Lukewarm's Weight Loss Diary

Hey Sara! Sounds like your plate is full right now. I hope you get needed rest and I hope you get BIG TIPS!!! OH yeah, I'm sure you will! Oh, and eat girlfriend, you have to keep up that energy. Have a good rest of your day!
Kim

Wow Sara, you're so super organized. That's great, so much energy and drive there. I like what you said about maintaining a weight that you can achieve and be happy with, rather than constantly chasing some elusive weight and not being happy about oneself in between. Sounds like you're doing great and I'm glad :).

Mal I'm looking forward to nice arms too ;) The job is physical and I have missed that. Yeah I have to make sure I've got next semester's tuition by Christmastime...wish me good luck...or rather good tips!

Well, speaking from the perspective of one who has spent more time on a bar stool than a church pew, a welcoming smile, generous pours and a low-cut top is what brings up the tip percentage. ;)

Men are pigs (well, I am anyway )

Good Luck with it!

David C

Yes David, but what would we do without you piggy men? Life would be less complicated but oh so dull.

Sara, I missed your post about visiting The City. Maybe next summer you can swing by or some other break? You and Val can show up together.

Sunny Thanks for stopping by, I keep meaning to come say hello in your diary as well, I'm wondering how you're doing ;) Total Mr. Garrison. It's terrible!

Kim Thank you, I absolutely agree, I must get my calories in. Aside from the fact that I like to eat, I mainly just don't want to screw up my metabolism again. It's a problem though because ever since I hit 149 and feel like I look normal again, my mind immediately reverts back to high school where I thought "hmm, let's go back to one ice pop per day, and lose the weight" when I now know how INCREDIBLY STUPID that reasoning is. I am getting my cals in though so it's all good.

Claudia Thank you so much :hug2: I AM organized! For literally, the first time in my life. My energy is also insane! I just got back from work and I feel so pumped up lately. I FEEL GOOD!!! I would love to come for spring break...I'll have to save up some money, but I really mean it, I would love to meet you. Thanks so much for the invitation! How great if Valerie would come too!

David LOL You mean my sparkling personality isn't enough???? haha but you're right, it may be piggy but it's totally true! Haha if only I didn't have to wear this long sleeve boy's shirt with a tie ;)

Ok so I just got back from the early shift, and I cannot describe how wonderful it feels to be working there again. No one recognized me though because my jaw surgery apparently shifted my features, it's like no one can pinpoint exactly what it is that's different, but the general shape of my face has changed. I worked there for two years before I quit, and then I haven't been back for 2 entire years. I have to tell you all, I was offered chocolate mousse cake, creme brulee, and key lime pie tonight, but I WAS STRONG! I resisted! HELL YEAH! I used to eat all of the appetizers at work, garlic bread, etc...but it really doesn't enter my head any longer. I mean it does still look delicious, but not enough for me to order it. That's a big step in my opinion. I just feel in control! This is fabulous. I'm loving school, my job, my mind...what a good time for me. I have to go and go grocery shopping right now (I have nothing in my house) but I am going check all of your diaries after spinning tomorrow morning. I hope you all have had a great week and beautiful night :hug2:

I'm so happy for you Sara, you sound like you're doing great. That's interesting about the jaw, hopefully you like the way its changed your face.

Good job maintaining continued control for this long haul, I'm really proud of you. In fact, I make sure to visit your diary for some motivation and to see how *real* discipline looks.

Hey Sara. I haven't talked to you in a little while. I haven't been on here for a little bit now. Just took a few days off from logging on. It's weird because at work I'm on a computer 12hrs. a day, then when my weekend comes I don't even want to look at a computer....

I lost 15lbs. at my last weigh in. I didn't even think I had lost any! I was expecting a gain or a maintain... I had even told my trainer to expect a gain, so he was a little worried, lol. Then, when I stepped on the scale and it said 215.8 I couldn't believe it. I had to weigh myself on the other scale they have there. It said 215.8 as well. It was so awesome. My bf is at like 25% still, which I'm going to be working on with my new toning routine we are putting me on....

Sounds like you are super busy. Hang in there, it will all be worth it someday, right??? :)

Have a great day!

