Lucy's Fit Life (Contains large amounts of nut butter and coffee)

I understand how you feel I hate moving just because I have to unpack stuff!!! But the fresh start is always good...Glad the job is working out well for you!!! Keep up the good job....

Dropping in quickly guys... I'm still around, just been crazy busy! Now I've got my husband back Wade and I have been showing him around, we've been going out etc on top of me working and studying so I haven't really had a spare second. Been slack with the exercise this week because of that but not stopping- signing up to the gym finally on Tue and put some new gym shoes on layby that I'm picking up Tue also. Planning on doing PT 3x a week for along time!

Food has been pretty good! Haven't over-eaten at all, haven't felt the need. I think I was going over so often because I missed my husband so much... now he's here everything feels a lot easier! Will weigh in and take new progress pics/measurements before I start PT.

Probably won't be on for a few more days as I'm pretty much doing whatever for a few days, going to crack down and start tracking everything thoroughly when I start PT!

Thought I should start regularly posting again given I've been so slack lol.

Didn't get up to much today, Ash still has a cold and I studied a fair bit. Did my chem assessment, was waaay too easy. I'm hoping I'll get my score tomorrow rather than next week! Had to go to the doctor too, I have a hangnail on my finger and the past few days I've banged it too many times and it got infected. This morning I woke up and my finger was weeping and throbbing, and by this arvo my whole hand was hurting. So I'm on antibiotics now, yay.

I have uni tomorrow for a few hours, no other plans! Payday tomorrow, if we get paid early enough we are going to sign up for the gym tomorrow night.

Food plan for tomorrow

B 2 eggs, 3 beef chevups, tomato, grilled haloumi. 2 decaf coffees with almond milk
S Homemade protein ice-cream
L Homemade coconut flour wrap with curried egg
S Homemade vanilla nutella protein cupcake
D 2 chicken sausages, mixed vegetables
S Homemade choc ice-cream made from almond milk, cocoa powder and stevia

I'm actually not counting calories at the moment! And... I'm much happier and finding myself easier to control around food. I'm unsure if I'll be doing this permanently, at the moment I'm just going with it and I'll figure out what I want to do when I start PT. Kinda just in a holiday mode of sorts I guess!

Exercise will be the walk to uni and back, I did a pretty rough workout today and need a rest!

Hey Lucy.....good job on wrtting everything down....and the work outs! I keep getting hungry when I read you journal I wonder why...lol

Having a seriously shitty day. Not food wise- I've been 100% to what I planned... I was feeling weird this morning, went to class anyway and about an hour into it my heart was beating so fast, my palms were sweating and I started shaking. Pretty much felt exactly like when I had panic attacks as a teenager- raced out of there and went home, was flipping out like crazy. Was crazy anxious and my chest was so tight. Went back to the doctor, was having a reaction to the antibiotics I was on so was prescribed something else, had to take an antihistamine to counter the antibiotics I was on. Also have to go in and have minor surgery on my finger Thu morning, apparently my swollen finger has started healing and because it's still so swollen my fingernail has cut into the side of it and I have flesh from inside my finger spilling onto my fingernail (proud flesh. Yum). So have to get it scraped off and burned, nice. Getting that done at 8am on Thu before I start work at 9am (handed in a doc cert in case I'll be late). Urgh and I'm pretty sure I actually pulled a muscle in my chest which is why it feels so tight, only hurts when I move my arms/shoulders and it feels like a big bruise right above the spot between my boobs. Just generally feeling crappy. I don't feel super panicky anymore, not like before anyway. Just couldn't believe it! The doc is worried it was penicillin I had a reaction to so it's on my record and I have to put it in my phone in case of emergency. Poos.

Well besides all that, I ended up walking to uni and back, to the doctor and back and I think I'll be walking to the gym and back later to sign up too. So a lot more exercise than planned! Just wish I wasn't so anxious and zippy!!! I feel a lot better when I'm walking around as opposed to sitting down. I just feel full of adrenaline like I had a big scare and haven't calmed down yet. Argh.

Well. Tomorrow is a busy day, hoping I will be all better by then. I work 9-2 and have uni 3-6. Studying for a few hours tonight to catch up on what I missed today, so embarrassing. People would have noticed I was gone too, I spoke to so many people this morning because I was one of the only people in the class that had done the assessment and so a lot of people were coming up to me and asking if it was really hard etc. Argh.

