Miss Ladybugs Diary

Oh Kim! I'm so happy you enjoyed yourself! You deserved it :) That arcade sounds great and so did the rest of your trip! :hug2: Have fun at groove tonight!

Your trip sounds wonderful...I don't know which sounds better the mall (shoes!!!!) or the Rain Forest Cafe (I'm a sucker for theme restaurants). Glad you had such a good time.

Hey thanks everyone stopping by, I know it takes so much time to get through everyones diary's, I got through maybe 4 yesterday, I'm swamped at work, so I'll try to cruise into another 4-5 today if at all possible. It's so nice to talk about things and people know what or who your referring to, like the Rain Forest Cafe', and Amy Winehouse (RHO), yeah her voice is so soulful, I just love her! Groove class was awesome, but I think I over did it a little with my 4 mile run before class, by the end of Groove I was dragging butt. HAHAHA, tonight is Group Centergy, so I will probably ride the bike 7-8 miles then take that class, it's not so high impact like Groove so I will be fine! I think it's getting close again to that time of the month, I'm getting thoes awful cravings damn it and I'm feeling a bit bloated, but hey at least I'm right on time as always. LOL I put on a pair of pants I bought about 3 years ago this morning, I never wore them, because I washed them once and they shrunk so bad I couldn't get them buttoned up, but today, HOLY COW they went right on with no problem, I wonder what size they shrunk down too?? I see it in the mirror now and old shorts are fitting really good, so some how I'm still losing inches, I haven't stepped on the scale since last week, but remember I've been on that lovely plateau for a few weeks as well, so I'm actually a little adamit about getting on there and seeing no move once again, so why bother doing that to myself, I'll wait and as my clothes go down in size, I'll know I'm losing and who cares what the scale says right?? It's nice to find clothes in your closet, you've been wanting to wear for so long and can finally do it, YES!!! I brought some oatmeal to work and another PB&J, light on the pbutter. I have a cucumber and orange for snack later and of course WATER, WATER, WATER. Tonight, I think I'll do some veggie wraps and cheese, mmmm I would love one of those right now. Just thank goodness I'm not craving chocolate, that's a PLUS!! Well, I better get going and get busy, lots to read and lots of work to do today. I think my hubby and I are meeting friends tomorrow after work for dinner, I'm hoping for a Shoguns or some Japanese food, I've been craving soushi for weeks. mmmm Later Gators! PS, I'm on SLOT #5 on my belt now, remember when I started I could barely get it in slot #1 without being tight. YES!!

Hi Kim. That is such a great feeling when clothes that didn't fit start to fit again, and then even start getting loose. Congratulations!

Mmmmmmh, Shogun's!!! You rock, you're losing fat and gaining muscle--you can't be on a plateau, exactly, if you're getting smaller, can you? Keep at it!!!

Well I mean I have stopped losing the weight on the scale, instead it just seems to be inches, wouldn't that be a plateau too?? Oh hell, I don't know, I just hope soon my scale goes down a little. Hey I figure if friggen Valerie Bertanelli can lose 20 pounds on Jenny Craig in 12 weeks, than CRAP, shouldn't we be able to?? I guess she's not gaining muscle, maybe just losing fat. LOL LOL Thanks everyone for your encouraging words, sorry I haven't been by today, I had a really BUSY, BUSY work day. I feel another one coming on tomorrow. UGGG! I'll try to get through some later!! Sorry everybody!
Kim

Ugh I hate celebrity weight loss stories. It's not fair at all, and I'm doubtful she's losing as much as Jenny Craig wants to advertise that she is. Congrats on the inches lost AGAIN! You are far better inspiration than any of the media stories. YUM Sushi, I don't think I've had any in literally a year and my town is littered with fabulous sushi houses. You have been doing a fabulous job with your diet Kim, so healthy! Have a lovely night :)

Oh well done Kim,

You're progressing nicely, what with the inch loss and the belt buckles..

