Hi everyone

Well I'm back! Today is my Day 25, I now have a bit of a head cold, plus with lack of sleep am feeling a bit low, and am still in bed trying to recuperate.

I finally finished counting up all my KJs, fat, protein, carbs and fibre - while I was away!
All in all, I did well food wise, stayed on target. I must admit though, I was often hungry but the options were very high fat, so I made myself go without, drank coffee and heaps and heaps of water.

That should help me lose weight - 30% extra - maybe, hehe. Its Sunday here and my next "official" weigh in will be Wednesday, so we'll see.

Probably won't bother trying to exercise until tomorrow - got to catch up on sleep and start to feel a bit better, bit more normal.

I had 2 nights without sleep while away - the 1st night kept awake by very noisy dogs and roosters... yes roosters ALL night! Just as well I don't have a gun! Then my second night - had to stay awake, get to the airport around midnight and catch 2.40am flight back - so am still a bit out of sorts!
 
that's good u stuck with it on the road! so wednesday is the next day for u, i'm on there tomorrow. well just stick with it today dont get on the scale early i think we went through that before and it didnt work out but i dont know do whatever u are doing cause is sounds like its working!

Sorry to admit this but I think I was sulking yesterday. My Wednesday weigh in - showed that I only lost 300g = 0.7 of a pound!!!!!!!!!

Pitiful, but never mind, its only a number - right!!!! On the good side - After 4 weeks - I have lost 7cm around my waist - that's almost 3 inches - and all up I've lost 6.9kg = 15.2 pounds.

Also, I am REALLY trying to comfort myself with this thought..... I was standing at my sink at 8am on the Wednesday morning - drinking water - as is my routine now... then I thought - oh hang on - so far I've had 4 glass of water, 1 herbal tea and my protein shake! Hmmm, I'm standing on the scales in 1/2 hour....?????

I get to the chemist to weigh in, running late for work, and then I'm like duuuhhhh I think I need to go to the toilet... I said so to the consultant there - she gave me this kind of don't make me laugh / I feel sorry for you look - and so I sheepishly just stood on the scales.... hehe

Anyway, no time for excuses and pity parties..... I am going to keep at it, no matter what!!!!

Hey Mbelle, you are doing such a great job. Started my weightl oss journey about the same time as you and I've only loss 5lbs (to your 15). You are doing a great job, stick with it!

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it! Well, I've just been too exhausted to go on the computer - love it here but just had so many late nights and early mornings - been trying to catch up on my work - its been a crazy schedule, and just before Christmas too :nopity:

Anyway, I'm back in the fold - I have a presentation to prepare and I need to do some exercise, bla bla - but here I am!

This last week has been a mix for me. I had done some research on metabolic rates etc and wondered if that's why my weight loss was slowing. Anyway, on my Day 29 - I had a "free day" ok ok it ended up being a free for all day. Then back on track (my healthy eating plan) for the rest of the week.

Well wouldn't you know it - I must have jump started something - I lost 2kg - 4.4 pounds. Yikes....

Anyway, so on the plus side, I am losing weight.... On the other side I'm still tired, and struggling along to try to do everything - family, work, sleep. Did you hear of the stats? Along the lines - obesity increases in children by 300% with a lack of sleep!

Sorry for the glumness - but I know I have my up times too - am probably just over doing everything. :patriot:

Well I lost (800g) 1.8 pounds this week, so I'm pretty stoked. :auto:
Especially since I had a glass of red wine on the weekend - first drink in 6 weeks!

So, over these last 6 weeks I have lost a total of (9.7kg) 21.4 pounds, so yeah, am feeling better!

Catch up again soon, am definitely planning to spend more time here over the holidays - approx 6 weeks....

damn dude 800lbs ur gonna be on discovery channel. oh grams? okay. well that's good too...hey 21.4 is real real awesome and such. nice job.

been doing my thing not focused on diet just trying not to crave continued existence on the one hand or self-extinction otoh. just the middle road. oh that and learning french. suck at it. that's all.:waving:
 
Haha - learning french eh. Drat I tried that for 3 years at school... the other kids laughed - and funnily enough after that incident my pronounciation actually got better - mind you when your at the bottom there's only one way to go!

So are you and the other half planning to go to France??? with your new bodies??? very motivating!

My sister and bro in law went over there and just loved it!

Anyway, glad to see you, and the day before Christmas too!

Well am having a pretty good time over here (discounting that I only lost 200g last week - grrrr - that's like 0.4 of a pound - whoopdies - but never mind, the show must go on!)

We at the beach, :coolgleamA: so plenty of walking, swimming, reading, puzzles and lazing in the sun! I take my protein bar and 2 snacks with me - for the day, plus 2 thermoses - one with coffee and the other with herbal tea - and just hang out at the beach! Bliss - except I did get a bit sunburned yesterday.

Anyway, its real easy not to eat or feel hungry... then its back home to cook some fish and veges - hubbie does his part and goes fishing! Yay.

Morning everyone,

Well another day in paradise! Still having a holiday break.

Am struggling a bit – partly physical hunger but more feeling a bit deprived. Our family visitors have just left – whew –
Have been feeling a bit surrounded and on constant guard – being constantly offered: pikelets, sweetcorn, potatoes, bread, chocolate fudge slice, lollies, ice cream, chocolate, apricot slice, fruit cake, raspberry buns, quiche. Still have in the house 3 types of biscuits, chocolate, new packet of chocolate nut selection, nuts and raisins. So I think I’ve been eating a bit more of the “good foods” to compensate – ok ok probably a lame attempt to comfort myself! :nopity:

I threw into our food scraps bucket some left over fudge slice (my favourite) and some cinnamon biscuits when our visitors left last night – and I even mixed it around with gross vege scraps and off sour cream – just to make sure I don’t suddenly go mad or something – and start digging into the bucket!!!!!!!! Sad –eh – to distrust myself so much! :ack2:

Anyway, have had some great times, catching up with family and friends and sailing – our little hobbie cat – it’s a buffalo – for the first time over the last few days! Also, have saved for myself – some nice salmon – so it will be good to have that!!! :driving:

Its good just to get through another week of “out of routine” holidays! Hope everyone else is doing ok!
 
Hi There,

Well am still on holiday break - which is fantastic in most ways. Yay, I lost 1.2kg (2.6 pounds) last week. So pleased, yes it did make saying "NO" worth it this last week!

Am just feeling pretty positive, pretty much "in the zone" and just got to keep on going!

Whoops, have just had 2 weeks of weight gain. Tried counting carbs and it didn't work for me - obviously having too many calories, so by the 2nd week I cheated a bit as well, and paid the price on the scales!

Never mind, we live and learn - I had 2 days of being completely off the wagon, but TODAY have been back on programme - and am feeling so much better! The food was having a very bad effect on my thinking and how I was feeling about myself and life -
so quite a relief to be on the more steady low GI plan today!!!

Never mind, I am still determined to make the journey, even if I'm chosing a sail boat rather than a motor boat!

hey i am back by necessity gained it all back and then some. sorry i left got into the drinking again and then just ate all day. hope you get this and all is well with you and your family.
