Momma4alex’s adventures in surprising my man….

New update... lol I'm currently 14wks2days based on my period doc has me down at 13wks3days based on the first ultrasound which has my due date at 11/20/08 which i said didn't match up with timing. she said that it all an estimate anyways that baby will show up when he/she is good and ready.. lol

We heard the heartbeat today at my appt and she said it sounded nice and strong although the baby was trying to hide from her.. lol just like his/her older brother. Alex hated the doppler and u/s machines. He would always hide or move away or kick them off my tummy. I told her i'm hoping the baby is a girl. She said that we should be able to tell at my next u/s which i have no clue when that will be since my next appt is june 12th at 11:15am and she said we would schedule the big u/s then. :( i was so hoping to get it scheduled today but nope. I'll be 17 or 18 weeks depending on who you asks date. Well thats all for now. see you all around soon. Oh yeah i'm only up to 247 lbs from 245 when i had my first ob appt which was at 6wks. she said that was good for being 14wks along and not wanting to gain much in the first place.
 
:hurray: Yay sounds like a gr8 doctor visit!!!!! I am excited for you and I wish us both GIRLS lol yeah I know healthy is #1 and so is a healthy GIRL lol this is my last and I will so love to raise another girl since its been 9 years.
Well congrats on not gaining that is gr8 I know I have GAINED majorly specially these last 2 weeks (4 lbs to be exact) so after my girls party tomorrow I am back on track SUNDAY!!!!!!!Well keep in touch **huggs**
 
currently 17wks5days and counting.. lol I am at a total gain of like 3 or 4 lbs since the start of this pregnancy. Last doc appt was on 6/3/08 due to a fall in walmart on my ass which knocked the wind outta me but baby is doing well. I weighed 247.6 at my appt so i am very happy bout that. I'm hoping that in the next 22wks of pregnancy that i can keep my weight below the 260 mark and so far so good. i really didn't want to hit the 250 mark again but i'm sure i will since i'm preggo. lol :p anyways hope all is doing well. I have my big ultrasound to find out whether this baby is a girl or boy on JUNE 30TH @ 1:30 pm pst as well as my next d/a so i'll find out how much i have gained at that appt. We are going shopping for baby after my appt if we find out boy or girl so i'll update later that night when i get home. talk to you all soon. I miss you all.

WOW WALMART and falling that had to be scary BUT I am glad you and baby doing well!! GL with your ultrosound and I can't wait to see what your having have a nice relaxing week!!Tammy
 
Well I'm currently 21wks6days and Last week we found out we are adding another little boy to our family. His name is Cameron Nathan. He weighed in at 12 oz so far and doc said that he's doing great health wise. I have one more 4wk appt on August 4th then will start going every week or every other week as i am at risk for preterm labor and she doesn't want to chance his health or mine. My little boy wasn't exactly thrilled at first about finding out he wasn't getting a sister like he wanted so much but he's now happy about having a little brother and can't wait for him to be born... he keeps asking me mommy when is he coming out of your tummy.. its so funny and cute. well thats my update oh yeah weight is still doing pretty good. i have only gained 5 lbs so far my whole pregnancy. i'm up to 250 lbs but still have 18wks to go till i have this baby so i'm sure i may end up getting to 260 but either way i know i can lose it with the help from the wonderful people on this board and from my family support.
 
:hurray:Yay! Congratulations on your happy expectation of another son! What a blessing for your family. Congratulations also on your low weight gain so far - you must really be maintaining control on your food intake and/or getting in some good regular exercise. Keep it up!

Current update: 26wks4 days or 94 days left. Yikes.. baby and i are doing good. I currently am under strict guildlines to gain 15 lbs more in the 94 days i have left. I have only gained 5 lbs my whole pregnancy and my midwife doesn't like that. She is having me do ultrasounds every 3 weeks for growth scans to make sure baby isn't suffering since i haven't been gaining weight.

