Well, looks like I'm back to where I started.
I'm doing something different this past week and oddly enough it seems to be working. Hopefully it will pay off. I've not exercised a single minute this past week. I've kept my diet the same. I'm hoping to start back exercising this next week and we'll see if it fires back up my weight loss.

I hope your plan works. Sometimes it's good to take an exercise break.

Glad you had a good birthday. You certainly deserved to treat yourself. Was the cola diet or regular? I suspect if it was regular, you'd enjoy a diet soda better. The regular was probably too sweet. :D

Scalena better get her act together. That's all I've gotta say. :smash:

Oh, 2 more months until football season begins! :hurray:

It certainly doesn't seem to be hurting any. I haven't gained anything but yet I haven't lost either.
The Coke I had was regular. It was a good thing that it tasted bad because I don't want to get hooked on those things again. I'm perfectly fine drinking water all the time now.

I can't wait for football season! You might have heard, UGA VI died about a week ago :( They'll have a ceremony at the first game this year for the new dog. We might try to get some tickets for that game.

I got your post card this morning! Thank you. I thought the stamp was interesting. Looks like a movie poster. Cool!

Aww...poor Uga VI. He'll be chasing Vols in doggie heaven. :D

In addition to the other things, you might want to DO MORE WEIGHTS. :reddevil: At this point in your weight loss, you really do need to do them b/c otherwise you're just going to lose a bunch of muscle (if you haven't already) and lower your metabolism even further. I think now you have to choose between what's worse--going to the gym (or doing more weights at home) or sitting at a plateau for ages.

Yeah, I thought those stamps were weird--very different from the usual ones. I thought you'd like it. Glad you did. :)

Sorry I haven't been around. Going thru some things right now. Just seems like it's one thing after another sometimes. I'm not really doing anything on the diet front. I've stopped counting calories and haven't exercised in I don't know when. I haven't gained back any weight though so I'm ok for now. I guess my new habits that I'm in are keeping me maintained which is really a good sign so I'll be able to not go back to what I used to be. My legs have become more of a problem. I have to sit down quite often. Fairly painful and I don't feel like doing much of anything when that happens. My surgery has finally been approved and I'm scheduled for Sept 8th for my first one. I'll have to have 3 in all. It should cure my problems though and I should be pain free *knocks on wood*
Today I went to the dentist and I have a problem where one of my wisdom teeth was removed. So now I have to have a procedure done on that this coming monday.(at least the hyginest commented on how good I looked since last time she saw me) My daughter just had surgery yesterday on her lip for something I can't even pronounce. She is fine though and will get her 6 stitches out next week.

Reason I thought about getting on here today. It's been one year this past friday since I signed up on this site and today is one year since I started tracking my weightloss here. This is the longest I have ever stuck with any weightloss and the most I ever have been able to lose. Thanks to everyone on this site for helping me get where I am today. Even though I might be MIA some I'll still be around.

I was wondering where you were. I'm glad that you're still alive and kicking--even if you have to sit down after a bit of ass-kicking. :D

That's good news that your surgery has finally been approved. Clearly it is not for cosmetic reasons, but is causing you a lot of pain. It's about time the insurance company finally pulled their head out of their ass. :)

Glad your daughter's surgery went well.

Taking a break from dieting and maintaining for awhile is probably a good idea. Congrats on your one year anniversary. You've come a long way, baby. :)

Still hovering in the 232 lb range. I ate like a hog this past weekend and didn't gain anything so I think I am maintaining well. I promise I've not fallen off the wagon but I'm just not whipping the horses either :biggrinjester:

I shall return!:coolgleamA:

Just a quick update, I'm still alive !:sifone:
I had my first surgery today on my left leg.... ugh!
I wouldn't suggest anyone do this just for the hell of it. It was alot more detailed than I thought it was going to be. I have possibly 2 dozen incisions on my leg and about 2 liters of liquid numbing medicing pumped into my leg. It's like twice the size of my right leg and wrapped up like a mummy.
Before thy wrapped it though I could tell a dramatic change in apearance though. Hard to say how it'll feel til the swelling goes away. Hopefully it'll feel good and I can get back to exercising after I finish the right leg. Go back next monday and then a week from wed for the final procedure. I didn't weight since last friday but if I had to guess 'd say I'm up a couple of pounds. I ate out of nervousness some. I know, beat me with a wet noodle. Anyways, I'd better go walk some. I'm supposed to get up and walk around a good bit.

Take care gang

Paul

Hey Paul glad you're all right!

Relax: deep breathes. Everything is going to be fine. Focus on positivity, and remember to eat according to your needs, not out of nervousness :) Smile! Good luck on your next surgery, and keep up with your goals!

Glad the surgery went well. Seems like the recovery is always the worst part. :ack2: Best wishes for the next two surgeries. Then it'll all be done and you'll have some sexy legs to flash us women. :D

Don't forget your football picks this week. You're still ahead of me. :cuss:

:D

Still kickin. Well maybe not kickin. Pretty sore. Had my final surgery this past wednesday. All done. Everything went well. They checked and no blood clots so I should be good to go. My left leg feels really good. For the most part it's healed. I can tell a change in the circulation in it after the closure procedures in it. I used to think it ached cause I was fat... wrong! Once I'm 100% healed I should be able to get back into some exercise. I've got to go for a follow up on the 1st and I may have to go back for one more before I'm released for active duty. Got a few gnarly lookin scars but I'm gonna tell people a shark bite me:smilielol5:
Hopefully they'll fade a bit in time but they look better than what was there. I'm sure they will be taking some "after" photos of my legs once they've healed. I'm gonna ask for a copy of the before and after, if I get it I'll share. So lose weight! So you don't get legs like I had

Gained another pound this month. I'm not worrying about it though. What little weight I've gained the past few months is really nothing to what I've lost. +3 lbs in 3 months is not anything to get worked up over. Once I get back to my old routine I feel like I'll be able to start dropping again because surely my body has adjusted to the non-activety.

I shall return!

Glad to hear the surgeries went well! :hurray:

I'm sure that since you've been maintaining for quite awhile, once you start trying to lose again, you'll drop the lbs pretty easily. :)

Don't know if you saw what I posted on our yahoo picks site, but that was sooooo awesome about USC losing last night. I only caught the last part of the 4thQ, but that was really enjoyable to watch. Well, UGA should rise to at least #2 in the polls now. :)
