Hi Petal and LaMa! That makes sense about the water weight. It's nice to know there is a reason that weight goes mysteriously up and down like that!
Petal, I think we may do an iphone pretty soon. They do seem to come in very handy and she hasn't lost her ipad yet which was one of my big concerns with an expensive phone, and she doesn't get obsessed with games, so she will probably be ok.
Thanks for the nice compliments about my weight loss! I feel like I practiced for low carb by doing some of the paleo diet and getting off of most sugar and simple carbs before this, so it isn't as hard as if I were trying to get off sugar and also start a totally counter-intuttive diet at the same time! I only plan to stay on this diet until I get to goal weight, because I want to be able to eat all veggies, not just leafy greens. I may drop most grains permanently though. I don't really miss them much except quinoa which makes me feel good, so I will probably add a little back in. We actually just got back from my daughter performing downtown with her band, and we went out to nice fresh Mexican food and I skipped the tortillas, but cheated a little and did eat the beans. I do think it's helping to restrict carbs, but I don't think I could consistently get as low are 20 carbs a day like the keto people do, especially because of the dietary fiber and being regular. Eating healthy fats does make it so I don't have cravings, so I like that part of the diet a lot!
I am really happy we bought a bike rack and can go cruise around all different places now. It's like mini-vacations!
