My Journey to Beauty. Added pics to post 27

Well I am about 2 ish (thought it was 3 but my calculations were wrong) weeks in. I am so proud of myself already. My whole mind has seemed to changed.
I joined Spa Lady and they have set up a program for me (and my mom), though we may alternate with an old program from a different trainer to keep things interesting. The 3 training sessions they did really weren't made to work you hard just teach you the moves so those days were not very hard working, but I have done 4 sessions of a great class called Spa Ball, and a few hard work outs.
They measured and weighed me at the beginning.
Beginning weight:168 lb (Novemeber 7, 07)
I will need to check my sheet to get the exact measurements then will post those as well.

I have been eating so much better, and hardly have any cravings. I do still need to do my nutrition session where hopefully I will get more knowledge about eating right, cause I know I am eating better but not probably the most healthy.
I am planning on getting ingredients to make healthy smoothies today then have that for breakfast rather than a bagel.
Next week I have my next weigh in and measurements, will let you know how that goes!

Here is my basic work out.
5 minutes warm up (bike, eliptical, or treadmill)
Weights, not sure how long this takes. One day I do full body, the next day I work out I do arms, then the next day I do legs).
Then I do 30-40 mins cardio. At the end I stretch.

I also ride my horse which is a bit of a work out too.

I go to the gym Monday-Thursday and Saturday. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday is regular workout that I mentioned above. Tuesday and Saturday is a class.

My normal food for the day is
Whole Wheat Bagel with butter, though I am now subbing this out with a healthy smoothie)
I try to have a snack, an orange or sometimes a couple almonds
Lunch is a sandwich/wrap. And some carrots/cucumber with dip.
Try again to have an orange or a couple almonds
Supper is whatever is made though small portions.

I try not to eat after 7.

Well that's the basic plan. But will keep updating.

I thought I would add that I am hoping to lose close to 15-20 pounds before January 12 as me and my family are going to Jamaica and I atleast want to be semi-comfortable in a tankini (with a skirt or shorts of course)
 
hey there mystic.. i jus read ur post and though about my diet (which i cant control but im trying :smash:) by the way how tall are u? its good that you started with a plan.. I intend to do the same n stick to it :)

I forgot to mention above that I walk my dogs for an hour each day.

Today I think I did well.

To Eat
A piece of toast with peanut butter before my walk
Breakfast: Whole wheat bagel w/ butter (not great but Not bad)
Lunch: a cup of smoothie, chicken wrap w/ sauce (trying to cut back on sauce)
Supper: Pita pizza, (pita shell, little bit of tomato sauce, ham, pineanaple, little bit of cheese)

Didn't have snacks which I should have but I am happy with what I did eat

Exercise:
Walked dogs for an hour
Did a Cardio Step Class for an hour
Rode my horse for an hour

So far I am sticking well with my plan. My weigh in is wednesday.

You certainly are doing a great job with the exercise! Good on ya, mate! I love it that you and your Mum are working out together; mine has been my WL partner, too. It has been wonderful to cheer each other on! We go for daily walks together, too.

HOW TALL ARE YOU?

Today wasn't the greatest day. I was feeling really exhausted. I went to a late movie last night which I haven't done in a while so my sleep pattern was a little off. I didn't walk the dogs in the morning.

Food
Normal breakfast of whole wheat bagel w/ butter (we always go to tim hortons sunday mornings)
Lunch was bad as we went to the mall after church and I had Edo Japan, and part of a Fruitopia (they were out of bottled water)
Supper was some shrimp
Then I even ahd a small piece of strawberry pie. This was my worst eating day since I started.

Today is my day off exercise and I was too exhausted to ride my horse.
I did take the dogs for their evening walk tho.

Here are my measurements taken November 7
Upper Arm: 11"
Chest: 39"
Waist: 34"
Abdomen: 39"
Hips: 41"
Thigh: 22" (I think)
Calf: 15"

My mini goals and dates

Starting Weight 169
Mini Goal 154 by January 10 ish (15 pound loss)
Next Mini Goal 139 End of April (15 pound loss)
Final Goal 129 by August (10 pound loss)

My Abdomen goal is 28"
I don't know what I want the rest of my measurements to be, I just want to be sleek and smooth.

Just be consistent in your behavior
Pay attention to what you're eating and you will reach your goals...

DOn't get too hung up on setting a specific time frame though - the body doesn't always cooperate - which is why consistency is important... and don't get too hung up on a number on the scale... go by how your clothes are fitting and how you're feeling.
 
Thanks, I am not too worried about time periods but those are rough estimates (tried to make them slightly longer than what it might actually take) but if I go over and am still being consistent that's ok.
 
Today was a pretty good day.
Walked my dogs in the morning.
After work I went to the gym
Did my 5 min warmup
Did Full Body weight lifting
then did 40 mins cardio

To eat
Breakfast
3/4 cup smoothie
1/2 bagel w/ butter
Snack
Couple almonds
Lunch
Carrots w/ dip
Pita w/ salmon
Snack
Granola Bar
Supper
Pita Pizza

Didn't drink enough water today or yesterday, need to try to drink more
 
So I thought that this week was my monthly update/weigh in, but it's not suppose to be. This is the 4th week but I should be doing it beginning of next week not the beginning of this week. Sigh, I was so excited/scared to find out if I lost or not!
 
oh ya, I will put in my Starting clothing sizes
Starting Pants: 14 ish (depending on the make)
Goal Pants: 5/6

Starting shirt: Med/Large (depending on the make)
Goal: Small

So since I am on here, today so far I did not walk my dogs in the morning ( the weather was terrible, but that's just an excuse).
I had a bagel for breakfast (should have done 3/4 cup smoothie, 1/2 bagel instead)
Snack: Couple almonds
Lunch: Carrots and dip (I hate veggies so I NEED dip to eat them)
Beef Soup

Will post on the rest of the day when it's done. The plan is going to Spa Ball class after work, Grab some dinner (small donair, or 6" sub) while rushing off to my riding lesson. Getting home and taking the dogs for a walk. I will let you know how it goes.

I am gonna post my starting pics up at the top then add pics through out of the changes.

I had a granola bar before working out.
Supper I had a small donair

I did do the spa ball class at the gym and rode my horse in a lesson and took my dogs for a walk. So I did everything that I wanted to, yay

I read your diary and it sounds like you are doing great so far. Good for you! I totally believe that you can make it to your goal. You seem to be very motivated/active.

You are I are close in weight. I'll check in now and then and see how your doing! If I can do it you can too.......seriously!

I was supposed to have a Nutrition Session yesterday but they mixed it up with a different day so no we are having it next thursday.

2 pita pizzas (it's the only thing in the house. It normally isn't too bad for my calories but we bought the wrong pitas last time and them have more than double the amount of calories the other wraps had! need to get those old ones back, or have other types of food in the house)

A small handful (very small handful) of tortilla chips

Chinese food consisting of:
Small serving of noodles
3 Pieces Ginger Beef
1 piece sweet and sour chicken
Fortune Cookie

45 mins Step class
