Mrs Bear's Diary

Well done with the bike ride, as the weather is so nice i'm thinking about going out myself later... you have inspired me lol! The cake sounds amazing and as long as you enjoy it thats all that matters, its a treat not an every day thing. BTW bon dimanche is french for good sunday! Keep up the great work!!

Oh, dude, you have no idea how much I'm drooling right now! I'm typing under a sea of saliva! That cakes sounds absolutely amazing, I bet people love it when you cook for them :D

If there's a touch of wind as well then it'll make the ride more enjoyable. Definitely cooling you down as you go, that'll be lovely! If you do go for a bike ride, have fun! For some reason that dreaded Queen song has come into my head. *biiiiiiiiicycle... biiiiiiiiiiiiicycle...*

Peake's a great game, but the only people that know how to play are Top Cat and his sister, who lives in Bristol. It's a long way to travel to play Peake :)

Oo! Smilies! I did mean to mention how wonderful it was to see a little  instead of a :( That is a coincidence, it could almost be like a psychic thing *insert The Exocist music here*

Speaking of psychic, wouldn't it be hilarious if Darren Brown was a waitor! A couple come into a restaurant and Brown says "Good evening, TABLE FOR TWO? And the couple would be going "Oh my God, how does he know?" and "I feel all weird!" Just a thought... :D

I've done good with the bizarre comments. Bon Dimanche is probably spelt wrong but it's french for "Happy Sunday." The part of Belgium our house is in is very religious and strongly Cathlic, so a lot of people wish each other a happy sunday. :)

Have a marvellous day!

Postal worker caught with thousands of letters
BERLIN (Reuters) - A Berlin postal worker who was caught with more than several thousand undelivered letters in his basement has admitted he was overwhelmed by the job but insisted he planned to deliver them soon.

Police recently found 90 boxes of post stacked in his basement. The postal worker, 36, identified as Thomas H., told Bild newspaper Friday he was only temporarily storing the post at his house and friends would help with delivery.

"There were just too much and I couldn't deliver it all by myself," he told the newspaper. Police said some of the letters found had been postmarked as early as April. The postal worker faces disciplinary action.

Isaw this article thismorning, and it made me chuckle... Thought i'd share... see your post office and citizens should be thankful thatyou bust your butt on a daily basis delivering mail.. :D

I know you'll be fine getting back on track. Your encouragement is totally appreciated, and I hope you enjoyed every yummy bite!

 I've been away from here too long! What happens when I pop back in? I find out you are now in smaller shorts you bought years ago! Yay! :D You are doing awesome! :D :D

Hello everyone, thanks for dropping by and thanks for all the kind, encouraging comments. Sorry I haven't been here for a while .... my computer crashed!!!! :( I think I've been using it too much :D . Its still not fixed and apparantly we have lost everything on the hard drive  but we should have it back tomorrow. I am currently at my mum's house, as I couldn't stand another day without you guys. I have really missed all your support.

Bronsk, you should visit Top Cat's sister in Bristol .... because its only 20 minutes away from me!!!! :D . And I shall have that queen song in my head whenever I'm out on my bike now ;)

Sday, I wasn't sure if you were serious about the recipe, but here goes. Chocolate sponge is 4 eggs and 170g sugar whisked to a ribbon trail over a pan of simmering water. Remove from heat and whisk until cooled. Fold in 100g flour (I use wheat free - its very light) and 2.5 tbsps of cocoa powder, sieved, along with 1.5 tbsp hot water (from the pan). Split between 3 sandwich tins and bake at 180 C for 10-15 mins. The chocolate layer is a ganache, made by pouring 4 fl oz hot cream onto 8 oz milk chocolate and stirring, then when cool, whip it. The cherry icing is sieved cherry jam mixed with icing sugar. So I put cake, chocolate ganache, cake, icing, cream, tinned cherries, cake, more icing, cream splodges, fresh cherries and chocolate curls .... sorry guys, not really the best subject for this forum!

Mal, great article. We have had cases like that in the UK but they weren't too tired ..... they were thieving

Okay, so the last few days, I have been still counting calories as best as I can without the weightloss resources website and I have been exercising a lot. Monday I did a 14 mile bike ride, and today I have done 18 miles!!!! I am so pleased, I thought I would just give it a go and see ..... you should always push yourself ;)

Binging is still okay, but sugar is back to zero. It is so hot, and the fruit smoothies were getting a bit too acidic for me, so I have had a few ice lollies :p I weakened!!!!! I felt so sick with the heat yesterday, and I felt so much better after the lollies that I am glad I had them.

Thanks for dropping by again everyone, I really appreciate it and I have missed you all. We should be picking up our computer tomorrow, so normal service should be resumed.

Well I had better get on with the ENORMOUS task of catching up with everyone's diaries!!! :D

Toodles peeps

An idea for the ice lollies, make your own! I have found if you use a fruit squash or fruit from a blender, not only do they taste better but they dont have all the preservatives and e numbers found in normal shop ones! Hope you are enjoying the weather, we hit 35 down in surrey today!! Well done on the bike ride you are doing great! Hope you are having a good day and keep up the great work!

;) Thanks Laura, I have fruit pastille lollies which have no artificial colours or flavours .... but it still has sugar!!! I shall try to get my butt in gear and make my own .... much better for me

Oh, and I just noticed I have done a gross in mileage!!!! Ewwwww!! Gross :p :D

With the kind of cycling you're doing- you'll be at John O'Groats in no time! You've been doing really great lately- keep it up! :)

Yukky, a gross miles :p Heehee, glad to see you back *super whopping hugs* Missed you! Sorry about your computer though. Hope it gets better, and are the files still retrievable at all?

I've been creative in the kitchen today... I was thinking of you as I was making my chocolate rice crispie buns for Brownies :D Haha, no where near as amazing as your cakes! But I put blobs of blue icing on top :p

Go you for staying binge free, even without the Internet! It's a good idea to make your own lollies. Sugar free Angel Delight is a good one as well, not so juicey though. But nice all the same! Sugar free jelly as well; swear by it! Not frozen, but still coooooooool :p

Have a marvellous evening!

Thanks again for all the encouragement guys!!

Bronsk ..... no!! Apparantly our hard drive was damaged beyond repair!! :p It is a ginormous pain in the neck, but atleast I will have the internet back at my house tomorrow!! (My mum lives 30 mins away, so I can't come over here 4 times a day ;) )

Wow, cakes with blob's of blue icing on them .... just like you .... sweet too ;) (no dry heaving people, please :D )

Hubby was supposed to call around 6pm as I am picking him and his old friend from school up at the mall, he's staying over tonight, but he hasn't called yet. GOOD!!! More time here with you guys :D

Toodles peeps
