Mrs Bear's Diary

Cheers Bronsk & M2M! I am starting my diary entry a bit early today as I am on my break and cannot be bothered to race out on delivery. Also I am typing very slowly as I am using my right hand only .... left hand is feeling a bit strained after spending all my free time on here over the past week and a half! :D

So far feeling good today, and looking forward to changing my signature to 2 days!!

Breakfast: Porridge as usual (450 cals)
Lunch: 40g rice cakes, 60g goats cheese, 1 slice of ham and 3 toms (380 cals)

Also, I got my 80s play list done yesterday, and the 80s quiz we are going to hand out at the party .... which reminds me, I must go on play now and buy the prize .... a cheesy 80s movie box set!! :D

Laters!!!

Definitely sounds like a good day so far! Sorry about the hand, but no regrets? :D

Heehee, this sounds like it's going to be a fantastic party! Speaking of cheesey 80s films though maybe not quite, did you know John Travollta and that girl who plays Sandy didn't like each other. They just ended up getting cast together. I found that amusing! And that Sandy actually had to be sewn into her leather "you're the one that I want, you are my voullevent" trousers :D

Have fun!

Bronsk

No regrets, and I still can't stop myself!!!:D

Talking of Travolta Trivia, did you know that in Saturday Night Fever, he would get so sweaty dancing, that between takes they would have to dry his white suit with hairdryers!!!! Atleast they had plenty of incense in the 70s! :D

Hey buddy bear!! (your still my buddy even if its not official :p)

I'm finally going to do all your motivation justice today by exercising. I'm going to get on it right now ;)

Sounds like you've been doing really great, love to see it keep it up!

Your food is looking really great! Keep up the good work! (And that 80's trivia sounds like a blast... I have all sorts of 80s and 90s trivia games- I'm a fanatic)

Hey guys!! Thanks for dropping by! I may put a link in at some point to a copy of the quiz, so you can give it a go if you like. ;)

So, I was up to 830 cals when I last counted.....

Snack: 20g rice cakes, 60g goats cheese, 3 tomatoes (280 cals)
Snack: 50g exotic fruit crisps (nice, but cooked in oil!) (200 cals)
Dinner: smoooooothie!! 350g yog, 100 ml pineapple juice, 1 apple, frozen fruits and seeds, but no nuts (700 cals)

That makes total for today 2010, which is spot on for a work day on delivery. No intentional exercise again today, but my delivery was 3 hours of stop start walking, and I may even feel inspired enough to do some digging in the garden a bit later on!!

I am hoping to do a bike ride tomorrow, and when it stops feeling so muggy I may get around to having some veggie stirfry. No more smoothies this week though - they are healthy but, wow, they use up the cals!!!! :p

PS - Lazyone, I've got my eye on your ticker, madam!!!! :D

Just got in from digging up the garden for 1hr 30mins and I am drenched!! That was hard work. I have a few blisters and I ache a bit but it was a really good work out. I would almost go so far as to say it was intentional exercise, because that was what I was thinking when I was doing it.

Right, the stinker is going off for a shower now, as I have run out of incense and hubby has run out of the room!!! Phew!!!!!!!

My garden could use some work if you need some more exercise :) Since you are going for a bike ride tomorrow- I'm going to do the same! Thanks for the motivation

Its a deal, Val ;) . I was umming and ahhing about it, but if your going, then I will definitely go!

PS - The heart is willing, but the hands are sore and blistered :D

I have had a good day today, although I have felt very drained. I think it is the effects of having sugar over the weekend ... I'm experiencing a sugar crash!

This totally happens to me whenever I have sugar now. I'm glad to see I'm not alone!!!!! It's funny how all the unhealthy things that were part of our diet in the past now "poisin" us.

Sounds like you really burned some calories in the garden!!! Great job!!

Good stuff working in the garden, and well done for being spot on the calorie dot! I'd love to be able to make smoothies, but it sounds a tad messy and complex. And I think if I actually learnt, I'd be having them far too often!

I would push you into going for a bike ride, but I've backed out swimming for tomorrow. Need to pack... Would love to see the ticker go up before I go away :)

Hey Mrs Bear I had a funny thought today, I was thinking we should introduce our lizards but then I thought "...but Eirinn tries to eat anything that moves". It really is funny what the slow worms do, Eirinn (the fat one) has actually tried to eat me a couple of times starting with my pinkie. The other one (Harris) is a timid little girl and stays away from people most of the time, she's improved from when I first got her mind you. She flinched whenever anyone looked at her. :(

Anyway hope you're having a good week!:)

Hey all!

Scarlett, I often wonder how much the sugar was actually affecting my life, because I do feel better without it. It must have affected our bodies the same then as it does when we stray from out healthy diets now, only we were feeling so bad all the time that we just didn't realise.