-Sam:)

Claudia Thank you so much. I don't know about real discipline though, I mean right now I'm just on a good streak you know? I don't think about it too much at this point. My struggle is doing the weights. Like right now I HAVE to do my weights, but I just got home from work, I'm exhausted, and I have to get up early for spinning...I just don't want to do it, AGH. :whine: I know I just have to suck it up but maybe discipline is what is going to get me off my ass and do the routine. Actually, I think it's determination. I'm determined to earn the body that I desperately want. I can't wait to head over to your diary in a minute and see how you're doing though :hug2: I hope you've been well.

Sam Oh my gosh that is FANTASTIC! I'm so proud of you! I remember that you were worried about that weigh-in, and then you lost 15 lbs? Incredible. That is an excellent bf percentage, especially at your current weight. You're doing so well, I feel a little more motivated to do my own weight routine tonight now, so thank you! And I agree, it will definitely all be worth it someday, I swear I tell myself that during every single workout. I literally count inside my head each rep because I dislike it so much, but once I'm done lifting, I feel like a freakin goddess.

So, work is going really well, finally have some money in my pocket! I have rent $ at least. Next weekend I'm working Friday, Saturday, double on Sunday, and Monday night. It will be my first 'real' week at school, w/ homework and studying, as well as a full work schedule, so I am trying to stay energetic and optimistic rather than thinking about everything that I have to do. I barely bought any groceries at the store the other night so I have to fit shopping in somewhere because all I have in my fridge is water, leftover salmon, chicken stew and eggs. My diary always turns into a full life diary rather than just a weight loss log, but since every aspect of my life is connected to my progress in some form, I think it's really helpful for me to rant. Thanks ;)

Did you end up doing the weights? I bet you did cuz you are so f'n determined, like you said. So admirable! Why do you think I like visiting your diary?

No hotties in any of your classes? You must be turning some heads this semester!

Blancita Thank you for asking! Yes I did, and I had sufficient frustration to carry me through it because I was trying to post my reply in your diary when my shitty internet decided to crash, leaving me no choice but to go lift. And I'm not turning any heads haha. There aren't any outrageously attractive people around at school either. It's a bummer ;)

Good job lifting! Did you head to the gym or do you do some exercises at home? BTW, thanks for stopping by my diary when your time is so limited. I wont take it personally if I dont hear from you sometimes, but I'll be checking in on you 4 sure. You are a freakin' STAR!

Sara you are doing such a wonderful job! And keeping on track with your weights program, good for you!! I hate weights as we all know, but I force myself to do them anytime I can. My hubby has this ab roller thing at our house, and I swear I need to do them or at least try to do about 25 a night, then work up slowly each week, I think it focuses on the abs, and that my friend is my "bad" area, I want to tone them so bad, but I can't seem to get myself syked enough to do nightly ab crunches, I used to be so good at that, but lately, I'm tired and I don't want to. I need to get some of your motivation, so when I'm at home, I'm determined. I'm fine when I'm at the gym, it's at home that I tend to NOT work out. Which thank goodness is only the weekend. But you know how it is. I would love to stop out your way sometime, maybe we can all meet up at Cita's place. LOL LOL That would be cool.:)

Hi Claudia, I have my 10 & 15 lb. dumbbells that I use at home. For my step-ups I use my coffee table. Thank goodness it is sturdy ha. Thannks for being so understanding. I have so much to do right now but I'm procrastinating, so thanks for the encouragement.

Hey Kim, you're so sweet. LOL I know, we would have such a good time together! I would love to take a trip there! For my ab workout Leigh is having me do planks which is where you raise yourself up on your toes and elbows parallel to the floor, and I do 3 sets of 60 seconds, and my abs kill every time I'm done, and I think they're better than crunches because it requires many muscles to stay in that position. Maybe you should try those?

If you can, check out that link, that's all it is! It's hard to hold for me, but I think that it's worth it!

OMG, yes we do these in our Group Power class, I'm usually shaking like a leaf by the time we do them, as it's at the end of the class, and my upper body strength is wore out! I'll try a few of those a night and see if it helps, hey to me anything is worth a shot, thanks for finding the link for me.
Kim
