Lukewarm's Weight Loss Diary

Hey sweetie, guess we're both suffering from our insomnia. I was sleeping since 8:30pm but woke up at 1am. Arrrrrrrrrrrgh.

IMHO, the 3 slices of pizza was no problem. You didn't eat dinner to make up for it, and I personally don't find it that unhealthy for a young girl who exercises. Unless you have cholesterol and high blood pressure, which I doubt. I'm more into being healthy in moderation. Ya know, eating healthy way more often than not but still eating my junk sometimes. And pizza does have cheese and tomato sauce, which both have their good elements.

When are you leaving for MI?
 
i agree with blancita :) i have pizza about 2 times a month, but i plan it and stay within my calories. plus its good for the soul not to deprive yourself of things you crave :)
i can feel your pain when it comes to the heels..i always feel like i was in the battle after several hours wearing them.

Blancita I know! I was so exhausted, until I got home, and then I couldn't sleep? SLEEP should not be a problem anymore, so WHY IS IT! hahaha. Thank you, I have to admit that while I was reading the menu at the cafe I was thinking that pizza was by far not the worst thing on the menu, and as long as I accounted for the amount of cheese and pepperoni, and the type of crust, then it would be fine. It was so simple, just the way pizza should be! I'm leaving in 5 days, my mom, sister, and I are driving straight up. It takes us 24 hours driving in shifts stopping for gas and the occasional meal. Anyone have any advice about food to pack during the trip? It'd be greatly appreciated! I'm packing Kashi bars, fruit, veggies in little ziplock bags.

Lena Thank you, I agree, I accounted for the calories that it sucked up and I think it's a great treat, and truthfully the only reason I wouldn't eat it more often is because I don't feel that full when I eat it, and I can eat more when it's not on the menu. lol dude I love this little bandaid blister gel pads, my poor feet today!

I just got back from spinning and it was a good class, I have started sitting in a corner of the room where I don't get as much breeze from the fans and I am truly a disgusting mess when I leave. But IT FEELS SO GOOD. Damn I love spinning. I'm back in my apartment finally, I spent the night at my mother's last night, I love being there and all but I miss having my laptop and being able to post and stuff whenever I want! haha. I'm about to run to Barnes & Noble to pick up a nice planner so that I can start organizing my schedule for this fall semester. I have never tried juggling school, fitness, and work all at the same time. I am going to continue to not have a social life. I saw about 8 people I used to hang out with at the mall the other day and it was nice talking to them, but I'm not ready to get back into that lifestyle, I'm okay with it though. August is going to be an extremely interesting month for me, I'm not worried about not doing well and staying on track, but I'm definitely curious to see how I end up making it work. I'm excited, it's a wonderful challenge! Okay, off to check diaries and see how everyone is doing and then I'm buying the planner. Hope you are all doing well!!! :hug2:
 
with your planner and your determination i think you will make everything work out including school, work and your exercise :)
 
Tru Thanks woman, I agree that my planner will help me to view my schedule in a concise manner, which is just what I need. I love it!

I tried on my favorite pair of pinstripe trousers tonight, and they are a size 8, and fit perfectly ;) (I love vanity sizing!) I'm gonna post a pic of my new shoes too, they're leopard ankle strap stilettos! $65 on sale at the Guess outlet!

I know your going to look GREAT!! Must post pic's soon, I can't wait to see the shoes!! OH YEAH! Your going to have your worked cut out for you in juggling everything, but for some reason, I think you will manage just fine!! Hey Lukewarm!! How's it been going? I see that your down to 158 and a size 8!!!!!! Congrats, that is so awesome. I am way proud. I need to get back into the groove hardcore and get more of this weight off. I been playing a little bit too much lately, at least I feel I have. I think leopard print strap stillettos sound hot! I went out with two of my friends last night and they were both wearing leopard print stillettos with an open toe (no strap though). They looked hot and you can wear them with almost anything (I feel). They are a fierce addition to any girl's shoe collection.

Keep up the good work and feel the burn!

Lena Thank you! I would say that this is the first time I've enjoyed shopping in a very long time. I think it's because my arms have finally slimmed down a bit. I can disguise all of my problem areas fairly well with little tricks, but I just couldn't hide my arms. So now that they're not so much of a problem, I think dressing is just easier.

