Well Saturday was everything I expected it to be....crazy. I was active all day getting everything done, but at the same time I didn't eat that great. At this point I'll consider it a wash...I didn't lose but I didn't gain either. Today went great- I ate a lot better and I even took the kids to the park and walked 3.5 miles- things are looking up :)

My goal is to start tracking my calories again. I have slacked off lately. When I was doing this and writing it down here, I was more accountable for my eating behavior. Since I have slacked off, I have not had much success in losing.

Today I had the following
oatmeal w/milk, brown surgar, light butter and dried cranberries 400
coffee- 30
sausage- 100
egg w/bread and light butter 320
snack 2 hard boiled eggs 140
some baked lays 100
1 pickel slice 30
croutons 50
chicken 350
parsnips, 250

total 1720

Hello again- today was good even though I didn't get to the park to walk...but not all is lost- hope to be on the treadmill here in the next few minutes for a major power walk. My eating was not the worst it could have been but I have seen better days. I do not plan to eat any more tonight so here is the damage:

oatmeal w/milk, brown sugar, light butter & dried cranberries - 420
mt dew 70 (boy this wasn't worth it)
sausage 250
milk- 80
strawberry ice cream- 260
peanut butter 150
potato gnocchi with chicken, diced tomatoes, olive oil and mushrooms-
about 450
asparagus- 75
canada dry (and neither was this) 140

total damage for the day- 1895:eek:

But today is not totally ruied yet...I'm heading for the treadmill is just a few minutes- gotta get the kiddies ready for bed first.:D
 
Keep it up Marie you are doing good. I have a question for you though. On the counting calories, how do you determine how many are in a home cooked meal. Is it by the portion of it?? I didn't want to get into the counting calorie thing b/c I don't want to get frustrated but I know I need to knowmy caloric intake, you know. Holla at me if you have any suggestions...thanks girl :)
 
Hi Lovinme- thanks for checking in. I left a response in your diary about counting calories. Counting calories seems to really help me control what I am eating and incourages me to make better choices.

Today was good...at the moment I'm too lazy to list what I ate...but I did track it. Hit the treadmill for 44 min- boy are my legs tired. Its late and I gotta get in bed. Will check in tomorrow to list my intake.
 
Today went ok. I hit the treadmill for 30min and am feeling good but I over did it this evening. This is what I had to eat:

oatmeal w/milk, brown sugar, lite butter, cranberries- 385
tuna w/onion, pickels, and miracle whip on ww toast- 297
Baked lays- 110
1 TBS Peanut butter- 95
small piece of lasagna- 200
bread- 350 (this is where I lost it)
chicken salad- 260
ice cream- 250

Grand total- 1947:eek:

Why do I do this to myself...I'm doing great then I throw it all away for a few moments of tastebud bliss...will I ever learn? But I am not going to beat myself up over it and I will try again tomorrow.
 
Feeling good today. Had a good breakfast and lunch...too tired to write it out. Did 75min of excercise. Dinner was not the best for me...there was queso involved. Also had pecan crusted trout with asian slaw and jasmine rice...boy was it good. But the good thing is is I didn't over-do-it. I ate the slaw-yum- and brought half of my dinner home, of which I will give the rest to my husband for a snack. I also did not indulge in desert when my hubby and son did :) This was not the best meal for me, but my ultimate goal is to be able to eat what I want (in moderation of course) as long as I can control how much I eat...if I can't learn this then I will never survive. Gotta get in bed, tomorrow is church. Good night to all.
 
Howdy all...today was excellent! I weighed in this morning to find 2 more pounds down the drain...yahooooo! :D Had the following for food:

banana 105
2 poor man's late (homemade brew) 200
Culver's cashew chicken (grilled) salad with raspberry ving. 610
tomato florentine soup 150
Bryer's no sugar added all fruit bar 30
a couple small pieces of rice crispies 200
ww grain bread w/lite butter 150
cottage cheese w/3 strawberries, pineapple and mandarin oranges 230

Grand total - 1675

All in all...a good day for me.:)

Hello to all. Today is going well...although I feel like I have accomplished nothing except for dressing and feeding the kidies. Here's my intake so far:

Snack

1 egg plus 2 egg whites, scrambled, in ww pita w/1tbs miracle whip- 205

Snack:
oreo snack pack- 100
Dinner:
Rotisserie Chicken- 400
baked beans- 150
grilled asparagus- 100
8oz ginger ale- 70
bryers fruit bar- 60

5 honey wings (400?):eek: But they were so yummy! Worth every bite.
Iced tea (unsweetened)
lots of water
This dinner is not as bad as it sounds...did not eat all the bun, plus I didn't even eat half of the potato salad. Just got full.

appox. 1670- I did estimate on some items, but I tried to be fair.:rolleyes:

Will check in tomorrow.
 
Well, here I am again. Haven't checked into the diary in several days...been busy. Have company coming for the next week and a half. Hope that I can at least maintain while they are here. It gets hard, especially when everyone wants to go out to dinner or they say "lets have desert"...ouch, I'm dreading it already. But I am woman hear me roar...I'm silently roaring since everyone else is in bed. lol I will check in to state how I'm fairing...and for all those who will be celebrating.... HAPPY EASTER!
 
Well, here I am again. Haven't been around for a while, but life has been busy to say the least. However, I have not forgotten my pledge to myself to lose the weight. Over the next few weeks, I'm hopping to get myself back on track to where I was- from there...the skys the limit! :)
