Miss Ladybugs Diary

Ooh have a beautiful weekend Kim :hug2: I hope you're enjoying your deserved night off from the gym and that you do visit the winery tomorrow. I'm happy you were able to have a little bit more at dinner last night ;) I'm so happy I'm eating more lately as well.

I hope you are able to really benefit from the ideas you're planning to use here and in a painless way. You certainly deserve to and it's great that you're getting some help with this issue from other people who've been along the same road. This forum is so great for that, isn't it?

I hope your weekend is lots of fun too. :)

Hey Kim. Sounds like your working hard in the gym. I know what you mean about needing a rest day. You deserve it. Hope you make it up to the winery, and have a glass or a sip for me :)

Hey you - Im glad you are going to try to up your cals and see what happens:):):)Thanx for droppin by it was nice to see ya :D:D:D

How was the winery? Sounds like a fun outing...keeping my fingers crossed for ya that a slight cal bump will kick your scale into action...no doubt it will help with your energy level if you're starting to feel more tired than normal...I had to increase my own cals last week cause of the "too tired thing"...but mine was less fun 'cause it was just by adding more meat.

Your right Feli, people here have some great ideas and suggestions on what to try, we are truly lucky to have one another!! I'm trying and we will see what happens next.

Hey Sam! Thanks for stopping by!! I didn't get to the winery, I had way to much yardwork to handle this weekend, but I did stop by the local liquor store and bought me a nice bottle of California Merlot. mmmmm I had a sip for you and about everyone else here. HEHEHEH no, really I only had a glass, that's about my limit when it's hot outside and I'm tired. LOL Enjoy your day!

Hey Cinder!!! Yep, I'm trying up those calories, at this point anything is worth a try in my book. I just hope it works

Hey there Girlfriend!! I didn't get to the winery this weekend, to many plants/flowers to repot, but I'm looking at getting by one maybe in two weeks. I have so much to do the next few weekends, I'm going to be swamped. I have a Bridal Shower next Saturday and then my hubby told me that we are going to the Red Hawks (baseball) semi Pro team here, to watch them on Sunday as his boss is up for some award, so like I said ALWAYS something going on. Good to see you stop by, always love your encouraging words!!

Hi Kim! Well you are certainly going to be busy for the rest of this month, I hope that you're doing well though and having a good time through all of it! :hug2:

How are you feeling on the extra calories? How many have you decided to go with? I'm sure this will work, but be patient as it may take a little bit of time to kick in.

Nothing new on the scales this morning, and trust me I ate like a pig the last two days. Uggg, well I'm going to try up something new at the gym and see if that works at all. I'm going to try Power twice a week and less of the cardio classes, maybe that will shake things up a bit. I also heard a fitness trainer on tv talk about how he got Brittany Spears into shape back 5 years ago, he said she was doing 1,000 sit ups a DAY! I think I might be able to fit in 200, but that's about it!! I'm going to try and do at least 100-200 sit ups (crunches) each night before bed and see if that does anything in the middle section. I feel good, I know I'm shrinking, so I just need to get the scales moving again. I'm going to take my time, after all I've only been at this for about 3 1/2 months now, so not to bad so far!. I bought some new blinds and put them up in my bedroom and then my hubby got me a new patio set for the side deck. YEAH!! The one we had on that deck was, ummm WELL OLD! it was time for a new something up there. HAHAH He got swivel chairs this time, YES it's much nicer to move around in. I'm very pleased. Well after all the HOOPLA over my anniversary and booking that cabin, I actually ended up booking a Bed & Breakfast Cottage of all things. It is so romantic and I've booked it for Aug 2,3 & 4th, so I may not be on much during that time frame, so I'm letting you all know a head of time. It's really neat I guess the couple that runs this place they are retired college professors and well I guess the husband was a chef at one time. OH YEAH!! they said they bring complimentary dessert and champagne to the cottage every evening and then a huge breakfast is served out on the Main house deck or they can bring that to your cottage also. I'm thinking a PAMPERED weekend is in store for us, YEAH! I'm ready to leave today!! LOL LOL Well, I had a small bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios this morning with 1C 1% milk. I made a very low calorie Peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch. and I'm going to go crazy on the water today. I thought that I would try the kick boxing class tonight, I still have not done that yet, I'm really excited to try something new. OH and I better spin that wheel tonight also before they give up on me. Hope you all have a great day today!! I'll stop by diary's as I can. Chow!

Cita, I'm doing about 2000 calories, that's about 400 more than my normal. However yesterday I may have went as high as 2200. I felt like a bloated pig to be honest, I do better when I eat a little less, but it did give me a we bit more energy. I'm going to buy some power bars and protein shakes to keep at the office, I think that might help me a little too. Only time will tell.

Kim,

Thank you so much for all the wonderful kind comments you left for me, I appreciate it very much :). Good luck with increasing those calories and the scale should start moving in no time.

I like the idea of the protein shakes, though I haven't been having mine lately. If you have a GNC nearby, they have a really good strawberry flavor in their brand (in a red plastic bag). How long will you keep this higher calorie thing up? I would guess that the scale may stay the same while you're doing the higher calorie thing, but the second you go lower again (in a few weeks?) you will immediately resume losing again. Note that the scale will probably stay the same, yet the good part is that you get to eat way more and consequently have more energy for your Group Groove (that name cracks me up).

Yeah, I don't know, should I try to eat less today?? Or wait a few more days?? I know Group Groove. HEY, we all get our groove on!! YEAH!

How long have you done the 2000 (with the one 2200 day)? And remind me what you were eating before?

I've been doing the 2000 for maybe three days now, before I was doing roughly 1600 calories a day. I would eat a small bowl of cereal in the morning, and well it all depends on the afternoon, but usually a smart one, or slim fast, or a home made sandwich of some sort, then I would eat fruit/veggie for snack in the afternoon and maybe some rice cakes too, which are only 90 calories per bag. For dinner, it all depends, but usually Salad, or a tortilla with some 1oz of cheese, tomato, lettuce, black beans. Or Grilled Chicken breasts and veggies. It all depends on my moods, but usually only 500-600calories for dinner

So about 300 breakfast
snacks 150-200
lunch: 300
dinner: 600-700
maybe a night snack of something light, or some peanuts

It all comes to roughly 1600 calories give or take.

Hmmm, I wonder how long its best to do your maintenance break? I did mine for about 1 or 2 months, which is a bit long I would say but I had been trying to lose weight for about 1 full year at that point and had plateaued for at least 2 months.

Maybe you can post in the Harsh Truth section for some advice? If you do, let them know how long you've been eating around 1600, your typical exercise in a week, and how long you've maintained the same weight (i.e. how long have you been in plateausville).

If you dont feel like posting in there, my guess would be maybe wait till you do one whole week on 2000, then start adding in 2 low days for another few weeks?

Yeah, I'm going to eat a little higher this week and just change up my gym routine and see if that starts anything up for me. I'm still up for this challenge. Do we start today?? And is it to see how much we can lose in that timeframe?

Hi, Kim. Too bad I don't feel like a bloated pig at 2200 calories, LOL. My limit seems to be around 4,000 calories! Have a great week! And thanks again for your sweet comments.

Hey there...I'm new to the forum, but was checking out your diary and wanted to give my .2 cents.

...Double check the carb and sugar count in those PowerBars before you buy them. I used to run alot .. 40-45 miles a week and I ate those alot b/c I needed the extra carbs to help me do extra mileage. I think they might have more carbs & sugar than what you are looking for so just be sure before you spend the money on them.

Kristy
