Miss Ladybugs Diary

HELLO LADIES!!!! 2skinny, Korrie, My twin, Cinder & Bel, and everyone else who has stopped by in the past few weeks. I'm so, so busy right now, today I had to work from home as my car is in the shop, it has a blown "Air Conditioner Compressor", and well if I don't fix it, it could potentially lock up the belt that turns it, and it also turns my water pump and a few other items, OIY!! they say 700.00 to get it done, but what else is new, I just threw down 450.00 a month ago for new brakes, always something right ladies. I'm truly grateful I have a vehicle so I'm not going to complain. But geez the car only has 40K miles go figure warranty on that ended 5K miles ago. LOL LOL Murphy's Law I guess.

Well, I haven't weighed in for about two weeks, so I'm not sure where i stand on that front, I don't think I've gained anything, but I haven't had a lot of time to run or ride the bike, so I'll have to really get at it tomorrow and the rest of this week. I'm getting ready for Aunt Flo to stop by in the next few days, so I feel like a bloated beast. LOL LOL

The weather has been crappy the past few days here, it rained today and was super cold!...brrrr I started a fire and it looks so warm and cozy. I also took my sewing machine in for servicing last weekend, they said it should be ready by Friday. Oh and they also said they charge 75.00 for that, can you believe it??? Come on, I was thinking 40 or 45, Geez inflation is really yanking my purse strings these days. But, I really want to start sewing again, I miss that big time, and I would love to start making some quilts and skirts for work.

Not much else going on, just staying busy with work, and the house. And hopefully more working out this week, that's my goal. My son came by today he followed me to the mechanic and then we went to lunch together and I bought his car tag for him, hey what are moms for right? He is currently sleeping or napping for awhile, it was nice having him around the house today, felt like old times. Well, I need to go see some diary's badly. I MISS YOU ALL SO MUCH, but I know you already know that. Take Care and HUGS AND LOVE
Kim

We all have the winter's coming blues?

Hi Kim; that is so cool you were thinking of me last week ... you're psychic.

Sounds like we both hate cold weather. lol

You miss those boys, awwww, I totally understand. It will be me soon.

What are your thoughts on what is do-able for exercise at this time in your life? I'm thinking elliptical trainer and some free weights to gently get back into jogging.

its cute that you and your son spent some time together today. $75 for fixing a sewing machine! Ouch. I love to sew. I haven't done it in a while because I am all wrapped up in visiting family once a week (one day to my father's, one to my mother's), school, and work. Its just crazy. The very first thing I made on a sewing machine was a cinderella looking wrap around skirt. I loved it... but I never wore it. lol. Hope things warm up for ya, and you have a wonderful day today!

Hmmm thoughts about what is do-able this time in my life. Well....... I love to bike, so that's a plus, and of course I'm going to put more weight training in this time around. Last year I only did weight training a few days a week, I need more strength training and toning I think. I LOVE the elliptical, but honestly I can run full board on that thing for hours, I think that's why I really would like to start running, but during the winter where do you do that?? I hate running on the track at the gym it bores me to tears!!!! I was supposed to stop by my grandmothers this past weekend to get that treadmill, then all of a sudden she said her trainer at the gym told her she should start using it again, SAY WHAT???? come on, she knows as well as I do, she's not going to do that. She bought it several years ago, spent like 1600.00 on it and only used it a dozen times, it's been folded up in the closet for about 2 years now, really do I believe she's going to start using it again, NO WAY, she'll be calling me in another 3-4 months saying I can now buy it from her for 200.00 bucks because she's not using it, and by that time I'll have gone out and bought my own, I hate waiting on people, it is a pet peeve of mine. So, I'm not sure did I answer your question. LOL LOL LOL it's sooooo nice to see you back, I'm going to keep saying that you know. LOL

Yeah, can you believe 75 dollars, HOLY SMOKES I about wet myself... but gained composure quickly. I think it has to do with the type of machine I have, it's an older model Phaff machine, it's German made and it's a heavy duty sucker, I mean it weighs about 35 pounds, no kidding!

But, it has all those nice fancy stitching buttons on it and it really sews beautifully, I can't wait to get it back.

How cute you made a wrap skirt, I love those, even though I haven't wore one since way back when, but if you make then with the right material and a little form fitting, you can really have a sheik slick look, with the right pair of strappy heels, hmmmmm I'm going to see if I can find any good patterns out there for one, thanks for the idea. hehehehe

Enjoy your day!

I have the DAY OFF!! YEA~

Since I work for a state program I have the day off, YIPPY SKIPPY!

Of course I'm without a car, so that leaves me stuck at home, but I don't mind, I should have my car back by later today, I'm fine with that. I'm thinking about my meal plan for the day, I think I'll have some berries and milk for breakfast, and then make some hard boiled eggs for later. No I'm not going to eat several of them, just one today, and I'll keep the others for later in the week. I love hard boiled eggs and I need my protein.

I'm going to jump on the bike and work on the weight bench today I promised myself I would work on weights at least every other day this time around and I plan on sticking to that.

