brrrr.. ok I have experienced the chill, now I am really ready to NOT have to scrap the ice off the car in the morning. Ug. I guess I should be happy it makes me add in a few more movements to the day that I don't normally do. Oh well.

I got to watching cheese Holiday TV last night & had to wonder WHY THE HECK THEY OUT THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS, & NEW YEAR'S EVE SO CLOSE TOGETHER?

Its like guilt central. I wish they could have spaced them out a touch more. I just saw the family & ate the big meal, now I have to do it all again - with presents, then a week later its time to booze it up & snack on all sorts of crap I wouldn't normally eat. Sure its nice, but I think it would be nicer if they spaced it out a touch more. Guess that would cut down on the shopping rush & excitement of the season. dunno, just a thought.

Well that silly pound was back this morning. I don't even care. I know I didn't eat great yesterday. I stay below 2000 calories, but it was mostly junk. I know I'm not getting my calcium, fiber, & protein in. I'm in that end of the year mode, where it just doesn't seem to matter one minute, then I get all gun-ho & want to do it... just ups & downs I guess from all the extra pressures.

Today I will try again & today I will exercise in some way. Walked 40 minutes last night even though I was pooped from working a 10 hour day & missing sleep the night before. All I wanted to do was shower, dry my hair & curl up in bed. So I am proud of that at least.

speaking of bed.. this caffiene better kick in soon! I am missing my bed pretty bad right now! Ahhh to sleep.. would be so nice, I might even dream of sugar plums or something!

I'm just glad I don't have to live or work near one of those charity collection sites where the volunteer sings loudly & rings the bell all day.. THAT would be Jingle Hell!

I am discovering a joy of cold weather, warm tea is delightful. Smells awesome, this one taste yummy & warms my face as I carry it close & the steam rises. I think is keeping me from wanting those cookies in the workroom.
 
World Market had a bunch of their holiday teas on sale on saturday but I was too cheap to actually spend 7 dollars for a container :) I might have to go back this weekend :)
 
yeah I'm not sure I would spring the $9.00 for this one (& I think its almost insulting that they are giving 75 CENTS for each one sold when they cost $9 each!). One of the perks at work that we get good tea for free. We have several boxes/cans open to sample at any given time.

...course if it goes on sale maybe I might get this one.
 
So another thread on here got me thinking about sparkpeople & I got to really looking around at the stuff on there. I realized that I hadn't updated that thing in so long. I track my food in there, but not much else. The calorie ranges always seemed really low & no wonder why... I had enter that I wanted to lose a lot of weight really fast...duh. I know it takes 3500 calories to lose a pound. I can either burn it or not eat it, but it takes time & one of the two to do it.

I need to print that out & post it on my computer screen so I can see it more & not be tempted by all this yummy crap that keeps coming in the door. Magic cookie bars??? really? magically go straight from the plate to my mouth to my arse... :willy_nilly:ahhh.. oh well tis the season. Besides I refuse to miss out on life. I will never be a salad every meal kinda girl. I'm just not that good.

I will just have to be better with moving more... but it sucks to leave work exhausted & its all dark & cold outside. Just makes me want to get comfy & relax. I WILL learn to love this. I want to be that athletic vixen who can rock around the christmas tree instead of just flopping in front of the fire with a mug of cocoa. ...think santa can deliver energy?

Amen to that sistah....

I will never be one of those eat to live people... I suppose if I really put my back into it I could but that'd seriously be no fun at all... I enjoy food... I love to eat... I live to eat.. I like flavor, texture, aroma... it's the moderation part that will always be a struggle :D
 
I just wonder whats the point in life if you get smaller & the "ideal" size & are unhappy. I love that quiznos (I think it is anyway) commercial where the "model" is sitting on the bench watching the "normal" lady eat a sandwich & you hear Ms perfect internally talking about how the lady eating is enjoying it too much.

I love it. I know I will never be the model, but I can enjoy a freaking sandwich without hating myself.
 
I saw that commercial recently -and while the sandwich didn't appeal to me -I love the idea behind te commercial... Once a week I generally go out to lunch with the boy... and they really appreciate the fact that while they pretty much guess that I'm losing weight - they say I don't eat like a girl... I do not like salads... never have...
 
yeah. I didn't really think that sandwich looked that great, but just the fact that she is eating it in public & enjoying it. I think its hilarious that the other chick is in a tizzy. Just go get your own & live a little.

I'm so glad I packed my lunch today. otherwise all this sandwich talk would have me going for a drive thru. My proportioned spaghetti will be just fine.

LOL...i totally agree...see exercise programs and dvds only want the people who have had success using their product. If they would show a fat person using their equipment and product it would look like it product doesn't work at all....

But I too will have to say so true to that lol!!

in the building we're moving to -there's a quiznos in the lobby - quick place for lunch I suppose - Q never used to post their nutritional info - now they do - and I think I figured out why they never did... Many of their items contain trans fats...