Blancita Thank you, that's the nicest thing anyone has ever said. :hug2: I know that your little girl will turn out to be as confident, smart, kind, and beautiful as you are. You are a fabulous mom ;)

Kim Yes I am working out this evening, I have weights, and would you believe I'm looking forward to it a tiny little bit? And come on over, I'd love for you to raid my closet! I'm afraid that most of the stuff in there is far too large for you at the moment, but I agree that I have some cute new stuff!

Cym LOL I was hoping you were gardening while I posted my shoe confessional, as I don't want to help feed your shoe addiction ;) haha Thanks Cym, I'm half-way ready as in I still need to register/pay for classes, buy the books, get a tan (I know that sounds superficial, but I really do need to get one, otherwise I'll have to pay for the tanning bed-and I hate the tanning beds- when I get to Michigan) buy a pair of silver shoes for the wedding, in addition to other random items, email Leigh and give her the lowdown on what I'm going to have available for the next two weeks, arrange for someone to check on my kitties, PACK, plan food...sorry my post to you turned out to be a to-do list, sorry Cym!

Hello my sweet. It's been a few days but you've been in my thoughts.. I'm glad you're having fun with your shopping and everything.. Even though I've lost a stone I can't run out to get new clothes cos I just can't afford it. Doncha just love new shoes! (I'd love to see the pictures) There's nothing I love better than tottering around my flat in my new shoes..

I have to say I really like the way Blancita said 'pizza does have cheese and tomato sauce, which both have their good elements'. I always think of pizza as the devil, but of course that's not true :)

Won't it be great when we don't need to disguise anything, and we can just get dressed, and step out looking pretty damn hot!

I'm really excited for you on your trip - I hope it all goes as planned. You deserve to have a good time for all the hard work you've put in :)

Valerie You are not an ass haha! Yes I do love being organized, it's a shame it doesn't usually last long though because I'm just not good at it. But I try ;) Weights were good actually, but I'm so sunburnt it was atrocious!

I forgot that we had planned to take my mom's boat out tomorrow so I'm about to head over there again. We're going to take it around to this little secluded beach, but I'm so sunburnt from today that I must use heavy spf tomorrow. We've packed subway subs for lunch and it will be beautiful out there as long as we don't get any rain. I love the beach! I'm posting this now so that tomorrow all I have to do is fill it in. Ouch. Sunburn! It was incredibly beautiful but I actually got a little seasick. Mom and I were laid out of the deck groaning for a bit :rotflmao: My stepfather was a lot of fun today. I got my elliptical in early this morning before we left, I'm pretty tired now, I'm about to just collapse. Have a nice night everyone!

I love boating, absolutely my favorite activity in the world. I especially love sailboating as my friend in the caribbean has one and is in that whole world so we would always be on lots of boats while I visit. Now I've got the baby so need to wait a bit before I go out there again and get on a boat. Lucky you though, sorry you got seasick.

You know I speak my 2 cents even when not invited out of concern. Please do not ever use those horrible tanning beds, they really tremendously increase the risk of the very lethal skin cancer, apparently much more so than the regular sun. And they really age your skin badly. Please just check the literature on it before you use them again at the very least. Remember, you want to look good and young when you get to my age :).
 
Blancita Don't worry, I totally agree with you. I actually prefer being pale, it's more interesting in my opinion. I haven't had a tan in over a year, and it's a bummer that I have to get a tan for the wedding. I won't use the tanning beds, promise, especially since I'm pretty dark at the moment. I generally don't like the blonde/fake tan look. It works for some people but it really isn't me.
 
Hey Lukewarm. I haven't been in the tanning bed in like 4 months. I used to go about once a week, not only to get a tan but, it helps my seasonal affect disorder (self diagnosed, lol) in the dreary winter months in Utah. It's crazy that I stopped 4 months ago because I'm still kind of tan from it... I have never been into the spray tans, I cannot stand the way they smell, they reek to me... I might get one though. I just met a girl who does airbrush tanning, so now I kind of have a semi-hookup if I go see her :)

A few of my friends are way into the whole blonde/tan thing right now. Its a faze, I think. I think they look way cute (they don't go too overboard with the blonde or the tan or else I give them shit, lol).

Sorry you got seasick on the boat. Boating sounds so fun. You are doing awesome in the gym. This next week is when I am kicking it into high gear. I'm not going to let myself drink or go out to the bars or clubs this next week. I definitely got that outta my system this week and then some.

I added an avatar, I figured it was about time. The picture was taken awhile ago when my hair was black. It probably will be again soon here in a few months...
