Mrs Bear's Diary

Happy birthday to you....:D

Thanks buddy bear for everything!! Your questions yesterday really got me thinking about my underlying issues and I definately want to fix any issues while I'm doing all this work so it doesn't backfire. ;)

It is so great you got on that bike today and made it 10 miles! Its your birthday and you were worn out and you still said I'm going to do it and you did :D.

Can't wait to see how great you did not overdoing your celebration too much. Always remember how much effort you put into your rides when your going to scarf down 1000 calories on a binge. Take it from a lazy chick you know you don't want to do all that exercise and then in 5 minutes eat up all your progress. ;)
I know you can do it. Keep up the great work. :)

Oh and I did start a ticker for today through aug 1st, its on zero but I know having it will get me up more often. :p

Thanks for all the birthday wishes and encouraging comments everyone!! I know it may not seem it, but I do feel that I have done you all justice today, especially considering what I would have done in the past.

Food for today .....

8.00 am: 50g porridge, rice bran, 300ml milk, 1 tsp honey (not counting cals as pointless considering what follows)
Elevenses: 1 quite big slice of chocolate birthday cake and 1 scope of ice cream
2.00 pm: large portion of chip shop chips (but made sure I left some, trying to start better habits)
3.00 pm: small slice of chocolate cake and 1 scoop ice cream

.... and thats it. She had bought a big pack of doritos which we didn't even open. There was more cake and ice cream, which we normally would have eaten, but we left it for her and her hubby to have another time. She had brought 3 bars of choc back from France for us to share, but I said no thanks.

Now I have got in, brushed my teeth and drunk a large glass of water and I feel really good about myself. Not much in the way of healthy food today, and probably a lot of calories, but binging-wise the day was good. I stayed in control, and now it is early evening, I have had all my food for the day, and I have not over done it. And I still have that box of chocs intact to take to work tomorrow!!

Now all I have to do is eat very healthily for the next three days so that when I go to be weighed at the health centre on Thursday early evening, I have got rid of any retained water I may have gained over the last couple of days. If my weight has gone up, I want it to be justified ... not just water!

Thanks again guys, without your support, I would have gone off the rails :)

And Lazyone, I'll be watching that ticker, madam!:D

Right, I am going to log off now, my husband is not watching the 8.00 match tonight, so we are going to have a nice cosy evening watching a film. I might check in later (I get the shakes if I don't get my fix every few hours!!;) )

Birthday

I am glad you had a good birthday, and not binging is the best present you could have given yourself! Be happy and proud. :)

Thanks Twinmom. I feel great now. I am not stuffed, I don't feel queasy, and I still had cake. I feel really good.

PS - another thing crossed off my list, but it was an easy one - 8. Playlist sorted for next week's party!

Mrs B - what a GREAT day!!

You did so much of your list, and I'm so glad to hear you didn't binge!
WTG!!

Hey Mrs Bear, hope you had a great birthday and well done for taking the choccies into work. In my work the men eat all the stuff you bring in but never think to bring any themselves.

I had a look at your pictures by the way, I do love looking at other peoples pet reptiles hehehe. Lizards are such funny animals, everyone would think they can't have personalities but my slow worms are like little dogs. They slither across to the front of the cage when they see you in the room in the hope that you'll either love them or feed them.

Hey buddy bear,
Wonderful job on not binging today!! :D
You are doing a great job. Now just to get me off my lazy butt and exercising :p
I'm off to sleep hopefully I will rest up good, rid myself of my cold and start my exercise up in the morning before work. ;)
Thanks for the support. Have a great night.

Happy Birthday Mrs. Bear!!! Only I guess it's already tomorrow for you so I guess I should say Happy Belated Birthday!!!

It sounds like you've got some good healthy eating routines in place. And you've already lost three pounds. Yay!!!!! I'm sure that ticker is going to move again after your Thursday weigh-in as well!!!!

I have found this forum and the folks here to be so helpful. It makes it easier for me to stick to it if I'm talking regularly to my buddies here. Sounds like you've discovered the same thing!!!!

Keep up the great work!

wow you really accomplished a lot this past weeekend! i've been so busy and i had to read so much in your diary to catch up!!

your knocking those lists pretty well :p congrats on not binging! what did you get for your bday? anything exciting?

