My fresh start

Well, a new year and a burst of motivation to keep doing this thing. After the latest long walk my poor foot was in a bad way again, so I'm resting it now. I got my bike out yesterday and went a little bit up the road and back again, and I'll focus on that and swimming for at least a week. I'd really like to do some yoga sessions again too, I didn't do any last year, and I really enjoy it when I do.

B 1 toast and 2 poached eggs, coffee
S cashews
L crisps and dip (I know it's not great nutritionally, but I was at a party!)
And 2 glasses of wine
D chicken and salad
S 4 chocolates

For exercise today I did an hour of gardening and an hour of lawn mowing.

My cal deficit was about 1000 again, so that's a week now apart from yesterday which was break even. I wish something would show on the scales soon.

Another good day. I went out to lunch with my brother's family, which wasn't planned, but I think I ate ok again, had some salmon and calamari (not deep fried!) and then I went to the gym, I also did some cleaning and gardening, so a pretty active day altogether.

I'm just watching a baking show, and it's a little bit like torture.... They are baking cheesecakes.... Yum! Anyway I'm going to have a nice cup of herbal tea!

B 2 Weetbix w milk, coffee
L seafood and bread, glass of wine
S protein drink
D chicken and salad
S 2 chocolates

Mmmm just had some salmon sushi! My secret weapon is sushi cause it fills me up and its a controlled portion and easy to count the cals etc etc and its so yummy.

I have to confess that i didn't watch much Xena... but I found it pretty funny when I did. Not sure if it was meant to be taken seriously!

I'll be happy when the series of British Home baker is finished, I almost never watch series tv, in fact I don't really watch tv at all, but I must be in the habit of watching on Wed nights cause thats when that baking show is on and i've watched the last 3 episodes! mmmm they were making croquembouche last night.... yum yum.

Anyway enough food porn.

I've been to the gym this morning and took along clothes for work, I took fat clothes cause i started out feeling like I was having a fat day, but now I'm feeling less fat, so wish I wasn't in my fat clothes. Oh well! I was reading the thread about binge eating, and I can so identify with some of the stories there. I think for me having a plan of what I'm eating next is really important, if I don't have a plan and then get hungry watch out, thats when things go bad for me.

I'll check in again later with today's food.

Hey Anna - yes , I totally agree - I also seem to do best when I plan my food for the day - I usually write it out in my food log first thing in the morning - -then it is a "plan-promise"to myself for the day ...and if I find myself getting "hungry"- I go for a lower-cal fill-in ( cup of tea with milk, piece of fruit) - so I don't mess-up the "plan"....something powerful about having it in writing...

As far as planning foes your the complete opposite, If I do to much planning it usually goes horribly wrong :)

Hey everyone

Hi there Tasha, and welcome :)

Mr Vee ginger crunch is a baked slice w ground ginger in it and then has ginger icing on the top. It is popular in NZ, and the little town we live in has a bakery with the best ginger crunch ever! It is very sweet and not does not have much nutritional value .... Yummy

That whole planning thing works for some land not for others I guess. I plan but I'm sort of flexible about adding and subtracting stuff too.

Hey Vince, I'm still here, had a win on the scales today so pretty happy about that...

96.3 today!!!! Yay another kilo gone!

B 2 Weetbix w milk and sugar, coffee
S coffee grapes
L salmon sushi
S sculpt protein drink
D weight watchers meal and salad
S chocolate almonds

Exercise 2 hours of gardening
Cal deficit about 800

I did do the happy dance! I found a tv channel with 80's classics and danced to 'my perogative' haha...

I just decided to do the jan challenge, and putting in my weight from the 1st made me realize how much it fluctuates.

My weights for the last week were

97.3 98.0 98.3 98.6 97.6 96.3 and before that it just kept fluctuating around 98-99... I guess that's showing a general trend. I expect it'll go up again for a few days now...

Hey all I'm off on a painting workshop for the next three days... Oil painting in the high country, staying at a lodge which looks beautiful. I have some cal restricting plans in place, but it will probably turn out to be maintainance days for me...

See you all later in the week.
