That really sounds like an excellent work-out at the gym. How did you come up with your program and learn how to do everything? Maybe you've been doing it a while now?

As for my program, I've been doing a few things from various DVDs prior. (beachbody.com products: Slim in 6, Turbo Jam and Power 90) I made sure to get feedback from personal trainer friends prior to doing the videos. I wanted to make sure that my form was correct from the get go. Also, the new girl I'm speaking to is awesome and she seems to know a lot. (I do a lot of research on my own on weight/ resistance training when I have the time.) Oh.. and I also ask Steve here at the WLF questions. I lurve myself some Steve. HA!

So one of my beloved pervettes here at WLF, Kimberly, got my happy ass into Bitch Mode earlier today. haha I was reading her diary (check it out, because it's some good shit...) and that book "Skinny Bitch" became today's topic. For those of you not-in-the-know (I love saying that.. haha), "Skinny Bitch" is a supposed self-help/ diet book written by 2 models who obviously don't know their asses from the faces. As I was telling Kimberly, I had skimmed through the book while shopping at Barnes and Noble. I'm one of those people who quickly jumps to the "Table of Contents," so I can get a quick summary of the book. Once a chapter catches my eye, I choose a paragraph or two to get a feel for the author's writing style.

This book reminds me of a room full of Paris Hilton loving sorority ninnies realizing mommy and daddy isn't around, so let's be foul-mouthed prissy bitches. Come on... if you're going to use such words as "fucking," "fuck," "shit", etc... at least use it when it's appropriate, you know? These dumbasses feel the need to add the word "fuck" in every sentence. Yippy... look at me! I can print a book with cuss words! YAH!! Morons.

If anything, this book believes veganism and organic foods are the ONLY way to lose weight. Hey... that's fine and fucking dandy (yes.. that "fucking" was used properly, wouldn't you say?), but I have known a SHITLOAD of vegans who lack energy when it comes to cardio workouts, their skin/ hair/ nails have gone to complete crap due to lack of nutrients... Hell.. the list goes on.

The authors also feel the need to hype up their "book of bullshit" by supporting/ pushing PETA ideas. They use sympathy tactics (describing the inhumane treatment of slaughtered animals), hoping you will say no to eating animals and stick to a plant based diet. Hey... to each their own, but there's no way in hell I'm going to say no to a good steak. Moo.. baby... mooooooo.... yummy in my tummy. Besides, I'm thinking my cave dwelling ancestors would be really pissed off that after all their hardwork and sacrifice with adaptation/ natural selection (molars for mashing delicious charred flesh) here I am reverting back to munching on leaves and shit. I adore you, you bipedal geniuses.

In conclusion to my little rant, "Skinny Bitch" was written with the intent of being witty (which they failed miserably) yet informative(ARGH! WRONG again.. you get a BIG FAT Fackin' F). I have to say, I'm quite impressed that Ms. Barnouin did such extensive research for this book. I mean afterall, I'm sure that non-accredited four year college, Clayton College of Natural Health, who so graciously gave her a degree in holistic nutrition taught her how to find "reputable sources of information" on the internet. Good job, you fucking misinformative "skinny bitches." :D

So ummm hey.. how about today's accomplishments, eh? LOL

- turbo jam (20 min)
- Arc Trainer (30 min- Hill Interval Level=4, Incline= 10, Resistance= 40)
- Weight training: Upperbody- biceps, shoulders, triceps, chest, upper back (60 min)

Breakfast:
- whole wheat bagel with reduced fat sour cream and locks
- sliced nectarine (490 cal)

Post Workout Meal:
- Wellement's Whey Protein Powder in 1c 1% milk (250 cal)

Lunch:
- whole wheat pasta with chicken breast, zucchini, black beans and swiss cheese (540 cal)

Snack:
- bowl of sliced plum and nectarine with cottage cheese and Kashi Go Lean cereal (310 cal)

Dinner: (Ate at Wendy's, because my ass was too tired to cook)
- side salad with fat free French dressing
- small chili
- 1 1/4c orange sherbert, because I deserved it.. HA! (610 cal)

Total Calories: 2,200 cal (1990-2340)

I never heard of "Skinny Bitch." I myself was vegan for almost 4 years, and it was mainly due to friends' influence and my own reasoning. My reasoning was solely for myself--actually it followed an epiphany I had on the beach when I took an eighth of shrooms when I was 19. I was effed up, gazing at the ocean from laying on the beach, and the waves were coming in perfectly symmetrical. How could that be, I thought. Then a vision of a cow came to me, in the sky above the water and I realized, "WOW. Cow's milk is for cows." :rotflmao: Silly, I know--and giving up meat was easy because I just plain didn't like it--foul was harder, and when I went to Hawaii 3xs then to the South Pacific I decided I can't live without fish. In fact I had grilled talapia for b-fast just now (b-fast at noon, what can I say it's a Saturday!) But my opinion is that book must suck ass. Fuck those shit-for-brains. Veganism is nice and dandy but a vegan really has to get in her nutritional yeast and beans and veggies and fruits to be healthy--and amaranth and quinoa. ANYWAY, I must say I was fattest when I was vegan because I liked to eat and eat and eat when I wasn't getting proper protein, I craved carbs and I would get (vegan) cookies and sorbet and such. Not like that happens to everyone (I AM a sugar addict) but I must say...I won't go back, I love my shrimp, salmon, halibut, etc. And fish seems to work for me!

Hey Sheryl! Loved the rant on Skinny Bitch. Lol!! I used to be a vegetarian myself when I was a kid. This is only because I grew up on a large farm and got attached to the animals. I snapped out of it in highschool when I realized how damn yummy ol' Bessie the cow was. Haha gross!

75 minutes of romping? I looked that up one time to see how many calories it burned and fitday.com said it was only 75. Complete bullshit. I know I burn at least 200.

I am hitting all the Labor Day sales today so i will be taking your clothing suggestions with me. Have a happy Labor Day!!

(I always pack food in case my ass decides to go running around all over town.) I spent about 2 hours at the gym this morning. Jeez.. I've turned into a Jenna aka Gym Rat. haha (Love you, girl) I then decided why not drop into TJ Maxx since they're having a sale. I find a few things and I'm thinking to myself, "Good luck on fitting them, but hey.. why the hell not try!" I got my happy ass into a size 32 House of Dereon jeans... bought it. I also got my ghetto booty into a pair of tweed G Star slacks. They're wicked and I'm thinking I'll probably wear that when I fly back home to Hawaii. WOOHOO! I'm planning to spend a few more hours tomorrow down at TJM to see what else I can snag up. By the way, for both... I got them for 20 bucks. House of Dereon jeans alone cost a hundred bucks. WOOT! Anyways, I need to head off soon to make Sean's lunch for tomorrow, so let's get to today's accomplishments.
