I'll be taking the Patient Care Tech courses which includes the CNA courses.

The cost is higher on my end bc I also have to complete GED while doin' everything else at the same time. :willy_nilly:

You guys are AWESOME!!! Yes, I've been MIA but I am back now. I can't even begin to describe how overwhelming this week has been. But it is not an excuse to ignore my good health. And, while all has not been a complete loss, it definitely has not been great either. I will start posting my updates again tomorrow, and I will get caught up with everyone.

It was really nice to get on here today and know that I was cared for. Thanks guys!!!

Yay we didn't lose you!! Welcome back :D Sorry stuff was so crazy for ya but hoping it's calmed down a bit. I was having a chaotic day yesterday so I didn't see you were back yet but I do now!! :grouphug:
 
NO, NO... I really am back. I have eaten like crap, though and feel even worse. But all is not lost. I REFUSE to give up this journey. So, onward and upward! Tomorrow I will start posting again, which means eating better and exercising.

WOW! This has been a crazy couple of weeks. I am going to check in on you all now, but I can tell just from your tickers that I have some catching up to do! I'm definitely up for the challenge!!! :hurray: :hurray:
 
You are so funny about not having any popcorn, lol. Apparently you don't know how to junk out properly :) j/ And next time you're takin a break you don't have to stop posting silly! I mean probably don't mention it if you're slammin on a huge banana split...you'll send the rest of us off on an ice cream hyatus, lol. Mmmmm...banana splits...I think I'm gonna cut back on the junk food for like two weeks and then eat salads for a day to save up calories for something good :X Ok I gotta shut up now, sorry, lol. k Anyway SO happy you're back...you were very much missed.
 
Hi Stacy! I'm so glad that you are going to start posting again. I have really missed reading your journal. You always have such good ideas! What you were saying about being off track was exactly how it was for me for the hurricane(gusav). I was back home and still eating crazy stuff and then finally I snapped out of it a couple days later. This hurricane I was more prepared food-wise but we ended up doing fine. We only lost power once and it was just for a little while. Anyway, I hope that you are getting into the swing of things with school. What kind of lunches do you have planned to bring to school with you? Glad you're back!!!!
 
Day 43

from yesterday:

Wow! Hard to believe that it's been a month and a half. Well, this just goes to show that this truly is a journey, cuz even if you take a short cut and get a little lost, eventually you will find your way back on the right path again.

Food:
Breakfast- ok, not off to the best start... I was running so late yesterday morning I didn't have time to have any.
Lunch- about 1/2 a cup of cream of potato soup, salad (mixed greens) w/lowfat blue cheese crumbles, walnuts & lemon juice (instead of dressing)
Snack- 1 kiwi
Snack- 1 peach
Dinner- stuffed bell pepper w/rice mix (made w/sliced beef & onions, lowfat cream of mushroom soup, brown gravy mix & lowfat sour cream... like stroganoff)

Fitness:
On the days when I have to go to school and work, there is just not enough time in the day to hit the gym. Poor Ace hasn't been getting too many walks in either, cuz I leave too early and I can't walk him in the dark. Anyway, I am just going to make the days that I do have at the gym the best, most effective workouts ever! I'll be going about 4-5 days a week, so that is still great.

Fun:
Paul has been working like a madman lately, so I haven't seen too much of him with both of our crazy schedules. So, yesterday we spent some time snuggling under the blanket watching some TV.

Feelings:
I still have not weighed myself, guess I won't until tomorrow morning. So, I am really scared to see how much weight I have gained back. I have a physical on Friday, also... so we'll see what my Dr has to say about me needing to lose weight.

It just amazes me how quickly I was able to forget about my healthy nutrition & exercise. I am kinda scared by this whole experience cuz I KNOW that I do not want to eat fatty foods and be unhealthy. I will truly take this time as a learning lesson and hopefully if any of you are considering straying you will read this and realize that it is just NOT WORTH IT!
 
Day 44

from Tuesday

Food:
Breakfast- 1 cup dry shredded wheat (had to eat it on the go...)
Snack- 1 lowfat string cheese
Lunch- whole wheat tortilla w/lowfat cream cheese, sliced chicken & lettuce; 1 peach; 1 Kashi granola bar
Dinner- 1 hamburger w/lowfat swiss cheese & grilled onions on a whole wheat bun; baked french fries w/ketchup

Fitness:
Yea, still not doing to good on this front

Fun:
Went to buy roasted green chile to keep in my freezer... YUMMY!!

Feelings:
With all the homework I have had, I find it hard to make time to post... So I am going to work on making this one of my daily priorities.
 
Day 45

from yesterday

Food:
Breakfast- whole wheat english muffin w/light butter & sugar free grape jelly
Snack- carrots
Lunch- 1 cup vegetable soup; 1 kiwi; 1 Kashi granola bar
Dinner- steak; baked potato w/light butter, lowfat sour cream & chives; salad w/lowfat bleu cheese crumbles, walnuts & squeezed lemon
Snack/Dessert- 1 cup fat free frozen yogurt

Fitness:
:reddevil: GOTTA GET INTO THE GYM!!!

Fun:
Went to the movies with Paul!!!

Feelings:
There is just not enough time in the day anymore...
 
Week 6: 219.0

Well, I weighed myself yesterday and just as I expected, the damage was horrific. I am still as busy as ever but I think I have finally found my grove and I am able to function again.

I need to get back into the gym, cuz I have missed almost 2 full weeks. So, that is my goal for the rest of the month. I am not going to change the dates for any of my mini goals... I will just work twice as hard so that I can still obtain them.

I have a full physical tomorrow with my doctor that is required for my CNA class so I will get my "OFFICIAL" weight then. Boy, am I terrified of what he's going to say to me when he says that number.

Ok, well here's to healthy living, second chances, and never quitting! We are all worth this, and you guys are so amazing!!! :seeya:
 
Day 46

from yesterday

Food:
Breakfast- graham crackers
Lunch- whole wheat tortilla w/lowfat cream cheese, chicken & lettuce; 1 peach; raw cauliflower
Dinner- 1 whole wheat pita w/lowfat mozarella cheese, tomatoes, mushrooms & olive oil
Snack/Dessert- 1/2 a cup of ice cream w/ 1/2 a peach

Fitness:
Still need to get back into the gym...

Fun:
I stayed up late watching a bunch of TV shows that I haven't been able to see in the past 2 weeks.

Feelings:
I feel like I'm still trying to get into my groove. At least I've still been posting, though... right?

Had to go to the doctor this morning for a complete physical and the "OFFICIAL" weigh in is 215.4.

I'm so glad that you're back, Stacy!

I won't let you give up on this journey again. I feel like I started this with you (well, we pretty much did start at the same time) and you are full of optimism and wonderful ideas. Keep your mind to it, remember to be conscious of what you put into your body, and it won't be all that difficult.

If you can't make it to the gym... at least you always have a great work out partner in Ace!
