Good to see you, kittykat! Thanks for the welcome back, gang!
Yes, I'm vegetarian, Em, though obviously not vegan! I used to think I should not eat more than one egg a day, Petal - I think I was concerned about cholesterol? But I've seen so many people here writing that they had two eggs for breakfast etc, that I felt relaxed enough to have two eggs at two different meals - that's how I got to five in 36 hours!

Yes, I'm pleased about maintaining, Cate - wavering up and down within a two-pound range, but either way below the line set last November!
Today I'm making the Odlum's coffee cake - not sure if I can get the requisite mascarpone cheese, but that's tomorrow's problem, because I'm cooking the cake today, and serving it tomorrow (it'll still be fresh enough, won't it? Or should I leave the cooking to tomorrow morning? Hmmm...
This cake-making is both to thank my hosts (for two days of my absence) by asking them to afternoon tea, and to be part of the Last Hurrah (of eating "normally") before the second dive into deliberate weight loss.
The Last Hurrah runs counter to the virtuous ethos of this site, which holds that there's
no time like the present to start any new eating plan, and that anything that's going to be eschewed, like sugar, butter and flour, had better be eschewed at once. But on the other hand - this site also has the
wonderful, in fact
absolutely vital understanding that we are all different, and so... I'm having the Last Hurrah, before the Next Big Drive.

I'm thinking that I will define my goals and make a start on or around 11th, to have had three clear months of stasis, of seeing that I can maintain at this (too high) weight, and of working on balance, skin care etc.
Balance, by the way, is slightly better, as measured by how I do with the standing on one leg parts of tai chi - I am wobbling less, and less jerky.