Anyways baby and i are doing good. Hubby is doing ok too. he's working 3-4 weeks on and 3-4 days off per month as he is wanting to try to save up some money before our baby boy gets here. Our 4 year old is a handful as usual but is very excited bout having a baby brother. he keeps asking when he's going to be born. haha. Can't wait till i can get back into losing weight again and hopefully this time reach my goal of losing 100 lbs by the time this baby is 2 years old and my son reaches 6 years old.
 
Hello All.. things have been really crazy.. Where to start first off my son has had five seizures since August 3rd and we don't know whats causing them at all. he is now on meds for that. He's only 4 years old and today was the first time he had to get an iv in his little hand... :( We are hoping that the meds work and we can keep him from having anymore seizures.

Pregnancy is going well as can be expected. I am on permanent bedrest till baby Cameron is born due to preterm labor. Currently I'm about 70% effaced but not dilating yet and am on some yucky meds that have really nasty side effects. I still haven't gained more then 5 lbs and am having growth scans to make sure cameron is growing good. He weighed 3.5 lbs as of September 2nd and will find out if he gained more on September 22nd.

I have taken more belly pics so i'll be adding some here. Oh yeah those were taken today
 
Birth Story and update as he's now 3 weeks old

Birth Story
36wks6days along
Short- Cameron Nathan was born October 28th @ 5:24am 6 lbs 3 oz 20 inches long.
Long- My water broke the morning of Tuesday, October 28th @ midnight. Prior to that I had been having contractions of for what was several weeks. I had gone to L&D on Sunday night due to Cameron not moving much to find out that I was 3cm dilated and 60% effaced and that he was at -2 station in the canal. The morning when my water broke, I was chatting online with a few friends and told them I think my water just broke. So I got up to go to the bathroom as I wasn’t sure if it was really my water or if I had just peed myself.. lol So went potty.. then when I stood up there was no mistaking it as it gushed all over the toliet and the bathroom floor. As my hubby wasn’t home due to his trucking job I had to wake my mom up and then we had to call to find someone to watch Alex as we couldn’t get ahold of the baby sitter.
I got to the hospital bout 12:15am and the contractions weren’t coming on that bad. They were just starting to get to the painful side.. We waited to call hubby and my sis till we confirmed that it was indeed my water that had broke. Hubby was about 2-3 hour drive from were we lived and my sister lived about 2 hours away so before telling them that I was in labor we wanted to be for sure. My sister got there first and kinda just stood there and was talking to us till the contractions started getting really bad then she and my mom kept reminding me to breath as I guess I was dealing more with trying to push then anything.. I got a half dose of stadol as I didn’t want to be totally drunk/loopy feeling like I was with my first and at that point I was 4-5 cm dilated.. that lasted for a bit then around 4something not exactly sure I asked for more drugs as I was really hurting and they kept reminding me that I didn’t want the epidural. So they gave me the other half of the dose of stadol. I got to the point where the contractions were right on top of each other and the nurse checked me and said I only had a tiny lip of cervix left and needed to roll onto my side but at that point I was in so much pain I couldn’t move.. At around 5:15 the doctor finally arrived and the nurse and everyone kept telling me to breath through the contractions as I couldn’t push till the doc was totally suited up. Anyways… when he finally told me I could push I went at it like it was no ones business.. I remember them telling me to push and that his head was almost there.. then they told me to do one small push well without thinking I gave it my all which is why I think I ripped.. but my baby was out.. I ended up with a first degree tear which I needed stitches for but not sure how many. That part hurt cause they gave me 4 shots to numb the area which didn’t take full affect and I could still feel him stitching me up.
Cameron’s apagar scores were an 8 at 1min and 9 at 5 minutes. He’s doing great at breastfeeding.. we had a scare with jaundice levels so they put him under the bili lights for 12 hours to get his numbers down before allowing us to be discharged. We came home last night and things have been going great. I wake up every 3 hours to feed him as I’m breastfeeding which is going good.


