Maryann's trail....Rotation Diet "version"....

Good thinking Maryann- "last nite I did some "intervals" on treadmill - had a Dancing with the Stars episode on the TV - each time a dance song was on- I speeded up the treadmill to match the tempo of the song - was fun...& I did feel it raised my heart-rate up...."

Making your exercise more fun will help it become a daily routine. Congrats on your weight loss. Tell yourself that every lb you lose is a lb you will never see again! Keep up the great work xo Cate

ACongratulations on more weight loss!! Glad your new digital scale is telling you the truth and you are making it say less!! Go Maryann go!
It's so encouraging to read your progress reports...all victories big and small are so important! Amazing what a sense of purpose can do for us!
Keep up the good work and continue to dance with your treadmill!!

Sarah

Hey folks - Happy Thursday !

hope everyone having a good day.

thx Cate & Sarah for the encouraging support - I'm not a speedy-loser, my loss is slow& steady - but I am moving forward...so just gotta be patient & keep on cruising - I am finding the treadmill with TV works well for me - the TV actually distracts me from the treadmill....just kind-of get into a "groove"...and the time flies by...before I know it - 30-40mins have slipped past , the show is over - & I've burned some calories.... will now have to work on increasing time & speed ...

Work today was a bit better....starting to get used to all the new software functions - starting to get my focus back on the patients ! ( where it should be ...lol.)

Calories today - 1,336 ( budget is 1200 - so am ok with that).

Exercise - out the door here shortly for Koko walk. -
16_2_27.gif
then a bit of yard work & some Treadmill tonite with TV.

wishing everyone a day with good choices,

cheers,

Maryann

Hi all - Happy Friday ! it's almost the weekend- Yay ! ....scaLE was kind this week - one more pound down...yee ha ! ...

474.gif
~ calories today : 735 so far ( budget is 1,500)-so that should be fine.

~ exercise - plan for usual noon-walk, dog-walk in aftn, and treadmill tonite. - in a groove this week with food/exercise - feels good ...

PS.-have noticed that I am getting more "feisty" & more "active" this past couple weeks ( am thinking all those carbs that were my old diet actually made me snoozy & lazy - ...am now "waaking up"! ...being more assertive with hubby ( he tends to procrastinate a lot on stuff- I used to just put up with it- now I"m nagging him into action)- and used to procrastinate a lot more myself on yard-work, house-work, errands - that all seems to be getting done a lot quicker for me.....this weight-loss/healthier living is definately a good thing ! :hat:

Wishing everyone a nice weekend with lots of healthy choices.,

cheers,

Maryann C.

I've lost just over 10 pounds but no one's noticed yet!! Grr, but I think I see a touch of difference. Haha. I should pull up my old measurements, from my heaviest and then take my measurements now!

Good job Maryanne, keep up the great work!!

Thanks Mystic Realm & Brawny....the support helps keep me forging forward - one pound at a time...but I will get there.... Just U watch me ....lol...( I'm too stubborn to quit now-have dug in my heels, made up my mind...will do this all the way to target- then keep up what's needed to stay/maintain thereafter...

.. now that I'm well into month #3 on this trail- it's all starting to be a bit of a habit (daily exercise & healthier food)...

& nope - no one said anything yet - but my pants are definately looser ( especially the waist ) - so I'm happy so far- ... & I definately feel better -less tired, more zip....

...:seeya:

Have my annual family doc visit next week - so will see what my lab work says ( I'm hopeful will be some improved)

& have a vacation for last week November - so am looking forward to being less-fat/less hot (we're going to Florida)...and less "tight" in that airplane seat....( that's still a few weeks off- so am hoping to kick away a few more pounds by then.)

cheers,

Maryann C.

Good work on your 10lbs. Mystic:p - I know myself how much work each single pound is to lose - If you picture a 10lb. bag of Sugar - that's a fair amount of f...a....t...Gone !!

.........good 4 U ! (I'll be those measurements are down - that weight had to come-off from somewhere eh ?.....)

...

Thanks! Yes, I certainly do notice it a bit. I fit into 2 pairs of pants I haven't fit into in a while! And last night a friend did ask me if I lost weight, however he has been following my facebook posts about me exercising (I post about exercising but don't say anything about losing weight or anything) so he may have just been being polite, but it was nice of him to say.