I actually had a decent sleep last night. I've not slept soundly in weeks, I mean I get to sleep really fast, no problem there, it's just that I've been sleeping really light and I hear every crackle and pop until about 4am, then I finally get in my REM sleep and I'm good to go. It's strange I never had that problem before, I've always been a good sleeper, I think it's just stuff, to much nonsense stress going on that I need to just release and let go of. Sometimes that's easier said then done I'm afraid. But, I'll work it out. Maybe getting back into my workout regimen I'll change things up a little and get more scheduled again. I'm going to really try my best.

Well, it's time to eat a little something for breakfast, you can't miss that meal, it's the most important of them all. I'll post my days meals later this evening. CHOW EVERYONE!
HAPPY VETERANS DAY!!!!!!

I can't believe it!!!
Two Days in a row............you really are back!!!! YEAH!!!
Missed ya soooo much. In fact when Kimberly and I got together last week we were talking about how all the people that we used to "hang out" with last year seemed to have disappeared.
But here you are!
To bad about the treadmill. That would totally drive me nuts. It really chaps my rear when people say you can have something and then they change their minds at the last minute. Hopefully that situation will all work out for ya.
Can't believe that your boys are out on their own! My oldest graduates this year and will most likely be staying on campus when he heads off for college this fall. He won't be far away but still..........you know.
WOWSER on the $75 for the sewing machine. MIL had to have hers fixed last month and this little old man (late 70's) came to her apartment and fixed it. Only charged her like $5. Said that it was nice to talk to someone from his era and that that was payment enough. How Sweet!
I keep getting this feeling that I want to run but so far I have been able to hold it back! HA!
Maybe one of these days I'll let that beast out of the box. hehehe
Well gotta go. Hubby and I are having lunch today, so I gotta run.
Gotta get BE-U-T-FULL you know. :biggrinjester: LOL
Catch ya later~

YEAH I know all about getting beautified for your man!! But women you SPEW beauty naturally, I've seen your pictures, you have that natural beauty we all wished we had. My hubby did say to me the other day that only certain women can go with out makeup and pull it off, he said I was one of those, hmmmm I wonder if he was medicated that day... LOL LOL sometimes he just surprises me with his words, and THAT DAY was one of them. AHHHHHHH aren't our hubby's the best ever!!! Enjoy your lunch my friend. AHHHHHH

VBF!

Wow, busy busy busy girl! Maybe your sleep is all light because you subconsciously miss your boys, and your body's "listening" for them at night to make sure they're all right? The mother instinct thing? *shrugs* Yeah I wouldn't know I guess. I hope you have a fantastic workout, and man oh man things ARE expensive these days, aren't they????

HUGS!!!

Car issues are no fun. I just had my brakes done yesterday, and I had that air compressor issue with my car in college. It was $600 to fix it back in the early 90s!!

I've been sewing lately, too, but by hand b/c I'm masochistic. :D Making curtains for my living room and then will make some throw pillows for my sectional. I just never liked sewing machines even though they are soo much faster than by hand. It seems I'd have more probs with the machine that it just seemed easier to do it by hand.

I wonder if Dawn's MIL's sewing machine repairman does other types of repairs around the house for $5..lol. I'll pretend to be an old lady from his generation (or bring my gran over to act as lady of the house..lol) to make it worth his while. :D

I'm impressed with your elliptical prowess. I can only get on one for about 3 min before I've had enough. :D But I can pedal a bike all day long--well, that might be a slight exaggeration.

MENU for the day

Okay, I really sunk deep and came up with some good stuff today, and also found I have enough stuff in this house to eat for a month "all good" hehehe, I'm still not sure exactly what I'll have for dinner, but I'm thinking a cup of Brussel Sprouts-"steamed" with a little vinegar and some more berries about 1/2 cup and probably finish up the rest of the tuna, I opened the can to make my what I call a tuna salad, onion, sweet relish"verylittle" and honey mustard. So below is what I have eaten today, and my excercise for the day.

Exercise: 1 hr biking
weight training, various squats lifts etc... 30 minutes
lots of dancing since I have the music cranked up on satellite "The Groove" channel--good thing I don't have neighbors close by. LOL LOL

Wow, nice food intake, Doll. Berries and tuna ... can't get much better than that!

I had to laugh at your commentary about dear old granny changing her mind about the treadmill. Sheesh. Do you really think the old girl will try to SELL it to you?? LOL A friend just showed me his $2,000 treadmill and it is top of the line, can't remember the brand now .. doh!

Re: sleepless nights or light sleeping I've been experiencing that since I was 35 when I was flung into surgical menopause. I take 100mg trazadone which works like a charm ... but that's after years of insomnia so I appreciate a person's desire to go as long without meds !

Way to go on all the healthy stuff in your kitchen. When I grocery shop just the outside aisles, I see my food go down the conveyer belt at the cash register, and look over at someone else's cart with boxes, cans, chips, (all the inside aisle stuff) and sneak a look at them and see they are overweight. And I'll feel happy I made a good choice. Changed lifestyle is really a series of moment by moment choices. Ah, the philosopher is out again. lol

Have a nice day off too Kim :)

LMAO Anna you crap me up girlfriend!! I really do buy a lot from the fruit/veggie dept that's my favorite location in the store, other than the bakery which I try to stay away from all together because it's to damn tempting for me.

