Miss Ladybugs Diary

Hey Beth!! No I haven't spun that damn thing yet, what am I waiting for??? Who knows, maybe tonight I'll have time. :)

I haven't posted today, because I have absolutely nothing to report. Everything is pretty much the exact same as yesterday, no movement on the scale but what's new there. And well I'll be doing group power and group groove tonight, so what's new there. LOL LOL I'm going to PUT YOU ALL TO SLEEP today by reading my post. I must be the MOST BORING person on this forum. LMAO!!! Can my life be any more routine right now?? CURVES, CITA, CYM, BETH, SARA, CINDER, LENA, KELLY where ever you are! COME GET ME and let's all take a cruise to the bahama's or something. But I have to be back by next weekend for my anniversary trip. :rotflmao:

Wrong wrong wrong. You're not boring, but you remind me of where I was at when I started on here, trying so hard and wondering why the scale would not freakin' move. Plateaus stink, but I think I've learned a lot about them from being on here (mind you I've only lost about 1 pound since "leaving" my plateau). Kim, if the scale still doesn't move, I would honestly take a week off from everything and just chill. Eat at maintenance every day for that week and then come up with a different exercise plan for the next few weeks. No classes or machines you've been using. I know you love your classes, but they might be defeating the purpose. I bet if you took a 3 week break from them they'd start working again. I would switch things up for 2 or 3 weeks by doing HIIT cardio sessions (rather than steady state) and do 2 or 3 sessions of heavy weights per week (heavy enough where you can only do at most 2 sets of 10 reps). I know you're very devoted and you feel guilty when you eat more and don't work out, but you might need to relax even more than you've been doing this past week to re-start things again. I would say there are many people who just need to cut more calories and work out harder to bypass their plateaus, but that's definitely not the case with you. So I'm convinced the opposite approach would eventually work for you.

Yeah, your probably right, I do need to change something that's for sure!. It will be so hard not working out for me, I feel so good when I do and really feel dumpy when I don't. I'm going to look into new things at my gym and see if they are doing anything I haven't tried yet. Maybe trying a different type of cardio will work like Kick Boxing, I keep wanting to try that class, but always seem to bypass it. You know I'll be out half of next week, I won't be exercising at that time, let's see if that does anything. I'm willing to try. It's just going to be super hard!

I have to chime in here on the break idea....I was not on board with that idea either, but with out trip away and feeling sicky....no workout...I actually think I did better and am down to my ticker weight again! I needed that break in all calories and working out. Just step away from the gym....eat at maintenance, enjoy your anniversary trip and relax, have fun, rest, restore and come back ready to jump into again! Really...take the week off and see what happens....its only one week. :)

oooooohhh **Kim shudders at the thought of time off of gym****** that is going to be hard, and the eating part even worse, I feel guilty if I eat higher calories, and DON'T workout, so I really have to set my mind to this, I will try or at least right now, I'm certainly going to think about it, I PROMISE!!

I love this forum! Blancita and Beth gave great advice, I'm betting that you need a nice break as well. I hope you do take a rest Kim! lol I would love to scoop you up and go on a Bahamanian cruise with all of you!!! I hope you enjoy every moment of your anniversay vacation and spoil yourself and your man...I am curious about your spin-the-wheel prize as well ;) Have a nice night woman!

Umm Kim, how long has it been since you've taken a full week off from all structured exercise? Even if you weren't in weight loss mode and just maintaining, this is kinda important. BTW, thanks for the "tropical bird" comment in my diary.

edited to add: along with the rest, please do think about Blancita and Beth's suggesstions about eating at maint. calories during that break....I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but such a "diet/exercise" break at least every 8 weeks is crucial IMO..are you thinking about it...are ya....are ya? LOL

I haven't spun yet, I'm so bad, I keep running in and taking my classes then heading out the door and not thinking about it, I really need to spin it the next time I go, I hope I hit a good spot on the wheel, wish me luck!

Oh CYM, You know I'll do it!! I'm going to go off the charts and not excercise for a week, and just eat good, but not freak about it. I'll start next week.

YOUR MY VBF girl, don't forget it!! I'm just in a plateau phase and there isn't anything I can do about it except make a change. Which I promise you guys I will!! I didn't go to the gym last night like I planned and I will be busy all weekend, so won't be able to go then either. That will be 3 days without gym time, I will add in Mon, Tue, Wed of next week and see if that does anything to spark up my system again. I sure hope so. If not, at least I'll still have excellent cardio!! HAHAHHAHA

Good for you, Kim!

