Mady’s road to healthy…

Hey Mady,

Where are you? We miss you! I've heard that it's really cold in Europe right now, so hope you are doing OK.

Sarah

Mady hope everything is ok and you are doing well.

I saw that the weather in Romania is terrible.hope you come back soon and tell us what you ' ve been up to!

AHi everyone,

Sorry I’ve been missing this week. I’ve been very ill with a really bad case of flu, high fever and sore throat. I haven’t been able to track my food since some days I had little appetite and some days a lot. No eating pattern whatsoever and no exercise either. Instead, lots of sleep. And I’m still sleepy.

Regarding the weather, yeah, it’s snowing a lot and there’s an orange code of snow. I don’t know how bad that is, but in some remote villages people are stuck in their houses by too much snow and some even are without electricity. Everyone’s saying that we haven’t had this much snow since 1954. My grandmother used to tell stories about that winter saying that people had to dig tunnels in the snow to get to their wood supply. So far, in Bucharest is snowing but it’s relatively ok. I’ll see tomorrow morning when I have to go to work. Would have stayed at home more but there’s a lot of work pilling up and my colleague is going on a trip and my boss can’t handle the workload alone.

Tomorrow’s my weight in and I’m pretty sure I gained weight so I don’t have any hopes for tomorrow. I’ll have time to recuperate. I’m aiming for 8 perfect days since next Tuesday I’ll be going for 3 days to Vienna. The 2 weeks transformed into 3 days.

In the following days I’ll read everyone’s diaries and catch up with you.

Hey Mady im sorry you have been sick. Something real nasty has been going around like crazy and it sounds like you were its latest victim. Man it seems like everyone has it or had it.Try and still get a little rest you can start anew next week. Hope you feel better!

AHeya sweetie

Aww sorry to hear you have been so so ill :( but i'm glad to see you are on the mend :) Don't worry too much about what the scales say and don't worry about what you ate while you were ill. You can get back on track WHEN you feel 100% again but don't rush your body, it needs time to recover :)

Love and hugs Xx

Oh boy Mady, It seems like most of us have had awful bugs over the last month or so. Don't stress too much about what's happened sweets. It's all fixable! Vienna, ahh Vienna, lucky you! Everything sounds so remote & so romantic & SO far away from 'down-under, down-under' in Tasmania, Australia. It's Summer here of course but it doesn't snow in Winter where I live. I don't much like snow. Brrr. Take care sweetie & get well soon xo Cate

Last week one of my friends from work gave birth to a baby girl. So, together with 2 of my colleagues, I went and visited her at the hospital. Had to walk for 45 min to reach the hospital since all the traffic was blocked by all the snow. It kept coming and coming. Luckily it stopped this morning.
I had another 45 min walk back to work since I had to work late to finish a report. Had to walk another 20 min on my way home. When I got home I was so tired I just got in bed and fell asleep. But not before I cried for a couple of minutes. I was angry and annoyed from work and with all that’s been happening these weeks, it was the only way to release the pressure. Was a little weird because I’m not the crying type. This morning I got my period, so that might explain last night’s episode.

This week and neither next week I won’t be able to go to the gym which is a little annoying but I’ve got too much work so I’ll have to do some overtime. I’m so annoyed and frustrated with my job right now. It’s not the job itself, but my managers that are the problem. All they now is to ask from us but they don’t give back anything. And I don’t mean money. I mean stuff like appreciation and recognition of our work, and even a free full-training at our headquarters. Yesterday I found out I was suppose to go for a month and train but they cut it short first to 2 weeks and than to 3 days. And all they talk is how they want to improve our work satisfaction. I’m getting annoyed again. Luckily, it’s an I-don’t want-to-eat kind of annoyed.:flame: I’ve been in this company for 7 years (3.5 in this department) and it’s the first time I’m seriously thinking about finding another job. I so not wanted this stress right now.

Everyone – thanks a lot for your wishes and lovely words :grouphug:. They were really appreciated. I still haven’t managed to read all your diaries. I’ll try to do it in the following days.

Welcome back Mady...we've missed you!

I'm sorry to hear you are thinking of leaving your job...talk about stress! Hope your managers recognize soon that people don't leave companys...they leave supervisors. When you are working overtime...you might want to think of ways to exercise in other ways than the gym...or get up a little earlier...you just stay with it girl...come too far now to go back!

Sarah

So glad you are feeling better now :) Sorry work is crappy at the moment :( Sending you lots of love :grouphug:

Both nights I got home and got into bed and fell asleep. I’m so tired these days. And because I don’t get home early, my dinners are not so healthy although I’m staying with my kal. Need to cut back on sugar and introduce more veggies again. I’m planning to exercise in the weekend :D. I can’t believe it’s been 2 weeks since I haven’t gone to the gym. And next week I won’t be able to either since I’ll be going to that training.
And it started snowing, AGAIN :toetap05:. How much snow can there be? I want spring, flowers and green, worm weather and lighter clothes.

And I just found out I’m going to be a bridesmaid for one of my friends that’s getting married in September. And she’s going to have it in a really fairytale ballroom . I’m already dreaming of the dress I’m going to wear.

Sarah – thanks for your lovely words :grouphug:. I’m still hanging on. I won’t quit this time. I have the 2 weddings in September as a reminder and target. My motivation is still high and I can’t wait to start exercising again.

Kate – thanks, you awesome girl. With all your lovely support there’s no way I’m not getting back on track and going forward…:grouphug:

Way to go Mady! I saw a picture of some of the snow in Romania...deep stuff. It's really cold here in Shenyang, but no snow to speak of. Be careful! Even though you can't go to the gym, you might consider doing some simple exercises at home...jumping jacks, setups (I do those) , pushups (yea...like I"m doing those!) and toe touches (I do those)...it's not the gym, but it can get you moving and burning some cal's and building strength.

Take care,

Sarah

Hi Mady, Congrats on being in the 80's by the way! I missed that I'm sorry! It sucks about your job & the weather. Do whatever you can sweetie. Any exercise helps. Listen to some music & dance if all else fails. I would say hurry up warm weather for you but that would mean it would be Winter here! Keep away from the sweet things if you can & get into the veggies. Sweets turn me into a craving monster & best avoided, except as a once a week treat!

Sending you a little of our Australian warmth, xo Cate

:hurray::hurray::hurray:

Congrats for thr 80"s!!!!!I can just imagine how slim you are going to be in September for those weddings! Its 6-7 months from now~~~~Tha is enough time!!!!Im really glad you are eating well staying in your calories!!!!

I am sorry though to hear about your work. You will get passed this difficult phase you are going through working so much, but as far as the "bosses" are concerned is there any chance you could speak to them about your feelings?Or would that make things worse?

Hope you get the chance to get to the gym soon!~

Sending lots of energy your way to keep on going!!!!

AHeya sweetie :)

Oooooooh bridesmaid :hurray: How exciting!!!! You will be so slim and look bloody stunning! So pleased for you :)

I knew you would get straight back on track :) I can imagine how frustrating it is not to be able to get to the gym but you will soon hun. Sarah's right, you could do a quick workout in the mornings. I can start back with my stomach exercises next week, after my surgery :hurray: we can try and beat each other with how much we can fit in before work (i am rubbish at getting out of bed, i leave it til the last minute) maybe we could get up 15 mins earlier!!!!!! What do you think?

Love and hugs Xx