Bronsk, I know what you mean about the smoothies, its almost like ice cream if you make it thick enough, and is very moreish. But, wow, it fills you up! I had 2 glasses of it yesterday at 3pm, and did not feel hungry again all evening (I went to bed at 9:30!!). Worth considering ;)

And Crunchie, I would have said before, not a good idea, because Buster can be a bit of a scardy cat, but now with all the exercise he is getting around the house (and climbing the stairs!) he is getting really strong. I have a job to hold him sometimes :D

Okay, very naughty .... weighed today (don't worry, I will own up on FSD  ) but I have a good reason. At the health centre, their scales never seem to correlate to my scales. I don't even mean the numbers (I am fully clothed and it is later in the day, so I know it won't be the same), but even the losses. I have always weighed myself each day that I have gone to see her, so I see the difference on my scales, but it doesn't show on hers. Last time I know from my scales that I was 6 lbs down from 7 weeks earlier when I had been weighed originally, but according to her I had lost three, gained two and lost another one ... that would only be 2 lbs lost!!!! But she also measured my waist and said that I had dropped 3cms in 2 weeks  . So this time I definitely wanted to know where I stood before going to see her, save getting depressed by false information. I will keep the results to myself though, and weigh in tomorrow as usual. I promise it will not happen again.

Good day so far... porridge for breakfast and I just had 1 salmon fillet, 125g cooked rice and 1/2 tub of carrot & coriander soup (mmmmmm) - total cals so far 1130. I have a snack and a main meal left to eat today, so I should come in around 2000 which would be good.

Thanks for dropping in guys, and apologies for the waffle :D

You've just reminded me about porridge so I shall maybe have that for my breakfast today. I've never really liked it all that much but every now and then I'll have to eat some and remind myself I don't like it heh! Hope you have a nice day, I think it's meant to be nice and sunny where you are!

Morning Mrs B!

All is forgiven for weighing in early. It's never fair when doctor's weigh you late on. At least you've seen the results and you'll feel good no matter what the read out. *hugs* hun, hope it all goes well. And hope you're pleased with your weight, looking forward to finding out tomorrow.

Have a fantastic day!

Bronsk

Hapy Birthday, Mrs. Bear. You are doing so great on the bike riding. Keep it up! I WISH sugar made me sick! Alas....it never does. I have high sugar tolerence. I can relate to feeling like you have to stuff yourself. I used to do that. I would say in the last year or so that is the one great thing that has changed about my eating. I don't eat until I make myself sick anymore. I still eat very compulsively, but not to the point that I feel like I can't do anything but lay down. You are on the right path. Take care today!

Hey mrs buddy bear! So glad to see you've been doing great. I don't think I need a pokin I think I've done ok :p . I have to go to work just wanted to check in.
Get on that bike little lady, 2 lazy chicks is not going to work :p

Have a great day.

Great going Lazyone, that ticker is moving now!! Unfortunately mine isn't today:eek: . I have let Val down aswell, but I was feeling quite achy today after digging yesterday, and I was so tired I actually had a couple of hours sleep this afternoon, before my weight management appointment. But our party has been postponed due to a few people being unavailable this weekend :( , so I will be able to do lots of cycling instead :D

Hey, Pineola, yep sugar makes me sick, but it still doesn't stop me eating it :D . Even with a small amount I get headaches and nausea the next morning, and I'm hoping that the longer I go without it, the more this will put me off having it.

Hello Bronsk, thanks for the good luck ((hug)). My appointment with the weight management lady was so-so. She said in the last 3 weeks I have lost nearly 5 lbs (yeah!!!!) then she measured my waist and that had stayed the same, so she said she thought I would have lost more weight from around there. Its like... what more do you want ... 5lbs with a really bad week on holiday, and then my birthday weekend. I think it touches a raw nerve because when I did my GCSEs, i got 2 A*s, 2 Cs, and the rest were Bs. Now I thought that was good, and 2 A*s was great, but all my parents said was 'We would have thought you would have got more As' ... aaaaaargghhhhhh! Funnily enough I lost interest in school after that .....

Okay, food for today ....

Breakfast: lumpy porridge :p due to obsession with chat forum :D (450 cals)
Lunch: 125g rice (200), 1 salmon fillet(280), 1/2 tub carrot and coriander soup(100), 1 tomato(20?) (600 cals) (I must have miscounted earlier:confused: )
Snacks: 1 slice ham, 1 apple (I don't know, about 50-100?)
Dinner: same as lunch but with 1 tsp oil and mixed veg (650 cals)

You may have noticed, I don't count the cals for veggies, as it is always fairly low and I take it into consideration with my calorie allowance.

So total is about 1750 or so, I'm very pleased :D and that is me for the day, I shall brush my teeth and resist the urge to comfort eat (its already fading after coming on here)

Thanks again guys for your encouragement and support, see those of you in the FSD tomorrow!!