Update-11/21/08
Cameron is now 3 weeks old and weighs 7 lbs 13 oz as of yesterday. She did say to minus 5-6 oz as he was fully clothed as he was sleeping. He's currently eating every 2 hours on the dot unless i give him any formula to supplement as sometimes he's still acting hungry after nursing for a good 45 minutes. I'm currently back in all my pre-preggo clothes and some are a little tight but others are getting big on me. I weighed 235 yesterday at my wic appt so i was surprised about that.. lol i'm almost a full 20 lbs lighter then i was when i went into have him. anyways.. he's waking up again so gotta go. will update again soon.
 
WOW GIRL!!!I read that word for word and I reallllly hope mine goes that smoothly,but I have no luck in that department lol I found out on MON mine is breeched and thats why I am carrying very high and hes all in this one spot under my boobs,I have trouble breathing at times depending on how I am laying or sitting this one has really been uncomfy and I have 4 weeks and 5 days till I am 40 weeks.

Congrats on getting into your pre pregg clothes lol that will be alot of work again for me since I have had this BAD pain in the butt sweet tooth cravings lol I was 205 my last vist and I started at 155 grrrrrr!!!

Ok somewhat of an update. Things at home have been super rough. Alex is currently in the Hospital at UCSF due to his seizures getting outta control and meds not stopping them anymore. He's currently having anywhere from 2-20 a day and is on meds around the clock to try to control them. We have been in the hospital now for almost a month. He's having surgery to try to take care of the swelling that is in the right side of his brain and hopefully that will stop the seizures and we will get to go home.

Please pray that he makes it through the surgery ok and that the seizures go away and stay away. I'll update when i can as i don't usually have a computer to use everyday. In fact I only have the one i'm using to update till 8:30am as its a loaner from the hospital that you have to request everyday and there is a high demand for them.

anyways i am on hold for weightloss but still think of everyone on this board all the time. Hope to be back in action soon as Alex is back home and i can take the boys out for walks without having to worry about alex having a seizure.

Ive said this many time and if i was closer and could be there for you guys I would be in a heart beat doing anyhtign I could.

The surgery has been scheduled for February 25th at 8am and its a 12 hr surgery so please keep alex in your prayers. i'll update again as soon as i can. Cameron is doing great and getting big too. i'm on hold as far as weightloss since the eating at the hospital isn't helping one bit as i can't exercise here. Ugh. anyways soon as my boys are both healthy and happy again i will be back in full swing.

Been a long time since I've stopped by, glad I did now.

Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful son! You must be extremely tired at this point, coping with labor, delivery, new babe, and all of the worries concerning son #1.

You just know that there are many folks already praying for you and your sweet family - especially as surgery date approaches. You are such a good Mom! And kids really, truly are quite strong and flexible. Once they sort it all out, this will be just a distant memory for you all. I believe it!

Well its now past the original surgery date. The surgery was canceled due to him spiking a fever of 104.5 on the morning of his surgery. Its now rescheduled for March 11th @ 8am again still 12 hr surgery but hopefully nothing this time will stand in our way of getting my little boy healthy and back to his normal happy self. The baby is doing great though. he is now 4 months old and is 14 lbs 6 oz and still not sure on the length but he's big. he's wearing 3-6 month clothes and some 6 month clothes so that should tell you how big he is.. lol anyways i'll post again soon and i'm starting a blog on another site that is just about his care and how things are going so soon as that gets up an running i'll post the link in here for those of you who are interested in following it.

Oh Yeah as i was thinking bout the whole weightloss thing and missing everyone here i decided to check my weight as i hadn't in a while. I am at 238.4 lbs which isn't too bad. i thought i would have gained a ton not eating to healthy and not exercising hardly at all other then walking around the hospital and lifting alex in and outta bed but he's 60 lbs. lol