Celebrities, yuck.. As far as I'm concerned they've got trainers and cooks and a proper support network to keep them in shape, not to mention the prospect of more money (slimmer people tend to be more successful), so we deserve praise for doing all they're doing WITHOUT the extensive support they get.

I like your attitude during your weight loss plateau. You're losing inches, and that's still the greatest indicator of fat loss, so you know you're on the right track.

Have a lovely day Kim :)

Good morning you - I hope you have a less busy work day :):):) Have a god one and how many miles have you racked up for that challenege ???

Don't get discouraged. Your doing terrific! Inches lost are still good, still a loss of some sort. I bet your looking great. Your body will thank you for all the exercise your putting it thru, at least that is what I keep telling myself, LOL. I keep seeing that commercial with Val Bertinelli and can't believe how much weight she has lost, pretty quickly it seems. I'm sure she has some great perks that average joes/joans like us do not, so we have to remember that. Keep up the good work Kim, I can't wait for you to post some progress pics when you feel ready. I will do the same but, prob not for a couple more months.

Have a great rest of the day, don't work too hard :)

Kim, I just want to get on a plane, fly to your house, confiscate your scale and return home!:) You are doing terrific, wonderful, outstanding, fabulous, -pick your favorite description because they all apply. Plateau = standing still, no movement in any direction, stall. You are getting smaller, decreasing in inches, having movement in a positive direction.

You crack me up!! Your welcome by anytime!! Thanks for the sweet descriptive words. I know I'm losing and I'm very, very happy about that, thus the reason I have decided for a little while to forget about the scale all together and focus on my workouts and getting into other items even smaller hanging in my closet, I know I will have won the battle, once I'm able to fit back into my old size 8 stuff, now that would be a HUGE accomplishment for me, regardless of how much the scales say at that time, I won't care a bit!! I'm getting closer every month and I'm so very pleased with the stuff I'm wearing now, again I'm wearing another blouse today that used to gather around the buttons in the front and have little poking holes so you could catch a glimpse of my stomach and breast if you got lucky. HAHAHHA However, today I didn't even have to unbutton the blouse to put it on, I simply slipped it up over my head and wella, NO Pooch or gathering at all, it's hanging on me very nicely, I'm happy about that and even in the sleeve area it's loose, when before it was tight on my upper arms, that's enough for me to know it's working and I'm doing fine. NOW... if I can just get someone to snap some damn pictures of me so I can share them with everyone I will be set. Nothing to my knowledge going on this weekend, so MAYBE I can talk my hubby into taking some snap shots for me, I'll try!! Thanks again CYM, your so sweet!
Kim

Yes, PLEASE have hubby take pics!! You know how we all love to see pics on this forum!

I agree that Valerie Bertanelli is getting way more support than just her paid-for Jenny Craig meals. The little tart! Surely JC is paying for a daily personal trainer and frankly, she will be under contract to get to a certain weight, the money being a huge motivating factor that unfortunately none of us "regular" folks get. And in the end she'll get lipo as well before she struts her new weight loss achievements.

Fitting into old clothes, no matter the weight, is better proof of weightloss than any scale. I'll be on the next flight with Cym to pick up that scale. Which I will then use and torture myself on with daily weigh-ins.

I agree that fitting into old clothes is a great feeling. It is one of the things that I was really looking forward to when I started this. I try my old clothes on all the time and each week I do, it seems like something new fits or fits better. It's a real rush for me because I honestly never thought I was going to be able to fit into those clothes again, and here I am wearing them...

I also just want to say I think it is better to go longer without weighing yourself. I haven't weighed myself in 5 weeks. I have been working out and eating right the whole time too. It is so tempting but, I made a commitment with myself that I wouldn't weigh or measure myself unless my trainer is doing it. He likes it that way too. The scale can be so discouraging and tricky, you can't let it get you down. So, it is rarely a part of my life, and that works for me. I know I've lost inches and a lot my clothes fit. When I do get weighed in next week, I honestly have no idea what the scale is going to say...

-Sam:)
