~Mem's Journal~

K... so I'm starting my journal tonight. The kids are in bed and I finally have a "quiet" minute!
I'm doing better day by day. I've been getting up and hitting the treadmill every morning. I've added some extra excersize here and there. I did seventy five crunches this morning (yay me!)
I'm slowly but surely getting back on track. :p
I started my weight loss journey back in spring of last year, stuck with it good until I hit a plateau that wouldn't budge and got discouraged. No excuse, but that's what happened. I've been yo yoing back and forth since but decided the other day that it was time to do this, and do it right and for life this time. So... here I am. Though I'm not happy that I didn't stay on track all the way, I was able to keep the weight I lost off, saving for a "few" pounds that come and go. I think my body thinks it's comfortable between 236 and 246... is that possible? hmmm....
When I started last year, I weighed 287.
When I restarted I weighed 246
Current as of this Sunday morning:: 244

Well, I caught myself right in the middle of an old habbit this morning. I was taking my daughter and her friend to school, swung through McDonald's drive through, grabbed a sausage biscuit. I took a bite and thought, "Gosh, this tastes greasy." By the third bite, I had tossed the biscuit, realizing that I didn't need that. It was so greasy and nasty. I never stopped to realize it until today. Small feat, yeah, but every step counts.
I've been getting my excersize in when I get up in the mornings but today will have to be evening due to schedules. I will not put it off though! I will do it!

No small feat at all.

There probably isn't a more destructive breakfast out there than the everloving and powerfully addicting Mickey D's Sausage Biscuit.

This is a huge stride in taking the leap of faith.

Pat yourself on the back ~Mem

Thank you! Have have encouraged me! :)
Today has been a struggle and hasn't went completely as planned but I'm hanging in there. Haven't had dinner yet... gotta find something light! :D

Congrats to you on your loss so Far!!! And YAY for throwing away a mcdonalds sandwich!!!!!*two thumbs up*:D Sorry things have not gone as planned for you today.. Just do your workout and relax. Have a Great Day and i'm also trying to decide what to have for dinner. I know I want it light but what??

Don't forget to drink your WATER:D

Congratulations on throwing that junk away! On the weight watcher's site, they call that an NSV; a non-scale victory! It's great!:)

NSV; a non-scale victory

I love that!! I'll have to remember it!!!
Thank you so much for the encouragement everyone!!
Today went MUCH better!!!
Hope everyone else had a good day as well, and yep... I drank my water! :D
I hit the treadmill first thing this morning, did my ab cruches, light weight lifting.
It suprises me how much better you feel when you excersize first.

Hey, Mem. Didn't spitting out the biscuit feel great? Did the same thing with a doughnut a couple of weeks ago and felt really, really good about it. Your doing great. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Trucker & Pineola!
Did my workout today, had a lighter breakfast... off to start my day!
Hope you guys have a good day!!!
:)

Thank you Crebbs. :) Slow and steady wins the race, right? :)
Today has been good. No breakfast because I was sick last night and this morning so I didn't feel like eating anything. :(
Feeling better now though. Lunch was broiled chicken breast fillet, green beans (cooked the healthy way :p ), and a wee bit of rice. MMM.....
Dinner? I need to get groceries so I won't have to do this "figuring out what's for dinner" every evening!

Hey Mem!
You're right, working out in the morning is great...it gives you such a boost. I wish I could go to Curves before work, but it just won't work in my schedule. I need to do better about getting up early  so that I can do something at home before I leave for work!

Well, the weekend stunk! LOL
Had myself mentally set to get back on track today. When I woke up, my youngest daughter was making me breakfast. YIKES! I didn't want to hurt her feelings, so I ate it and counted the calories! (it was a breakfast sandwich)
The rest of the day has went pretty well. Getting ready to get my walking in!
Hope everyone had a great day!

Thanks dariqueen. Yeppers, today is a new day! Took the kids to the park/tennis court. We spent almost 2 hours there! Fun, Fun, Fun! :)

Well, you must have burnt off a lot of calories running around with your kids for two hours! Probably the equal of a breakfast sandwich. ;)
