. It's just that what's done is done. I am still very aware of my own decisions and need to step it up a bit in the will power department. Also, not that this is an excuse AT ALL!!! but, I was a total crank for most of the day yesterday, and had an attitude of "BITE ME" towards everyone & everything... :cuss:

Today is a new day. (Thank goodness we don't run out of these...) And it is already off to a better healthier start. Paul left for a 3 day shift this morning so I won't see him till Wednesday, and I start classes on Tuesday so it is getting ready to be a hectic time. But I have my arsenal of veggies, fruits, whole grains, lowfat dairy & lean protein so I am READY!!!

Hee hee... This was my favorite book series when I was younger. I still read the entire series once every couple of years or so, AND I have the movies on VHS & EVERY time that I watch them I ball like a little baby!

Thanks for reminding me of this!

I'm snacking on some grapes here at work as I type this so I KNOW I can do this! :hurray:

I've seen you post around so thought I'd come by and say hi :) I was reading and saw your popcorn posts this week. After the first one I was thinking "wow she stopped at 1/4 of a small bag"? See I have the same problem, I smell that popcorn and whamo, lol. Love me some popcorn. I've been able to evade it sometimes by either packing snacks (and yes sneaking them in, lol) or lately my hubby and I go to lunch/dinner before the movie so I'm so full I don't care. This seems to work pretty well but other than that I still cave sometimes. But unlike you I don't stop, I'm ashamed to admit I've ate over half a large bag by myself before :X. Anyway awesome that you're rolling with it and still not letting it derail you. You're doing a great job :) ~Lisa

OMG - I have watched the movies at least 50X no kidding. :D

I'm soooo Anne! Especially as a child.

I had long pig tails that were always braided and I had a super great imagination.
I also have a horrible temper. lmbo

I wrote poems and mini books as a kid/teen and now I write children's book's.
I hope to become a published author one day.

It's my favorite movie series ever.

I want to move to Prince Edward Island as well. :sifone:
If I'm ever published and do well, I will live there!
It would be a dream come true. :)