Hmmmm do I think my granny will sell it to me, well who the heck knows at this point, it just pisses me off that I know for a fact it will become a towel rack after a month, that's all I'm saying!!!!

And about taking drugs for sleep, OIY! I have to fess up, I am one of those individuals that wants to hold out as long as possible in not taking drugs. The last thing I took prescript wise was birth control and well you know how far back that was now. LOL LOL I will take an occasional sinus tab, but only one if I have a serious pressure or migraine going on, but that might only happen once or twice a year, HALLELUJA!!!!!!!!!!!

Well my bike ride tonight was a killer, see my stationary bike is not like the bikes at the gym, it's an older one, maybe from the friggen 1980's or something, LOL LOL no maybe the 1990's because it does have a digital panel on it that shows miles and time, this thing has a HUGE ass wheel in the front, not your regular wheel, this one is powered by air girl, and your strength. It's a hard ass thing to ride, because not only does it have that huge wheel, it also has two handle bars that move back and forth as you peddle, so your getting leg workout and arm and shoulder workout, it's a killer if I have to say so. Let's just say I can ride like a MO-FO on the bike at the gym I would say I do about 10 miles in 35 minutes at the gym, that's hauling some serious booty. Well, on this one by the time an hour is done I'm WIPED OUT! my shoulders hurt, my ass crack is killing me, and my legs feel like I ran a marathon, now you know why I Hate riding this bike, even though I'm POSITIVE I'm getting twice the workout, it still sucks moldy cheese in my opinion.

Well, that's the jist of things, and well it's dinner time and I've only eaten 2 cups of Steamed Sugar Snap Peas, and I'm not hungry, not a good thing in my book, maybe I'll shell some peanuts to get some extra protein and calories, I have to get at least 1200 a day or I'm screwing myself.

Time to go visit more diary's you all have a great evening!
HUGS TO YA
Kim

Hey Beautiful! Good to see you back on here. I've been pretty sketchy myself lately. Just too damn much to do!! So what's the number on the scale now? I remember it being around 160 awhile ago. I'll bet you'll be in the 150's soon if you haven't made it there yet. Sorry to hear about all the car troubles. I just have to drop $500 on mine just to have the 60K service to keep the warranty valid. :( I am about the get new tires and those suckers are almost $200 each!

Sorry I don't have long to post. I have to get a weight workout in before bed. Call me this weekend if you get a break. I'll be around!!!

Imma stop in and say hi, 'cuz I've seen you pop in on some friend's's diaries here, gotta see who this Ladybug chick is ya know?

Damn you have a long diary! I skimmed a couple of posts. Enough to enjoy your sense of humor, and your attitude. I'll be a regular. (hmm, promise or threat? you decide).

ooo im not the only one who eats that! Brussel Sprouts steamed! yum!
People call me crazy but its sooo yum and low cal. Never tried the vinger though with it.

I remember those bikes though - with the arms. A flatmate had one back in 1991 and it was the newest coolest shit then hehe.
But they do give you a great workout!

Hello Sweetcheeks!! I looked at your picks and OH MY GOSH, your smoking girl! your hubby is going to be all over you when he gets back. I'm proud of you, really your inspiring to me. I'm in the 160's upper 160's at this point so I have a ways to go, but I'll get in the 150's eventually it might take another 6 months, but I'm ready again, so I will get there! maybe when we all get together I'll be at my goal weight. I'm trying new stuff this time around and giving in to more weight training then before. You know I was the cardio queen, now I need to be the weight trainer queen. LOL LOL I'll buzz you this weekend and get caught up. Have a good day girlie!

Hey you can stop by ANYTIME you wish. I try to keep a good up beat attitude, because if I don't I know I'll fail. There are so many ups and downs on the weight loss train, if you don't stay positive, then those weeks when the scale doesn't move you'll beat yourself up. To me life is to short to do that to myself. I focus on being happy not that I lost weight, but that I worked out consistently and at least ate well that week. Those are the things that keep me plugging forward.

I've been on here quite awhile, and I've made some terrific friends, everyone here is so great and they really are good support for anyone looking for a leg up. So if you want to stop by and give me a two handed boost, you just come on by, I'm always looking for the next victim. LOL LOL LOL
SEE YOU LATER GATOR

I love green veggies, all my friends think I'm nasty, well I am nasty just not in that kind of way. LOL LOL LOL anyways, I love all my greens and really I can't think of any veggie I don't like at this time. I has some wonderful Sugar Snap Peas last night, YUM they were fantastic.

Yeah, this bike is a killer to say the least, I feel so worn down after my ride, I guess that's a good thing, at least I know I'm truly burning some calories. WOOPIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! maybe I'll finally get my treadmill then I can start running at home too, that's my furture goal, near future if at all possible. Got to run.
Chow babes!