Hi all - Happy Monday :seeya:

Wuz a busy weekend for me - went to a charity banquet Sat.nite - ( fortunately the supper was fairly healthy - I watched the starch & only had 1 small piece dessert ) & only 1 & 1/2 lite beer - was fun - they had a "suprise guest" -
5_5_140.gif
...yup- an Elvis impersonator ( he was really good ) - came around to each table & met us - the fund-raiser was to support guide-dogs & they had a lot of them there ... a room full-of energetic labs , and happy supporters.... (& I was able to wear a pair of my bit smaller-fitting jeans this weekend - yay ! ).

Today good so far -

calories - 1,440 (budget is 1,500 today-so that's ok )

Exercise - dog walk & tread mill tonite. (missed noon-walk - work still quite busy .)

..

well - time to take Koko for her walk,

wishing everyone a nice evening ,

Maryann C. :)

Hey Maryanne, you are doing so well! My xmas goal is to get into smaller jeans, it's such a boost.

Elvis impersonator sounds fun. How's the week going?

Hi all , Hey Anna -

my week is going ok - work starting to settle a bit - we still have a support person in the dept.( will be glad once they are done- then will be back to just our regular staff- regular routine)

- I did some teaching for our site nurses yesterday as part of an annual education update we do in-house for staff - was kind0f fun being the "instructor" - I don't do it very often...was a bit nervous - but it went well ...I kept it light - humour... no one fell-asleep for me....lol...

wore my smaller-size jeans on errands today - they are starting to feel a bit looser- so fun ! ....it's nice to start to get some benefits from the hard work.... :p

my calories today: 1,480 ( budget was 1,800 today - so that is good)

~ hit a a bit of challenge this aftn - ended up grocery shopping before supper - was pretty hungry - everything smelled and looked good - took a bit of determination to push past the bakery isle

- but I promised myself a "treat" of a packet of flavored almonds, and focused on the produce - got some mandarin oranges, bananas, red grapes, and even some frozen mango ( makes a nice evening snack ) , and bought a nice bunch of kale ( never tried it before - think I've seen a recipe where you can bake/dry it - makes kind-of "organic green chip"....will google for a recipe tomorrow ... ...

exercise : did my noon walk , but hip bit sore tonite - so think I won't do treadmill - just rest it tonite

...

well - time for a cup of tea & hit the sack ( am pooped. ! )

bth_CupofTea.jpg
Wishing everyone a good evening & good day tomorrow- with healthy choices.....

Good work! Have you had your Dr visit yet? Ask them to read in your chart how much you weighed on your last visit and you will see how much you have lost since then....savor the small victory!

Hi all - Happy Wednesday ! .....
399.gif

Hey Brawny - good memory dude- Yes - ..... my annual doctor's visit was this afternoon .....& I am so relieved -lab work all clear ( I really worry about developing diabetes)...

& weight OK - same as last year ! lol.... I did manage to lose all that I had gained over the winter - since my appointment last year

- so me & my Doc are happy about that.

& BIG Thankyou to all of you here - for the wisdom & support - could not have made it this far without ya all !

my "celebration"...too funny - 2 bags of low-fat 100cal microwave popcorn & a banana.....( no junk food in house...so a "healthY" celebration it is ! )

.

...now on to Phase2 - of journey to Unfat Me !.... squeeze-off a bit more weight , improve stamina before my Florida trip at end of Nov.

....my plan - keep on doing what I"ve done these past 3 months- calorie budget ( Free's version of Katahn rotation diet) ,

DAILY exercise & daily post here at WLF (to keep me on track & focus...)

Calories today: 735 so far ( including the popcorn & banana) - budget today: 1,500 - so still have lots cal's left for supper & a snack.

Exercise: plan for treadmill tonite ( had no time again today for noon walk)( can hardly wait for work to settle-down).

Hope everyone having a good day- with lots of healthy choices !

cheers All,

Maryann

Hi Maryann, Congrats on getting rid of your Winter-weight. It's excellent that your doctor is happy with your results. Next year you & he will be VERY happy! Determination will get you there Maryann & you now have that in bucket-loads. Sorry I have been absent lately. Life has been a little chaotic. Enjoyable, but still chaotic! xoxo Cate

Bit fresh here today - our "cooler" weather has started setting in , we had a dust of snow this morning - but I armed up with my head-band, mitts, and scarf & braved my noon walk - was a bit fresh - came back with cold nose & cheeks- but felt so good to get a nice outside walk in .

Calories today: 1,470 (we had Subway sandwhiches for supper - I chose a low-fat 300cal 6" & added lots veggies) - my cal budget today is 1,800 - so am ok .

Exercise : did noon walk, and plan for treadmill tonite.

Wishing everyone good choices,

cheers,

maryann.
