I managed to eat a more respectable amount today. :angel: I need to get back into the habit of eating more than 2 meals a day.

Wednesday's doings:

Weight: 95.6

Food:
protein shake
sausages w/ mushrooms and sour cream
massaman chicken curry

1400 cals, 27 carbs

Steps: 19,690
 
Interesting day today. Went a bit haywire eating choccy caramel biscuits at lunchtime, then still wasn't hungry at tea time, so didn't eat any more for the day. Admittedly it was a very late lunch, but still, I'll try harder to eat better tomorrow.

I really pushed myself with the steps in an attempt to burn those carbs and calories. I have also decided to get back to some sort of weight training. It is going to take a while before I can use any actual weights - my husband freaks out at the very thought. My balance is still pretty hideous, so he just doesn't trust me with a barbell, or even dumbbells.

So for at least the next couple of weeks I am going to do some push ups and sit ups. Wasn't able to do a great deal today, but hey, it's a start. ;)

Thursday's doings:

Weight: 95.5

Much better day today. Not a lot of energy though - possibly used it all up yesterday. Still, I pushed myself to do a reasonable number of steps, and am happy enough with the day's situation.

Friday's doings:

Weight: 95.1

Food:
1 coffee, 1 decaf w/ cream
scrambled eggs w/ bacon
tuna, feta and bacon w/ Caesar dressing
pork and potato casserole

1300 cals, 25 carbs

Felt pretty puffy when I got up this morning, so it was no surprise to see I had gained 600 grams since yesterday. Serves me right for eating two big serves of bacon I guess! Moderation!

Saturday's doings:

Weight: 95.7

Food:
2 coffees w/ cream
protein shake
mustardy chicken wings
lamb souvlaki w/ lemon potatoes

1320 cals, 25 carbs

Went nuts with the choccy biscuits again yesterday.

Sigh. But am right back on track today. The only difference is that I am going to only weigh myself weekly for a while.

I wasn't feeling too brilliant for most of yesterday. The ever present back pain was a bit of a pest, and I needed a few pills to get through the day. My energy was therefore down, and I didn't get in as many steps as I'd have liked. I'm hoping for better today!

Sunday's doings:

sausages, feta and mushrooms w/ balsamic vinaigrette
pan fried salmon and potato gratin

Good job on the food and exercise....I think weighing weekly is a good choice, two weeks ago I did the daily weighing thing and I drove myself nuts!
I like to officially weight in on friday and then again unofficially on mondays to see what I should expect to see on friday!

Weigh day today, and I have lost another ½ kilo. That makes 4.8 kilos for the month. Not bad at all, although I have been a teeny bit disappointed not to have lost more in the past two weeks. But it is going to be a long trip, and each step takes me closer to my end goal.

Very little energy today, so I gave myself permission to take it easy for once. Back stepping with enthusiasm tomorrow. (I hope)

Hi Mrs Shadow! I've been having a bit of a poke around here and thought I'd say hi :)

you're doing really well with the calories! Are you weighing everything before you cook / eat it? Or are you just estimating?

I know this makes me sound like a total idiot, but I LOVE that you are doing push-ups against the wall! I keep trying and trying and trying to do them, but still can't do one. Not even girly style with knees on the ground. I just kind of hover with my but high in the air and then get my face down to the floor, but it's only my upper body moving... I feel like a total egit. So I'm going to do and try YOUR kind of push ups! Right now! :)

the 2 of us have something in common and that is our goals. I aim for 59 so we are kind of close. I've started off my diet pretty confident that I can do it...but it's definitely a bumpy road...may'be we could support each other in getting there...