I believe attitude is so much a part of this....and I found that the "mental rest" from my routine was the most important part at this stage of my game, so to speak. There was a definite recharging of my energy and spirit during my break that I would not have believed possible and it has made such an incredible difference in how I am feeling and doing now.

When I said, rest, relax and restore...I meant that as much emotionally as physical.

*keeping my fingers crossed for ya on that spin* ;)

Ohh I'm excited to see what happens after your rest. I totally think it's going to be a good thing. I'm wishing you luck on the spin as well ;)

Hi Kim!

I can't believe you'd honestly think you're the most boring person on the forum - you're so funny! I had to crack up at that

You're always there with the kindest word when we need it. You've rooted for everyone else with their constant weight loss while you've been at a plateau - that takes a lot of kindnes and sweetness. There's nothing boring about that! Plus you're providing an inspiration to anyone that plateaus for as long as you have. :) :)

Speaking of which..echoing the sentiments of earlier commenters, yes, I do think a little break might well do the trick. I'm like you - once I get into the groove of exercise it's hard to get out of it, partly because I'm afraid I won't get back in. But, as cym and Blancita said, it's essential to take a break (this applies to both of us) :)

I'm really rooting for you, and I really hope you can take the time off to just chill out.. So.. when does your time off begin?

You are totally not boring chicky!!! You I think have some of the most excitement on here - the way you post and care...I totally need a break/vacation - maybe one year I can actually afford to do soemtign or go some where...

:D:D:DIm sorry I havent been by in a bit:) Im abt to rep ya!!! OOppss I cabt give out rep - appearantly ive given out to much in the last 24 hrs!!! Stupid - lol

Morning Rho, I'm going to finish up my break this week!! I don't plan on doing anything, plus I'm leaving Thursday for my anniversary mini vacation, I'm just going to relax. Thanks so much for your sweet words, I just love you guys!!

Cinder, Your so fricken funny!! LOL LOL I love ya girl!! Thanks for the thought of the REP it's so appreciated! I'm going to take a break this week from the gym, but I'm still stopping by the gym today to book an appointment with a trainer for next week, so I can work out a good weight program. I'm going to try something new. HEHEHHEHE thanks again!!
Kim

Well, I didn't work out the last three days which is fine! And I don't plan on working out this week either, I do have a lot of yard work and housework to do before I leave on Thursday for my mini anniversary vacation. I will be stopping by my gym to book and appointment with a personal trainer to come up with a new weight training program for myself. And I need to drop off a bridal shower gift for one of my girlfriends who's getting married this weekend. She is group instructor, so sweet!! I started on Sunday, so I'm feeling really crampy and bloated, but what's new! I did get on the scale just for the kicks of it and it's still sitting at the exact same spot. I'm not feeling hungry today, so I'll just drink a lot of fluids and keep up with that. I really want to lose 2 pounds by the end of this week so I feel better on my vacation, maybe even picture time!! WHOO HOO!! thank goodness aunt flo showed up now as I'll be done with her by Wed, YES!! I was hoping she wouldn't show up when I went on vacation, that would SUCK! Well, I need to get busy, I have a lot of work to do before my vacation starts. Later everyone!
Kim

Afternoon Kim! Glad you're some rest, and really glad for youthat you are getting TOM over with before your trip...it's so nice when nature cooperates with our plans LOL. Can't wait to hear how it goes with your PT session.

:jump:

This is going to kickstart your loss again!!!! So happy for you!!!:D Yes, I am very much bloated and crampy, I had to take MIDOL yesterday :p Feel better soon, thanks for the support!

Hello Kim,

I'm ever so happy you're getting some rest. I'm doing the same and it's so great. I didn't realise I was becoming run-down but there is such a difference in how I feel, and in my energy levels, so yay!

I'm glad your TOM's over. Good luck with your new personal training session. I'm sure that will do the trick, and force your body into weight loss mode again.

Enjoy your day Kim!

Hello! just wanted to pop in and say Hi! I can barely keep my eyes open, I am so tired, but wanted to get in here!! So have a great rest of the day!!:)
