We here in Arizona got it right. The clock stays the same the whole year. Well not literally, it's not 9:17 am the whole year. Anyway, I guess the idea is that the last thing needing to be saved in Phoenix is daylight. We already get more of that than necessary. Unfortunately we still have to keep track of everyone else's time changes (Europe changes at different times than the Americas).

Me not likey daylight saving either - it's like i was jet-lagged! need a week to adjust!
I hope you had a good day!

Hey Justina & Mr.Vee - yup- daylite savings sucks ! .... everyone at work today was in a "fog"... my hubby says we should just stick with the savings-time year round.... who really cares how early it gets dark up here in winter?.... it's this week adjust that is so hard on everyone each spring... I got in my noon walk & the treadmill today , didn't make it to my zumba dvd tonite - will try tomorrow to hit all 3 ...

Did pretty-good on my calories today- ended up at 1,300...
I had run out of my spring-greens salad , so just had triscuits/sardines/yogurt/apple for lunch , so got pretty hungy by late afternoon , I did stop at the grocers on my way home & picked up some ... so I'll be able to pack a nice big salad in my lunch tomorrow , those greens just seem to work so well for me to keep hunger away...

Good job on your calories. Talking about daylight savings, try getting used to it when you can't fall asleep till 6am on Saturday night, sleep till 1:30 pm, then not being able to fall back asleep till 2:30am on Sunday night and having to be up at 7:20am. It's been tough.

Hey Wednesday... cruising thru the week ....

Hey Mystic - eeek - only 5 hours sleep Sunday nite, ick ! ...... it usually takes me about a week to get in-sync with the change-over, who would think that 1 hour is such a difference..but it is !

Plan today - the usual- View attachment 20190
Exercise: 1/2hr noon walk, 1/2hr treadmill, zumba dvd
Food: budget is 1,600calories today, bought some salad-mix yesterday- so have a nice big salad with my lunch today- yay.

wishing everyone a nice Wednesday-good choices ;)
cheers, Maryann

No noon-walk today- it snowed! grrr.... all the icy-patches now snow-covered, bit dangerous for outside walks, so back to just inside for a couple days...

Just had a great snack - a mango sliced up, with greek-yogurt(no fat/50cals/) and some ground-flax seed(for flavour/texture)...yummy - came in at 250cals...and really filling ...

well, off to the treadmill,

cheers all,
maryann :)

Hi Maryann, I'm going back to the Greek no-fat yoghurt too. I have gradually been getting sweeter & sweeter yoghurt & I have had enough. It's time to change my taste buds back to wanting less sweet stuff. Natural yoghurt with fresh fruit is a GREAT snack, or even a mini meal. I used to have it for breakfast. I LOVE mangoes! I had better buy some before they disappear off our shelves. Our heatwave vanished yesterday, so hopefully it has gone your way to melt that snow ;) Cheers xo Cate

oh my gosh - you still have snow up there? we have 24 degrees this weekend & some trees are in blooms - bliss!!!

Great snack!! I don't like yogurt - I prefer plain kefir - but i do use Greek yogurt when I make my tzatziki! I just had some mango too!

It was terrible to have so little sleep sunday night but that was better than laying in bed saturday night for hours and hours not sleeping.
I think your sending your snow our way as we are suppose to get snow tomorrow!! We don't want it! Take it back!

Maryann,
For the snow...misery love company...we had snow here in Shenyang this week too! It' s off the roads now, but the still on the ground. One of these days we'll thaw out!
Your snack sounds soo good! Makes me hungry as I type this!
Keep up your good work!
Sarah

Hey all - snowy Thursday View attachment 20207

... got more snow overnite- sheesh... I agree Sarah & Mystic - can hardly wait for that spring thaw !View attachment 20208

..Cate & Justina - I found a brand of greek yogurt here that has a bit of sucralose & 0% fat , so the calories are fairly low- 50cals for the single-serving cup, and the sucralose gives a bit of taste ... fairly filling ...

Plan today:
Exercise- inside(sigh) , 1/2hr treadmill, 1/2hr zumba dvd
Food : calorie budget 1,200 cals .View attachment 20209

hope everyone has a nice day -with healthy choices,
cheers, Maryann
