Cym Thanks girl :hug2: I'm cool with the calories now. I'm excited for that silly interview. It's a personality contest so I'll have to try and win them over with my attitude. hahaha. It's a bit tedious though ;)

Lula Yes we must strive for our calorie goals, we'll do it Lula :) I hope you don't have cramps any longer, I can certainly understand how that would make hitting your target seriously difficult.

Ohh I'm about to run over to my interview, I lost track of time. I received an email from Leigh saying that she'd be sending me my new program either tonight or tomorrow. So I'll post it the moment I get it. :)

In case anyone is interested the biggest haute couture fashion show is going on RIGHT THIS MOMENT at Versailles and I can't wait to come home and stare at the pictures.

-Fiber: 59 grams

July was my last month to lose a couple extra pounds, and with the calorie increase and weights, and rest day??? I’ll probably gain 9 lbs.

I think it’s the coolest thing in the world and I’m going to be SUPER meticulous. I’m buzzing with excitement, I can’t get over how great she is.

NO, Sara, you are not going to gain 9lbs. You are going to train with Leigh and lose faster than before, all whilst munching celerey with almond butter! ;)
 
Yay - the site's working now... I've been having loadsa trouble accessing this site today.. I missed you Sara!!!! I felt so guilty everyday I was away - if not for the fact that I could hardly keep my eyes open each day I would've at least let you know I hadn't fallen into bad habits or whatnot!

I'm glad you're developing your own workout plan. It seems intense, which is great! All that weight lifting and cardio must reap the benefits soon enough! I'm SO glad you're going to be eating more! Especially now that you're upping your workout regime. I don't know too much about Leigh but you seem to think very highly of her so I hope the workout plan goes very well for you! And Blancita is totally right about heavy weights - there's nothing like it for inch loss, which is the important thing...

I think you're definitely on the right curve and you'll see the results sooner rather than later. I can't wait to return to my weight sessions too so I can see more inch loss. Well done Sara!! I can't WAIT to see how it all turns out.

Hi Luke! Wow, miss this place for one week and a lot happens! Congrats on the trainer for 3 months. Looks like your eating and exercise are spot on! 2 hours of tennis? Hola! That's fantastic.

I received my workout plan a couple of hours ago and I'm surprised. Leigh has given me a cyclical calorie approach, 3 days ONLY of aerobic training, 3 days of full-body resistance training, and 1 complete rest day :)cough: Cym). I have a re-feed (eating at maintenance) once every 10 days. She made a chart that I can print out and take with me to the gym so I'm really happy about that, I love charts.

My caloric range is from 1300-1650 cals/day, depending on whether it is a rest/weights/or aerobic day. I'm so happy about that! On that 10th day though I have to eat 2000 calories. The ONLY thing I'm nervous about is cardio 3x/week. Which means I'm going to have to cut out 2 spin classes, and I'll be cutting out the shortest ones. I feel bad though because the instructor is really nice and she doesn't have many people coming to her classes in the afternoons.

About the job, the interview went well, and I am just waiting for a callback. I have other exciting news...my best friend (and tennis opponent from high school actually) is moving in with me next summer, which is perfect because I have a two br apt. that is getting really difficult for me to afford and we are so much alike that my life will be complete when I have my best friend around. AGHH I can't wait a year.

If you do a hardcore full body weights routine, I have no doubt you'll burn more overall calories than doing 3 additional cardio workouts. That is, if she's having you go heavy (depending upon whether you're ready for that given your fairly new to weights). After a hard weights work out you really do feel so worn out and spent and you can just feel that it will take a lot of calories to recuperate your muscles, so its worth looking at the bigger picture :cool:. Slap me for being a nag :D.
 
Oooh, this is so neat for you to have it all laid out there for you like that....don't worrry 'bout the cardio (broken record here:doh: ) 'cause 3 days is more than plenty with the 3 days full body weights (I'm sooooo excited about that for you....OMG Sara, when you start to see and feel the changes this is going to make in your body you are going to be simply loving life!!!!

Blancita You're not a nag, what you are is knowledgeable in the area of resistance training and I LOVE hearing your opinions and advice. I drink it all up man, it's good stuff ;) You're right, Leigh wrote in the outline that this month is called a 'break-in' since I am new to weights. I'll list the names of the exercises down below, and then I have to really look at how to do some of the stuff correctly like 'face-pulls', but it's alright because she included links to examples I just haven't gotten there yet. I think that part of the reason I didn't really get into lifting weights in high school (even though I did lift randomnly) is because I wasn't doing anything correctly and nothing felt difficult. Having someone around to tweak your form is probably really important but I think I know enough (or will soon) to know what I should be feeling. She assigned me reading, and I'm almost done with it. I love that she's super serious about it, because so am I.

Trusylver I absolutely will! Thank you. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to posting my before and after 3 mo. progress picture. I've actually been on this site for approximately 3 months and 1 week, and since March 22nd I've lost 24 lbs. I know my ticker says 182, but I weighed 187 on March 22nd. She posted my before pictures on the outline she sent me. So I have to look at them haha.

-Face pulls - 2x15
-Planks - 3x60

Monday/Wednesday/Friday
-Resistance Training - 1650 cals/day

Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday
-Spinning - 1450 cals/day

Sunday
-Rest - 1300 cals/day

First 2000 calorie day
-Monday July 9th

Hey Sara,

The plan sounds very good, especially the rest part, and the re-feed! I'm glad you're really excited about this - that's a hurdle overcome in itself. About your cardio, I don't think you should feel guilty about missing a couple of spinning classes. You really need to focus on what's good for you and what will maximise your weight loss. There's no point doing a million spinning classes and then feeling frustrated that things aren't going according to plan. Weight training's just as important, so if the instructor's as nice as you say, I'm sure she'll more than understand - she'll actively encourage you to follow your plan (or Leigh's)

Well done with the interview, and yippee!! Is the same best friend you've been missing for ages? If so, wow! Life certainly is throwing you a nice curveball, isn't it?! You'd best enjoy it!

Ah, just saw the plan. Looks good, but I don't know what face pulls and planks are! They sound like what pirates would do (kidding:D)
 
Sara!!! I hate not coming by your diary after a few days I miss out on so much going on, darn it!! Your doing fantastic girlfriend! sounds like your routine is going to work out for you and you will start seeing those results you've been wanting, I have no doubt about that! I did read earlier that you had your sister takes some pic's of you but you didn't like them are you NUTS?????????? If you post one, then so will I???? I promise you that! Regardless of my size I never take good pictures so that should make you feel better right? :) That's awesome news about your BF coming to live with you in a year, OH that will be so nice for you! It helps to have around people we feel comfortable with and people who keep us laughing. Have you heard back on that job yet?? I hope everything works out wonderfully for you!! What have you listened to today?? Any good music on the radio? I down loaded some Amy Winehouse, love her new stuff, I think I need to download some new workout music on my IPOD, any suggestions?? maybe the Pussycat dolls, they have good pick me up and jam music. I know how it is, I don't adore the gym classes because it's now too easy for me (except Mr. Psycho Michael's Kickboe) but I hate hurting feelings.

Wow, nice workout plan. There's a spinning class at the gym I go to.. I hear its almost always full since its so popular. Is it really that fun?