Food plan for tomorrow

B Hot cereal made from 1/2 cup ricotta, 1 egg, fresh strawberries, macadamia nut butter, stevia, cinnamon. Decaf coffee with almond milk
S Protein ice-cream
L Slab of homemade protein cake, large decaf flat white from a cafe
S 2 hard boiled eggs, 2 beef chevups
D 1 1/2 thick chicken sausages, broccoli and cauliflower

Exercise will be the walk to work, to uni and then home again. I won't do a workout while I'm feeling this miserable! Hopefully all will be good by Thu, especially after getting my finger done. Hoping to start PT on Friday.

Going out for dinner on Thu night too, taking my husband out to a lounge bar Wade and I went to a couple of weeks ago that had AMAZING food!! SO I'll be getting treated after my finger thing and after work to a night out. Yay!

Because today will be so full on I'm writing now, I won't be home till late tonight and will just want to eat and spend time with Ash. He feels better now finally, yay!

I'm feeling a bit better today too, my chest still hurts and the back of one of my shoulders does too, if I move my arm forward or backward I get that awful tug across my shoulderblade and chest. I wonder what I pulled?? Grrr. Finger doesn't hurt anywhere near as much today either.

We signed up for the gym last night, there was a trainer in there that I spoke to straight away and I booked in for my free session first thing Fri morning. I'm so excited!!!! Got a female trainer too which I was hoping for this time. There was nothing wrong with the male trainers I've had in the past, I just found female ones understand female bodies better and know when to push you harder. My experience anyway. Also find them a bit more understanding of female problems lol.

Food plan for tomorrow

B Leftover chicken sausage, 2 eggs, grilled tomato, 1/2 avocado
S Homemade choc brownie
L 200g Greek yogurt with strawberries, curried egg on a homemade coconut flour roll
D Going out for dinner tomorrow night! Thinking I'll have the barramundi again as it was so amazing last time!!

Exercise is the walk to work and back. I'm working 9-5.30 but have that doc appt. at 8am.

Went to the doctor this morning about my finger, he decided not to operate on it because it's healed a heap by itself. Had a whole hour to kill before work though so went to the discount department store in our shopping centre and bought a heap of cheap tanks/tees for training. Yay! Had the slowest day at work, it was so quiet so it just dragged!!! Because I ate breakfast so early (6am) I ate lunch early and was starving by 3pm. Ducked out to the supermarket and bought one of the sugar free chocs I like (man, it's been FOREVER). Also ate more than planned with dinner, shared tapas as appetiser (GF calamari and chicken skewers) I only had 1 chicken skewer and a few bits of calamari but it was in a pretty rich sauce. Then for dinner I had barramundi without the potato but forgot to order the sauce on the side, there was SO MUCH of it! Scraped off as much as I could (I'm not a big fan of hollandaise-type sauces) and still enjoyed my dinner but didn't eat much of the veg... as after scraping off the sauce that's where it ended up lol. Then we went for a walk and the guys got dessert (waffles and ice-cream) while I had coffee. Oh, had a diet coke with dinner too. So wasn't a huge fail or anything, just ate more than I was intending to.

Got my first PT session tomorrow morning! Also going to have a look at bikes, want one so I can get to the gym and back super fast and can go early morning/later evening and feel a bit safer.

Food plan for tomorrow

B Hot cereal made from 1/2 cup ricotta, 1 egg, strawberries, macadamia butter. Decaf coffee with homemade almond milk
S (Post workout) Protein ice-cream with homemade brownie
L 3 pieces homemade toast with 1/2 avocado
S Homemade protein nutella cupcake
D Dukkah crusted snapper with Greek salad

Exercise will be PT and 20mins of walking to get there and back again. Maybe more walking too if we decide to do anything tomorrow.

The nicks and bruises and aches and pains are just are sign of getting old. It's the nursing home before you know it now.

Sounds like you're now enjoying your more civilized surroundings and having your hubby back with you.

Enjoy the personal training. My trainer always kicks my butt, so hopefully yours will do the same.

