Good Morning!

That's so cool that you're so dedicated to your workout. You seem to really enjoy the exercise, and that is something I'm trying to learn to do. haha you really did have a serious deficit yesterday! Also I love that your son goes to the gym with you! My sister always exercises with me whenever we're together and it makes it so much more fun. It's just nice to walk into the gym with someone and share a common goal and then put in the work to accomplish it together, it's really motivating. Well have a beautiful day. :)
Luke, it is quite nice that he decides to hang out with me "old mom" hahaha I appreciate him and he motivates me. I wish everyone here could enjoy this groove class, it's really the only thing that keeps me going somedays. Have a good one and thanks again for stopping by!!

You'll get up in going in no time, I know you will, and I'll be checking on you daily to make sure of that. Wish you were closer, I would take you to the gym with me, and they offer free daycare!! YES!

My goodness, you must be really strong! I couldn't function normally with only 400 calories, much less do an actual workout! That would definitely kill me! Good on you though, and I'm sure your body appreciated the Chinese afterwards..

Rho, I hope the body does me good this week, I really don't think I could workout anymore during the week then I already do, it better shape up and fast, before I go nuts!! HAHAHA Just kidding, I have a lot of patience, I'll just throw the scale outside or something, you know RELEASE that extra energy. Thanks for stopping in again!!

Hey! Well at least your lower cals prepared you for chinese! LOL, man I love chinese, it's just so bad for you! Well, especially the buffet kind ;)

Anyways, I hope that even on busy days you will try and find a way to get something in you, it's not good to eat so little. I know it's not a normal thing so that's good :D You could always bring some protein powder to work and you can have that as a quick snack, that's what I do (I need more protein anyways).

Thanks Risty!! Yeah, I've been meaning to stop in the store and pick up some protein powders, or maybe some slim fast shakes, I love those too. Usually I keep some carrots around or an apple on my desk, but not that day. I kept everything in the refridge in the kitchen and never had time to get back there. I will certainly not do that again, and I too love Chinese, it's been awhile since I had some, last time I went for chinese I ate nothing but steamed veggies, GAS all day long. HAHAHA the price we pay for good nutrition right.
 
Okay, really quick before i head to the gym for Groove. I had a small bowl of cereal this morning with 1% milk 1cup, then my progesso soup, chicken vegt for lunch, mmmm it was tasty and only 200 calories, and then water, water, water and some animal crackers for snack. I'll go home after gym and eat some chicken breast, grilled, brocolli, cauliflower and some strawberries, and probably a few slices of pepper jack cheese. to drink glass of red wine. I will hit my normal 1500 calories, I'll make sure of that
 
I went to Groove class last night, I'm just beat! I didn't end up at my girlfriends house, instead I hung out with my honey and watched a little TV before bed. I was exhausted, don't know why. I ate good last night, and the strawberries were yummy!! I ate them right out of the basket without washing them. ooooooohhhhhh naughty Kim. Oh well, isn't there this 10 second rule if something drops on your floor. HAHAHAHAH that's just gross. HAHAHAHA anyhow, I got up this morning and I wasn't going to the gym tonight, I need a day off. But, my son said, "Mom, we are going to the gym tonight" ugggg, he's my little pusher! SO, I guess I'll go, so I won't let him down. Tonight is Group Power, that weights/music class that kicked my butt last week, guess I'll do that again, I really need the weights training more than I have been lately, so it's a good thing. I brought some chicken, veggie soup to work and some pretzels and some carrots. So I should have a very balanced lunch and snacks today. I'm going to stop by the store and pick me up some slim fast shakes, I love those and they are packed full of vitamins, I just need something to shake up my normal routine of meals at work. Well, I'm off to get some things done. I hope everyone has a good day today!!

Oh, good for you for having a little motivator like that!! Very Cool :D

Oh, and about the strawberry thing - I used to do that...then, I started filling (a clean) sink with water, and dropping the strawberries in instead of just "rinsing them in a colander" OH MAN was I amazed at how much dirt was on strawberries - i generally have to rinse them at least twice now after the initial soak. It was shocking to see how dirty they are! LOL!

Thanks Beth!! I'm hoping the class gets easier, my body is in shock. HAHAHA:D
 
Later this evening while I was still in town, my hubby was called in for a quick football meeting, it just so happens he was right around the corner from me, so he so graciously asked me to dinner and I accepted. He took me to this place called "Swadley's" BBQ, It's the best, but I have a hard time eating at those places because I don't eat red meat. Well, I went for the smoked chicken breast, and Oh MY GOSH it was the bomb as my son would say. :eek: Very low cal. You get two sides and I chose Green beans and mashed potatoes, which I'm happy to say I left on the plate, didn't want those extra calories, but the BEANS MMMM, MMM they were so flavorful and good. I did splurge on two pieces of Texas toast, but that was the ONLY bad thing I ate. I also drank water with lemon, so I did really good, but it's strange that was a few hours ago and right now I have a bit of a stomach ache, weird. My husband said it's all the good food I'm eating. LOL LOL He got the shredded brisket sandwich and fried okra, my son got the ribs and home fries. You all know I was dying to eat those fried foods, but I didn't and it's been a very long time since I've eaten anything fried, I honestly can't remember, so I know it's been months. Well, I was excited about doing well for dinner, so I had to post it. I'm going to bed now, I'm exhausted and tomorrow is TGIF, OH YEAH!! I love Friday's as I have weekends off. YES!!!! Night everyone!

Hi Kim; I just read the first 3 and the last 3 pages of your journal and the first thing I have to tell you is...I have 18 year old twin boys! We are instantly bonded on that one. I really enjoyed reading your commitment to exercise and eating healthy, including your leaving mashed potatoes on the plate! With your determination and consistency...the sky's the limit. One day at a time, you're going to make it all the way.