Guess I'm a little late your time, but I can still wish you a Happy Birthday! ;) We sure had a lot of bdays today! You are doing awesome! Resisting all those sweets and knocking out those things to do on your list! Keep it up! ;)

Morning Mrs B!

Glad you had a great birthday! And I'm so pleased that you felt good about it as well. And you managed to get loads ticked off your list as well, that's fantastic going! Hope the rest of the week goes as well as your weekend.

*hugs* dude, will see you later,

Bronsk

Thanks for all the well wishes and encouragement, guys! It means a lot to me :)

Crunchie, you must post some photos of your slow worms!! I don't think I have ever actually seen one, and they sound adorable! I think the spiders might freak me out though, I'm a bit of a wuss.

Lazyone, don't you worry missus, I'll be checking your ticker, and I shall have some stern words for you if it hasn't moved by the end of the day  ;)

Scarlett, I have found the same as you. This forum is really helping me stay focussed, and not feel so alone. I find it so comforting to talk to people who are going through similar experiences to me.

And Summer, aswell as that box of chocs (which disappeared within 10 minutes of them being opened today  , but then I do work with 30 people), I got an American Dad box set from hubby, a few little things from my sister, and then with money that I have had from my parents, my mother-in-law and my other sister I am going to buy ..... duh duh duuuuuuh .... a proper weight bench and a heart rate monitor. I have been planning to buy these items, but it is a certain amount of money. But now that I am cycling and doing weights regularily, I feel I can justify it. And now I wont actually have to contribute that much myself, so I am really chuffed :D

Thanks again guys :D

PS - Thanks Bronsk. It was your turn this time to nip in while I was typing. I'll have to get quicker :D

Mrs Bear here is a thread that was posted on the reptile forum I visit. If you scroll down you'll see photos of Eirinn doing some amusing things! She's the little lizard with no legs hehe;)

Wooooooooochacha!! I sneaked in ninja style post, quick, swift and deadly... or at least they will be once the belly's gone :D

Yay! Glad you're going to be able to get the weights and heart rate moniter! That'll be a fantastic investment, and it'll encourage you to keep going even more! Great stuff, dude!

Crunchie, your slow worms are ace! My brother's lizard mad, and once he heard they live in the wild in Belgium, he keeps a small slow-worm based hide in our back garden :D I've never seen one before, they're fab!

Bronsk

Wow, they look very moody, but I'm sure they aren't :D . It is true that people think of reptiles as being cold and boring, but i think they are fab, and they have just as much personality as dogs and cats. And I'm sure if I had a spider, I would probably grow to love them aswell.

By the way, my husband is registered at that forum under Georgevader. He doesn't go on very often, normally just if we need some advice, but keep an eye out for him and Buster!!

You're right Bronsk, even if I had paid a lot of money myself for some exercise equipment it is still not as much incentive as someone else having paid money towards it. I really am going to have to get use out of these things or i will feel way too guilty!!

Gosh, I've been being so nosey reading everybodies diaries, I almost forgot to put my official entry in today!!

I have had a good day today, although I have felt very drained. I think it is the effects of having sugar over the weekend ... I'm experiencing a sugar crash!

Food for today:

Breakfast: 50g porridge, 300ml milk, bran, 1 tsp honey (450 cals)
Lunch: As for breakfast (450cals)
Dinner: 2 dates, 75g low fat yog, 200ml milk, 1 mango, 1 apple, frozen black forest fruits, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, 8 or 9 brazil nuts (800 cals approx)

Total cals for today 1700 which is spot on for me, plus I feel that the healthy fruits, nuts and seeds will help get all the vits and minerals back into me after quite a nutritionally void weekend.

No intentional exercise today, although I was on my feet in the office all day at work, and as our car was being MOT-ed I had to walk 20 mins home.

Over all a good day, I am feeling positive and just hope that I don't disappoint this lady on Thursday!

Toodles, peeps!!

Well done with the day missus! And after the three cycles over the weekend, it's nice to have yourself a break. You've deserved it, dude!

20 minutes, depending on speed, should be about a mile, mile and a half, so that's good enough in itself :)

You'll definitely get use out of them, especially if you're using weights a lot now. Our Stridder we got yesterday has seen plenty of work in just two days; just having something there is encouragement enough.

I'm mrs health lady will be pleased with your progress. If she says anything nasty, I'll eat her face :D

Bronsk

Mrs B,
It sounds like a great day!!
