Blancita lol I sort of do want to scream a tiny bit, haha but not because of your suggestion, because I'm being such a finicky person and now I feel like I'm super hardcore with my diet but I know that there's absolutely room for improvement. I just don't know if I could ENJOY the taste of the smoothie without fruit. I should try it, because if I don't try it then I won't know...yeah my shake does suck up lots of calories...thank you Blancita, I appreciate it, promise ;)

Oh and this girl in my Pilates class today passed out cards for a 'free B-12 shot' from the Physician's Weight Loss Clinic in Pensacola...and I'm just thinking, 'erm...what?' The card claims the following: Increased Energy. Enhanced Mood. Improved Memory. More Balance. Better Sleep. Why would someone have vitamin B-12 injected in their arm for 12 bucks when all you need is a cup of soy milk? I was just pretty confused.

I dont know about the vanilla flavor but the strawberry is good plain. I REALLY need to get a new blender, I miss my shakes! Good for you for hitting the gym so often. I've been too lazy to lately.. I wouldn't bother with those shots either.
 
Blancita Aw you must get a new blender soon! I'm really in love with mine, I think that it's my favorite purchase in helping with my diet. Before I was just using it for fiber smoothies, and I feel really good that I'm able to supplement my protein intake with it. Also, thanks, I am very pleased I've been able to hit the gym nearly every day since I've bought the membership. If you knew me even just 6 months ago you'd know that this is very unlike me. Well perhaps unlike the old me, but I now love the person I'm becoming.

This morning I woke up extremely early and it was so nice to be up to watch the sunrise. I walked down to my apt. gym and it wasn't unlocked so on the way back I saw my neighbors piling their surf boards on top of their truck and it made me miss going to the beach. I CANNOT wait until I'm able to don my bikini and get out there. I sort of shiver in fear when I think about having to go to the beach regardless of what I look like next month because I am standing in my bf's wedding and I can't live in Fla and show up without a tan. Me in a bikini in 1 month? Cripe that definitely makes me want to hit the gym! ;) I have a lean muscle workout class and a spin class later today. Today I swear I'll make 4 L H20 and aim for 85 grams of protein again. Sat. fat hopefully will stay under 13 grams. I may just end up eating the exact same stuff as yesterday.​

Firmly at 165 this morning, back down from 166 for the past couple days.

-Breakfast: 1 WW English Muffin/1.5 Tbsp. Peanut Butter- 242 calories/12 grams protein
-Lunch: 1 Slice WW Toast/1.5 Cup Egg Whites- 280 calories/30 grams protein
-Snack: 1 Cup Blackberries/1 Cup Raspberries/1.5 Cup Light Soy Milk/1.5 Scoops Whey Protein Powder/2 Tsp. Benefiber- 425 calories/46 grams protein
-Snack: 1.5 Cup Grapes- 123 calories/1 grams protein
-Dinner: 1 Wheat Egg Roll Wrap/1 Tbsp. Light Chive & Onion Cream Cheese/0.5 Tbsp. EVOO- 135 calories/3 grams protein
-Total Cals: 1250 calories
-Protein: 92 grams
-Sat. Fat: 7 grams
-Fiber: 35 grams
-Water: 3.5 L

-Exercise Today: 45 mins. lean muscle workout/60 mins. spinning/60 mins. tennis

So I feel appropriately worked out but I've got about 8000 liters of water to drink, and I simply won't be able to do it unless I'm outside. So I'm trying to work up the resolve to go play tennis against myself on the backboard. It makes me run, and I don't notice that I'm actually running back and forth so it's ideal for me hahaha. My sat. fat was nice and low tonight which makes me happy, and my protein is good, I just added another scoop of the whey powder into my smoothie, and it still tasted fine. Cals are good and so is fiber, only prob is the water so I'm going to go hit the courts. Have a nice night everyone! :)
 
Excellent job on the protein Sara! I'm no nutritionist, but your menu looked a lot better today. And super duper job on the working out! I envy everyone's enthusiasm. It reminds me of my enthusiasm when I first started in a gym in 1993. I loved the weights and the idea of strengthening my muscles. Its a shame I feel so bored with the gym right now..I actually put my membership on freeze. Perhaps I'll start back at the gym in August. BLAH!

I am going to have to start trying to make smoothies. I just have no idea how. Will you give me some of your recipes? (Do they even have recipes???) I am so clueless!
 
Blancita Thanks! I tried hard to be very good today, and I agree that I think I did much better. Little things like a bit less cream cheese, and less olive oil...made the difference. I'm totally digging the shakes by the way, I'm actually enjoying them now, thanks to you! I think you will regain that enthusiasm. By your own admission you go through spells where you enjoy it, and then periods when you don't. So I'm not worried for you because at some point you're going to be itching to start up again. Besides you're thin and cute already ;)

Jolie Thanks! I'm really picky about the smoothies/shakes so if I like it, I'm sure you will. I went out and bought a shiny candy apple red Black & Decker blender, and for the actual 'recipe' I use: 2 cups of frozen berries (blueberries/blackberries/raspberries-whatever I have-but not strawberries because they're not as tart), 1.5 cups Light Silk Soy Milk (less fat and I can use more for the same amount of calories), 2.5 scoops of GNC Whey Protein Powder (tastes fine, and the more protein I put in there the better, because it's a hassle to fit it into my diet elsewhere), 2 tsp. of Benefiber (because I am determined to make sure I get in 35 grams of fiber from now on). Blend it all up and it's thick and creamy and fills up 1.5 glasses. I haven't really tried experimenting much because I hate wasting all the stuff I put in it.

