My fresh start

woa Anna - U are so on a roll - 4/4 x 2 days in a row??....
.... I think I hear a good-week coming.... ;)
(1,000 deficit is about 1/3 pound right?)...

good work girl - U are really giving me a good challenge to keep up with U - good for you ! ...

Hey Maryann I'm aiming for a 750 cal daily deficit, and trying to catch up for some slip ups over the last week or 2 oops. I don't really believe that 1000cals = whatever weight loss. It's never worked out like that for me. I think that whole getting older - getting harder to lose weight thing is true. I def lose better when I'm being super strict with the logging of my food in. I.e. portions sizes etc.

I have a night shift tonight. The last 2 night shifts I did really well and had no snacks while at work. I generally make bad choices on night shift. I've done some exercise and so I still have about 400 cals which I could have tonight if I feel the hungry! I've also got some fresh pineapple to take which is a nice sweet treat. Hopefully I'll still achieve my goals for today.

So far 12600 steps, have logged my food, written in here and got my deficit. Wish me luck for the night shift!

B weetbix w sugar and milk, coffee
L healthy pizza and Greek salad
S cavalucci Italian biscuit yum yum
D fish pie
S lemon yoghurt

Hey Anna - good work on keeping up with your food logging, portion control & exercise !
... it's been fun "racing" with you this week... it really inspired me...thinking- I've got to keep up with that spunky Anna !! lol.

Great work on behaving during your nite-shifts... and such a great idea to bring along healthy-food ( pineapple) - to help resist not so great food choices...

hope the rest of your nite shifts go well,
good luck for weigh-in gal,
cheers, Maryann

Well I had a kit Kat on that night shift, but it was within cals. I've had pretty good days since then too. It's been my days off and back to work tomorrow like a normal person. The scales are still at 93 kilos, but I'm hopeful they will drop lower.

I've been listening to fat2fit podcasts after Maryann recommended them. I love the whole act thin to be thin idea. I keep saying to myself during the day 'how would a thin person act right now?' It really helped me while out socialising over the weekend.

I've got an odd day of work tomorrow, I'm flying up to Wellington to spend the afternoon hanging out in the control tower up there. I'll get a couple of decent walks in to and from the tower which is on the opposite Side of the airport. Then in the evening I'll be hanging with some friends who I play music with. ... Lots of opportunities for bad choices but I'm confident I'll navigate my way ok!

Have a great week everyone.

Hey KitKat is actually not too bad calorie wise - it has wafers. It's one of the lowest calorie candies out there.

Your weight will go down soon. Keep up the good work!

Hey Anna - good work keeping the nite-shift munchies in reason- and within calories !!

Glad U like Fat2Fit podcasts...Sarah is a big fan of them too - they offer such sensible information... and inspiration!

Happy walking at Wellington airport- , and music-making with friends sounds fun... keep up the "good navigating"...

cheers Maryann

You're a musician? What instrument do you play?

I used to sing. Well it was more of a controlled howling followed by screaming followed by sneering, all done in a bad fake English accent. :)

Also want to know what instrument you play? That sounds fab.

You will be fine with your food choices. You have done really well so far.

I play bass with some friends in an amateur covers rock band. I also sometimes play a bit of fiddle. Do you guys/gals play too?

I've had a couple of top notch days.... And I'm begging the scales to show me some love. I've been three weeks hovering between 93.0 and 93.4 kg. come on scales!

Hey good job Anna.banana! Water retention may haunt the scales! You might want to consider getting some fresh fruit for night shift...much better for cravings than a kit kat bar. Justina is right, it's one of the lowest calories...but it's still processed sugar and if you are lime me, that type of calorie just begs for another, and another, and another!
Just a thought...take it or leave it!
Sarah

Hey Anna - Bass in a rock-group... cool chickie U !
...ha ha - I play golf !! (& - poorly at that !)... I did play a bit of keyboard as a youngster...but haven't touched it for years... but music is so goooood for the soul !

- good work on the top-notch days... don't fret if the scale is does not show loss yet - ... your body will let-go the fat when it's ready- just stay true to your course, keep doing the good-work...

& I am pretty sure U are going to beat me this week - after 2 nites out with supper - I am 99% sure I won't be losing anything this week.... :(

so I am rooting for U Anna - U can be our loss-girl for this week !

no loss again...sigh...its been 3 weeks i think...so dumb

However, I'm going tramping (nz term, taking a back pack with all my food sleeping bag etc into the mountains), on Sat for about 5 days. The weather forecast is perfect. I'll be with my hubby my dad and my best friend and her hubby. It'll be fun. I'm not going to count cals, and I'll be taking some cal dense food...so I should be back with a fired up metabolism ready for my next big re-enthused go at weight loss!

Hope you all have a good week, see you next week!

Enjoy the tramping. I'm totally NOT an outdoor girl. I freak at any insect and love my luxuries. But it sounds great and you must have a blast!!

Tramping sounds fun!! You enjoy it!! I bet you will lose some when you are back!! Fresh air, exercise, good company!!!
Have fun Anna!

Hey Anna - happy Tramping gal ! ( we call it backpacking here in Canada...) ...bet U will burn lots of calories out there...
~ you are in good company - I had a no-loss week also - I like your idea to tackle- it re-enthused once back ...

have fun,
Maryann :)