Had my chat and mini session with the PT. It's a fair bit cheaper than I thought so instead of being all woohoo and spending the extra on clothes... I decided to do 4 sessions a week lol. So! As of next week I have PT Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri. Woohoo!!! (I think I'm part excited, part afraid haha). She's going to be a mean trainer I can feel it. Only did a quick session today as an assessment and she was pretty quick to see how hard she could push me. It's good, what I wanted!! Now I just have to get a bike so I can get there and back again faster, one of my sessions is at 6am which will suck as Ill have to get up pretty early to eat something and make the 15min walk to get there on time. Going to get one next fortnight!

Ended up having a pretty active day today. Walked to the shop and ended up getting a Subway salad for lunch and did some grocery shopping. Did a bit of baking this afternoon and then vacuumed and mopped the house, then cooked fish and salad for dinner. Think we might be going to the movies tomorrow, I think the rest of the day will be pretty lazy.

Food plan for tomorrow

B 2 pieces homemade bread will grilled ham, cheese and avocado. Decaf coffee with almond milk
S Homemade protein cupcake
L 200g Greek yogurt, strawberries, leftover fish
S Homemade protein ice-cream
D Slow cooked chicken pieces, leftover Greek salad

Exercise will probably just be a walk to the shopping centre and back to go to the movies.

I am already so sore from yesterdays PT session. Feels like forever since I've had DOMS, missed that sweet pain. Going to weigh in for the first time in over a fortnight on Mon, wondering if I will be pleasantly surprised or horrified haha. Haven't been counting calories that whole time either. I reckon that is still working out really well for me, I don't think I'll count again for a while. Pretty happy not weighing in too, think I might make that a once a month thing. I think that I will do everything I can to be as healthy as possible with food/exercise so I'm happy, even if results are a bit slower. I think that's where I usually go wrong, getting caught up in calorie counting then getting too hungry and bingeing. Now I'm not focusing on food and I'm actually happy I haven't binged in a few weeks!

We went out after breakfast this morning to the cinema and watched Elysium, thought it was pretty good! Came home and had lunch and have been lazing around watching tv all arvo, watched Pitch Black and going to watch Chronicles of Riddick soon too (one of my husbands faves. Psyching up for the new movie that comes out next week)

No plans for tomorrow, I think it'll mostly be study. I need to go to the shop to grab more eggs, think I will go to the other one this time so I can get more of those awesome chicken sausages I was eating. It's a bit further too so bit of a longer walk.

Food plan for tomorrow

B Hot cereal made from 1/2 cup ricotta, 1 egg, strawberries, macadamia nut butter. Decaf coffee with almond milk
S Protein ice-cream
L Homemade coconut flour roll with ham, cheese and salad
S Protein cupcake
D 2 chicken sausages, cauliflower and broccoli

Exercise tomorrow is just the walk to the shops and back. The day before my PT starts! Wooo! Getting pumped!

Decided to just go for it and weigh in today- 70.7kg. Have been seriously debating whether I want to weigh in regularly, do I want to count calories again etc... And I think I will just up till when I go home for that wedding which is in just under 6 weeks. So I'm going to be aiming for 67kg by the 10th Oct which is around 700g a week. After that I'll relax again, will probably stop counting calories and start weighing monthly instead of weekly. I don't want weight to be a huge factor in my goals, really want to go by how I look, how I feel and how healthy and responsible I'm being with my own body. If that makes sense.

So Fitday says I need a deficit of 732cals a day, and this week I'm aiming to weigh 70kg flat. Bring it!

Ohh, you used a lovely expression "responsible with your ow body". I think that you just found the key! Like you I don't look for a specific weight. I say I want to loose 10 kg, but in reality if I will feel fine with myself before that, even better. I want to become strong and fit and not being embarassed to go bicycling with my friends for example. It all comes to how responsible we are with ourselves. So far we did not take very good care of ourselves and let us go. We understood our errors and we want to make a change!! :) Yes!! Very inspiring!

For the weight day, it really comes to the person. For me it works best to weight each day. I feel myself in control and know exactly what is happening to my body. Of course, once I will feel fine with my body I will change that habbit. But for everyone works differently.