Edit: Also I drink the shake right after my spin classes or whatever exercise I did for the day. I actually think the timing applies more for if you weight lift, but I don't fully understand the purpose anyways...so I do it like that because I feel like it may as well be a good time to drink it hahaha. And I had fun at the courts tonight, my serves are getting wicked again, it felt fantastic ;o) It was so buggy out there though I couldn't stay for more than an hour and I worked up a sweat so hopefully I burned some extra cals. And there's no way in hell I'm getting down 4 L of water today. 3 is the max, I'll try tomorrow.

Hey! Great job on the 165...the bikini is calling isn't it? I don't know how you have to energy to do what you do on your cals...but dang girl your macros are awesome! :jump:

Cym you think so? Thanks, because I've been looking at everyone's diets and for example Juliette has about 172 grams of protein per day which makes me wonder if even 90 is adequate. I feel a bit shitty today so I'm going to definitely have 1400 cals. Hope you get in some beach time soon Cym, if I had your body I'd be on the beach every day.

Curvie Girlie aw I wish you could play tennis with me! I need a tennis partner OBVIOUSLY! haha I'm the crazy on the courts playing against herself. Thanks, I definitely need a new swimsuit, but all the ones I want are super sexy and simply not conducive to my current form. I swear by Christmas I'll be wearing whatever I want.

So I do feel a bit run down today...and today I've decided that I'm going to start back to work early. When I work though I work such late hours and I literally cannot handle a different job, I've tried, but they're so BORING and I can make the same amount of money in 2 nights as I could in 5 days at some other place. My savings are nearly gone though and my gap is nearly gone (I want to post a pic just because it's so hilarious) so I feel secure enough in my habits that I'm going to test myself by working on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday nights- School starts back up August 22nd and I want to have my job in place before it starts, because I struggled last semester with trying to juggle work, school, and this freakin diet/exercise plan. But now I'm much more knowledgeable, and no longer starving so I should be able to do it. Sorry everyone I'm just sort of thinking out loud. Hope you all have a nice day though. :) Oh yeah there are no classes at the gym today so I'm going to work out on the elliptical for 60 mins, but prior to that, I am LIFTING.

Just paying a visit to your diary. I do shakes similar to yours with the whey protein only I cut the liquid with water. Daily breakfast, fast and easy.

We've lost about the same amount of weight but you want to go to 110? You must be a tiny thing.
 
Happychubette Hey thanks for saying hi! It's Kelly right? I've been thinking about doing that as well, you and Blancita both do it then...if I need more calories sometimes I think I will try that out. Thanks :) I'm 5'4. 110 is pretty good for my frame, I'm very pear-shaped, so even when my upper body looks good, I've got pudge on my thighs and ass. It's unfortunate. Hope you're having a nice day.

Hi lukewarm! Thanks so much for posting on my diary! I just popped over here and read your first entry and skimmed a couple more. You and I are similar...both originally weighed in the 180's, are 5'4" and have treadmills. :)

I love my treadmill...I just get in the zone and go....no excuses really. :) You have done great on your loss...you are already 17 pounds down! Good job!

Way to go on the commitment. My blender broke last week and I need to go buy one FAST. I was making smoothies with chocolate soy milk, frozen strawberries and bananas with protein powder.

I'm looking forward to my trip to the gym tomorrow, after reading your's and everyone else's diaries around here!

Bethann1156 it's funny, since I've been going to the gym I haven't been on my treadmill, but last night I decided to stay home and work out on it. I managed to do 60 mins, but it's funny how much more in shape I am in after only 2 weeks at the gym. I think your post influenced my workout, thanks!

2Skinny thanks Anna :) I hope so! I really do. Your protein shakes sound delicious actually, I think I may experiment a bit. The chocolate soymilk does look yummy, and I have tons of frozen strawberries. I will try it some time. I am so happy you have a chance to hit the gym today! Work it sister!

Well I didn't go to the gym yesterday but I still worked out, which I did NOT want to do at all but once I was on it, I felt pretty good and wanted to not only get it over with, but wanted to get my heart rate up. So I did alright. But I have a spin class in two hours that I'm excited about and I did decently with my diet yesterday even though I felt insanely full. I am also toying with the idea of trying out the bootcamp class after spinning...we'll see. I hope you all have a lovely day! :)

Oh well done Sara,

It feels really great when you push yourself to do something you really didn't want to. And yes, it's amazing how soon you can see the results after such little time at the gym. My crazy moments aside, I love the effects of working out, both on the psyche, and on the body..I'm sure you know more about it than I am now..:)

What on earth is a bootcamp class? It sounds gruelling! It sounds like you LOVE difficult classes! That's a fantastic thing - no wonder you're seeing the results.. You'll look so hot for that wedding..
