MyFitnessPal also has the ability to track your steps if you carry your phone on you while you walk.

Ooooo.. I just remembered I have a fitbit somewhere! I think it syncs with MFP. I'm going to have to search for it now. Any suggestions on where I put it? Your guess is as good as mine. haha!
 
I may have low-balled myself a bit too much setting a 7,500 step goal for this week. Specifically the goal is 5 out of 7 days even though I hit the goal all 7 days this week. My lowest day was 7,667 and my highest was 11,184 with an average of 8,963 steps.

Because of this week's results, I'm bumping my daily goal up to 8,000 steps. That's about 3.75 miles a day.

Also, does anyone have any suggestions on where I could look into some weight lifting information? Maybe a brand or type that you like to use? Video tutorials? Just whatever at this point. I'm a total newbie and am considering getting into it just for strength and toning. I have zero plans to bulk up, just want to have some more options for exercise if I am unable to walk for any reason or just need to rest my legs.

Since the beginning of this month. I got the new Charge 2 that just came out. It's supposed to have a much better heart rate monitor so that it's more accurate.

It's about to be 2 months to me i am obsessed with my fitbit i average 40 thousand steps a day . The past 2 ive been slacking off but that ends tom .highest badge ive received was my 70 thousand step badgView attachment 23938 View attachment 23938 e in one day . I will earn my Olympian badge (100,000 thousand steps) this month .
 
Good for you. Why not start your own diary & tell us about yourself. We can then visit you in your space. We all live in different time zones & sometimes it takes time, but this is a very supportive community.

Hey, Mowens. Hope you're doing well mate. Your diary seems to have gone off into a different stratosphere & we have lost you somewhere. How's the fitbit going?
 
I'm still around. :D

It seems difficult to find time to post during the weekend, and I don't work on Mondays, so there's usually about a 3 day hiatus for me after Fridays unless I can squeeze in something.

Having an almost 4 year old and almost 1 year old doesn't leave me a lot of time at home to post. Plus my wife babysits 3 other kids so the house looks like a circus on Mondays. :ack2:

I didn't quite reach my step goal today, I only got in just over 6,000 steps today but I got over 11,000 steps in yesterday. We went to my father-in-law's church celebration yesterday. He's a Baptist minister and it was his church's 60th anniversary. He's been there for about 26 years I think? Being that I live in Kentucky and it's a Baptist church, of course there was a potluck afterwards. I behaved myself. I shared a plate with my 3 year old and allowed her to eat away whatever I got too much of.

The Halloween candy in stores has been really tempting. I'm a sucker for those Brach's Mellowcreme pumpkins. They're like candy corn but even tastier. Our local Kroger already has the candy half off! The first week of October isn't even over! It's crazy. I'm sure in a week or two there'll be Christmas stuff sitting out.

Scale has been in my favor the last few days. Down a couple of more pounds. For about the first time in my life, my older brother is starting to look as heavy as me. I've always been the heaviest of the 3 of us.
