Can you believe this, it's RAINING here again. AHAHHAHA We had ONE week of sun after the last month of full rain, and now it's raining again, OH MY GOSH!!! Good thing I got everything mowed and planted yesterday. LOL LOL So much for the pool getting done this coming weekend. This weather is just unreal!!!
 
Hi Miss Ladybug! Cinderelly told me that you do the group power classes too. I read back in your diary a bit and read that you also do group groove. Aren't those classes awesome! I just started trying these classes out in June and I LOVE them - especially group power. I'm totally hooked. I've only done group groove twice & haven't been since the recent launch, mostly because if I have the opportunity I shoot for a group power class. I'll be thinking of you out there, too, when I'm powering or grooving. Keep up the good work!

Hey Vanessa!! How cool is that, I finally have somebody on here that does the group classes too. WOW!! I started out in Feb taking Group Centergy, then I thought I needed to try some others so two months later by myself I started Groove, I was HOOKED!! My girlfriend loves the Group Power classes, but to be honest those our my least favorite of all the group classes. BUT.... as I've mentioned just recently, I'll be powering up on those for a few weeks, to see if it will help jump start my plateau and get me going down on the scales again. I'm so happy our gym has these classes, I was really getting tired of the elliptical and biking every day. I still do those to, but not nearly as often as I would before. I'll stop by your diary and check in too. Thanks for stopping by!
 
LB, let's start the challenge today. IMHO the challenge should be more along the lines of sticking to our plan for 9 days straight through the end of July. Considering you're always good, that shouldn't be a problem for you. We should not worry about the scale numbers however because the scale is evil and may not comply, as we all know. Better to base this on what we're doing than what that evil scale is doing.

Its pouring rain here too.
 
Sounds Great!! I'm so ready for this. And on that note, I've drank so much water in the last hour I need to take a potty break, before we have some issues here.

LB, let's start the challenge today. IMHO the challenge should be more along the lines of sticking to our plan for 9 days straight through the end of July. Considering you're always good, that shouldn't be a problem for you. We should not worry about the scale numbers however because the scale is evil and may not comply, as we all know. Better to base this on what we're doing than what that evil scale is doing.

I agree Blancita, it's all about sticking to habitual goals, scale numbers are just a benefit of adhering to the plan. I hope you have a nice day today Kim!

Oh YEAH!! ZINNIA'S beautiful!! You go girl!! And I read through that article and I found so MANY of those ideas could be me in a nut shell, for example sometimes I think I'm working out TO MUCH, then I think maybe my body is in STARVATION MODE, even though I eat until I'm full and if I'm hungry I eat, I never hold back on food, but I think I might need to keep the Zig Zag going and try to eat more ever few days, even if I don't feel like it. And lastly, I think also it could be that SAME ROUTINE deal, and I'm actually trying to incorporate more weight training in my routine this week and see if that helps. Either way, I just don't care about the scales anymore, I know I'm benefiting from the workouts and I know I'm getting real toned and that's all that really matters, I'm still healthier today then I was this time last year, so there is no room for being a baby about not losing a pound, that's just BS and I'm going to stop doing it! My focus, keep up the exercise, try new things and eat well. That's for life and that's my goal at this point. I need to plant some more flowers this weekend, I really need a nice small flowering tree for in front of the deck, there is the blank spot that needs something and badly! Thanks CYM, I so appreciate you!!
 
Sara: Thanks so much!! It's sunny today. YEAH!!!! :) I need to get to home depot and buy me some wicks for my Tiki Torches, they are thrashed from all the rain and bad weather. I tried to sit out on the side deck Sunday and I was eaten alive by SKEETERS! damn bugs!! We bought some really nice torches for the deck around the pool last year, we should buy the same ones for the side deck as they are made of glass almost like a lantern and they keep a lot longer. Plus they look pretty. LOL LOL I'm such a girlie girl sometimes. :)

Well last night we did the WHOLE NEW group Groove class, it's all new now, no old songs and routines, YES!! It was a blast! Before class I biked about 8 miles and burned 460 calories on the bike, probably another 350 in class, it was high impact all the way. I ate so good for dinner, I had one Lean Pork Loin (grilled) Oh it was awesome!!! I cut up watermelon and steamed some potatoes, I did use about a teaspoon of butter, but instead of ranch or sour cream I put about 1/2 cup of salsa on my potato, oh my mouth is watering now!! And I had about 1/4 cup of corn. I'm trying to eat more protein, so the pork was extra lean NO FAT and grilled I thought it was a nice change from my normal chicken or turkey. HEHEHE. Well, tonight it's Group Power, and I might run on the elliptical for 3 miles before, depends on my mood, or maybe just jog/walk around the track a mile or two. I slept good last night, so that's a HUGE PLUS. But...... I have a lot to do at work so I better get busy. Everyone have a great day today!! I'll check diary's as I can. CHOW

Kim, that's a good perspective to have about the pounds. But these tweaks to your plan are worth it because we really do want to trick our bodies into losing the fat we don't feel like carrying around anymore and we have a right to want that for vanity and health reasons. My point here is not to be unhappy with your body and the incredible progress you've made, but just to make the point that once we can get to our goal weight, we can maintain it doing less than we're doing now (eating more and working out a bit less). In other words, I'm basically eating around the same, and exercising around the same, as I do at my goal weight (which is my normal weight but where I must be vigilant to stay at). So if I could just find a way to get myself back to my goal weight, I'll be happier with my weight yet I'll be doing the same thing I'm doing now (which is eating plenty but healthy when possible and not exercising like crazy, but still regularly). So ultimately what I'm getting at is that doing these little tricks to get our weight going is worthwhile, even though I agree with you that we shouldn't obsess or feel down about the scale number while we're trying to get to our goal. I'm sure this re-feed and then zig zag approach will work for you (I followed the zig zag approach the entire past year).
 
Yeah, I have a lot of work to do on my body still, I'm always up for trying new stuff. I think the Zig Zag is my first change started last week by your suggestion, and this week, I'm changing up my gym routine by adding more weight training. Let's see what happens. I feel real good I'll say that. My gut is a little bloated today, I think my aunt flow is on her way to town in about 5-6 days. That's fine, but her ass better not show up next weekend while I'm on my anniversary vacation or I'm going to go balistic!!!!!!:eek:

LOL, I know I feel the same way, but this was like eating a NO FAT piece of white meat girl, we got them from Sam's club, it was awesome. I'm a chicken and turkey girl all the way, I HATE STEAK! YUK, people here are not going to like me after reading this. LOL LOL OH well, it's my diary right? LOL LOL

Not much to report today, I ate good yesterday, had some extra cheese for snack last night, mmmmmm Chipolte Jack, it was yummy! I didn't do Power class last night, instead I took 1 hour of Group Centergy, I needed it for flexibility and strength training, it was good! I plan on going to Group Groove tonight and maybe do some free weights, if I can talk some of the local gym buff dudes to help me out on some. LOL We will see! My girlfriend just moved back to OK about a month ago, so her and I are doing lunch today. I'm very excited. I think she wants Mexican food, so it will be Chicken fajitas for this girl. MMMMMM Well that's it, nothing crazy, just a regular day, but I'll take it. Have a good one everybody!

Excellent idea about the free weights Kimmie, that would be a big change up. Most people are very nice when you approach them for help, and you being so sweet and friendly I'm sure they'll be falling over themselves to help a girl out. I can't wait to get back to the weights in August (gym membership in hold til then).

What ended up happening with the friend and the anniversary weekend? Are they staying in town or not going at all or what?