Hey Little Star! I think that to get healthy you need to take ownership/responsibility of your body. No excuses for me anymore! I'm not a huge fan of the scales as a way to view my progress, it doesn't show increase in fitness or body composition... I just use it as one more way to measure progress, but as with other things I do such as measuring or progress photos I only do them once a month. Just makes sense to me to only weigh in once a month too.

Well I'm all hyped up and ready for a big day tomorrow. I have PT at 7am, work 9-5, grocery shopping before I get home. For PT I have to get up at around 6.20ish and eat something, get dressed and go as it's around a 15min walk. I'll be eating breakfast when I get home.

Food plan for tomorrow

S (pre-workout) Nutella protein cupcake
B 2 eggs cooked in a but of butter, 1 Thai chicken sausage, grilled tomato

PT this morning was absolutely killer. It was a legs session today- after which I had to walk the 15mins home, which on the way back was more like 25mins lol. Uphill wasn't so bad, it was just stepping off curbs or going down slight hills that killed me. Starting to get sore already, got my next session 8:30am tomorrow. Feeling good though, it was super hard and that's what I wanted!

Work was long and boring, got the grocery shopping done, so I'm happy. Got uni tomorrow for a few hours and no plans for the afternoon.

Food plan for tomorrow

B Hot cereal made with 1/2 cup ricotta, 1 egg, strawberries and 30g macadamia butter. Decaf coffee with homemade almond milk
S (post workout) Nutella protein muffin with homemade almond milk ice-cream
L (before uni) 2 sunflower seed crackers with 50g chicken, 1/2 avocado, tomato
S 2 hardboiled eggs
D 2 pieces homemade pizza

Just had my second PT session, she wiped the floor with me again today. We did back today followed by 5 mins spinning. My poor body. Feeling pretty sore from yesterday already, I'm usually worse the second day though so not looking forward to tomorrow. Tomorrow is a rest day though, just going to get some study done and maybe start one of my online classes, then I have uni in the afternoon for a few hours. So pretty much just have to do the walk to uni and back and I'm all good.

LOVED todays post workout, was so yummy!!!! It was pretty much a giant bowl of ice-cream with a vanilla cupcake topped with nutella... Only the ice-cream was just homemade almond milk, vanilla and stevia and the cupcake was a protein one with only a few ingredients. And the nutella frosting is homemade too, pretty much just hazelnuts I roasted myself with unsweetened cocoa powder and stevia/erythritol. Feels like the naughtiest, hugest bowl of dessert first thing in the morning though haha!!

Oh man. You should see me trying to sit down right now, I have to grip whatever I'm about to sit on so I don't just drop! Haha! Ripped the majority of a callus off while deadlifting too, hurts like a biatch. Got to get some gloves next payday- going to be hurting on my Thu/Fri sessions!

Uni was really good today, also it was an hour shorter haha. A few people are way behind in understanding stuff so the lecturer wanted people that were stuck to stay behind and everyone else could go. We start actual food related chemistry tomorrow, starting off with carbohydrates. I'm excited! Actually going to start learning stuff relevant to what I want to learn rather than completely abstract formulas of random compounds that are pretty boring lol. Huzzah! Also start my two online units this week, thinking of starting one tomorrow and one on Thu as my textbooks have finally arrived.

My pizza for dinner was awesome too, did another 'throw together' base. This one was 1/4 cup psyllium husk powder, 1/2 cup almond meal, 2 tsp baking powder, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian herbs, salt, then mixed all that with 1/2 cup smooth ricotta and 2 eggs and spread it in my pizza dish pretty thin and baked it for 25mins. Topped it with tomato paste, leftover chicken breast, chilli powder, jalapenos, onion, olives, fresh tomato, mushrooms and mozzarella. Nom nom nom. Made a mess though so I'll be cleaning that up in a second!

Food plan for tomorrow

B 100g bacon, 2 eggs, 1 tomato all cooked in a bit of butter. Decaf coffee with homemade almond milk.
S Protein cupcake
L Toasted sandwich made from a homemade coconut flour wrap, 50g chicken, 30g cheese and tomato
S 200g Greek yogurt, strawberries
D 2 pieces leftover pizza

Exercise Tomorrow is a rest day, so just the walk to uni and back which is around 20mins.

Total calories 1556
Total deficit 807
Deficit average for the week 725 (woohoo, almost at goal. Aiming for 732 by the end of Saturday)
