Hi Everyone,

I'm starting my struggle against my belly! Tired of hearing "Mommy's fat" and of clothes not fitting anymore.

Started yesterday - sort of - had a good morning, up until a party at children's school. Had a piece of cake, and
then the rest of the day went rather well. Joined WLF about a week ago, but decided this morning that I need
help and motivation from people that are there, been there and also doing it!

I'm struggling to drink water. Don't like it. Managed a litre yesterday, that was a whole 4 glasses more than I usually drink! Proud of my start!

Woke up with a huge headache - scale not friendly - haven't even lost a milligram. Still standing on 93.4kg.
Wanting to lose 23.4kg.

Please feel free to give advise or even a hello will help! Now trying to lose weight for 3 years. Was motivated before - on my past journey's after childbirth - but now I cannot seem to hold longer than 3 hours on a diet!

Looking forward meeting new people!

It makes so much difference having people doing the the same journey that you can call on for advice and support.


don't be discouraged, my guess would be that your body is used to having to hang onto the water you give it, so your seeing that instead of real weight loss, better that than a false positive to dehydration.
 
Hi Marliah. Can't exactly say I have walked the path but read your post & wanted to say hello. Just don't ever give up. You will achieve what you have set out to.
 
Hi all, thanks for the welcoming! well, still strugling with the water drinking part. but the eating is better. yesterday went well. Feeling better already, much more motivated. thinking perhaps it may be the 500g I lost. even if its only water. keeps my mind motivated. I'm trying out new "diet" recipes. Thus far I've tried 1 and my husband also enjoyed it.

Hello, Marliah! It sounds like things are off to a good start!

I've been swigging water a lot lately, too -- beautiful chilled water! But if it's not feeling good to you, maybe a slight squeeze of lemon in it would help?
 
Hi noparsnips! I got some lemons yesterday. Will try, because the headaches are killing me. I know I must drink more water to help with the headaches.

Hi! I'm standing still with my weight! Don't seem to get motivated enough to pull through! My head is not clear on this mission! Don't know what to do! (To get my head straight)
 
Ait may help if you log a little more information on here, like food and exercise as well as how your feeling, it can help you see patterns and ways to improve yourself as well as allowing other member to make more meaningfull suggestions.
 
Sorry to hear that things aren't going really well. Maybe just set a really clear goal and work towards it? Something very precise, but small, not huge and vague like "lose three stone in three months" without saying how. That way you won't feel the task is too big,and you will also know when you've achieved it. Maybe you could combine that with trusylver's suggestion, and make your first goal to post on here every day for a month, logging food and exercise?

Sitting here reading my post of 2 weeks ago. And nothing changed. Still no motivation. or even eagerness to lose weight! Think Depression hit me hard this time. No money for pills, must just get my own mind straight again. Every morning I get up thinking TODAY! and by ten everythings back into the old ways. :rofl: I'm going to GO for the GOAL to post everyday - My feelings, food and exercise! Well u know how I'm feeling right now, Food up untill now was a cup of coffee and 2 crackers with cheese on. Exersice - that I don't know when I'm going to start. I had the flu about 4 weeks ago, but since then I still have the runny nose and coughing. Not sure if I must exersice. Or am I only using that as an exuse?
 
Well, the flu would make anyone depressed! But yes, today is the day to start, because it's the only day we've got! As for exercise - I am the last person who shoud be saying anything, because I think (from reading) that I am the least exercising person on this forum, but if I can recommend (who, me??) then I'd say just walk out of the house, maybe just before the dreaded hour of ten in the morning, and go for a walk! Simple, don't have to make it hard on yourself, just even rambling around the block for half an hour -- if there's a river or a lake or the sea -- well, that would be a huge plus!
 
Well, let me get u guys up to date! I've started working out last week. Went well. Exercised 4 of the 7 days. The eating is getting better. Can't keep to a diet at this stage, but

trying to eat less and only on time, not inbetween. Strugling sometimes with the inbetween but the I try to pick on something like cheese (Protein). The water intake is a HUGE

mountain in my small view. Getting a glas 1st thing in the morning and then maybe 2 hours later and then Never. At least its 500ml more than I normally drank.

My weightloss has been 2kg up until now. Which I think is mostly water retention. But with that gone, I don't feel so bloated and the future loss will be more positive! Tx u guys!
 
Well......................nothing yet! Motivation is a HUGE Problem.

Started again today! Weigh inn was 93.6kg. Let's see if SPRING can motivate me!
