Lucy's Fit Life (Contains large amounts of nut butter and coffee)

Yea you've really got to make sure you protein powder you like the taste. If you're a bit iffy on the flavour use less protein and add a bit of vanilla essence and sweetener to taste (erythritol or stevia are my preferred choice). You might need to add sweetener too depending on your protein, mine tastes really sweet to me.

These are very peanut buttery in flavour! The vanilla just enhances it. Tastes a bit like the centre of a peanut butter cup, has that kind of crumbly texture too.

Should have said I use whey protein (isolate) too, I dont think pea or rice proteins would work.

Hey Sunflower, its a sales job selling mobiles/internet plans/landlines. So something I haven't done before, hope it works out because they pay a decent hourly rate plus commission. Will see I guess! They've already given me less hours than promised this fortnight so I'm hoping they'll up them the next one, otherwise I might need to look for a second job.

No idea when I'm actually working till today, starting at 9am is all I know so I'm packing food to get me through the whole day just in case. Here's today's food plan.

Total cals are around 1920, also a day off exercise today but walking to work and back for a total of around half an hour.

First day of work was pretty boring, just training modules and awkwardly serving people when I didn't really know how lol. Was pretty quiet there too. Working 10-4 today and I've just had breakfast so ill be getting up to do a workout soon.

TOM came today. Had the worst day at work because of it- crippling pain and no money for pain killers. Argh. Finally got home and took some, waiting for it to subside. So glad I have tomorrow off to recover!

I've been so good this week food/exercise wise, wonder how much TOM will affect my weigh in on Mon. At least I'm not weighing in just before, I usually retain much more fluid then. To stay on track for my mini goal I have to weigh 70.6kg or less. We will see!
 
Ah, TOM ... personally, I never go anywhere without painkillers EVER, still scared from horrific teenage episodes ... kudos for making it through the day without!
Hope you have a good weekend nevertheless, and fingers crossed for Monday!
 
Ok...the estrogen is flowing freely on this thread right now. I have nothing to contribute on the TOM talk. But after 23 years of marriage I have learned to agree with everything y'all say during this time....ha ha
Hey Lucy I just bought the stuff to make the protein bars...gonna give it a go tonight or tomorrow!
 
Blue- I didn't know we had painkillers in the house, I kind of crawled home and asked my housemate and he told me where they were. I was so relieved!

Brawny- yay, let me know how they go! Taste the mixture before you press it into a tin/refrigerate to make sure its sweet/salty enough. They're so good after a day when all the flavours meld together properly! Om nom nom.

Ahhh sweet Sunday. Its 9am and I am chillin in bed, only got up to get coffee and breakfast. Just been browsing Reddit and considering going for a walk (its still only 12 degrees though and bed is sososo warm lol. Going to box later anyway when Wade gets home.

Couldn't stop eating all day, TOM well and truly got the best of me. Still did a work out but that would've only helped minimally. Ended the day on around 3290cals, could have been much MUCH worse if I let it. Now I'm debating whether I want to weigh in tomorrow or not, going to have extra fluid etc either way. Bah. See how I feel in the morning.

This week I am DETERMINED to have a perfect week! This past week my cal avg ended up at 2127, next week I want it just below 1800. I know technically I wouldn't have gained this week but even knowing its just fluid is disheartening. Want to be 70kg flat by Mon next week anyway. Can do this!
 
72.3kg on the scale today, bla fluid! I reckon if I'm awesome this week I should get pretty close to my goal of 70kg. Will see!

Hang in there Lucy, new place, new job, lots of life stresses that could derail a fitness plan. Focus on what's good for you?
 
Thanks Brawny, I'm actually feeling really determined for the first time in a long time! Pretty sure if I nail this week ill catch up to where I want to be.

Yesterday was perfect day 1 down. Actually ended up eating less than planned, finished the day on around 1670 cals. Only because I felt bloated and horrible the whole day from eating a heap the day before!

Work was good, I worked with a different staff member yesterday- a female- she's awesome. Have been around/living with guys so long I forgot how nice girly chat/company is. Its awesome, I like everyone I'm working with!

Yesterday ended up being pretty meh food-wise, ended the day on around 3500cals. Aiming to stick to around 1600 for the rest of the week.

Had two lots of good news today, the first being my citizenship has come through so I can apply for uni without having to pay (not sure HELP fee debt is something I should get excited about but hey, I dont have to pay the ridiculous $1000 upfront and $500 a week per unit as I would have otherwise). Also the area manager that works with my husband was appalled to learn his transfer was declined so he got on the phone to Qld and no one seems to know what went wrong. They're going to remove the previous attempt from their records and put it through again. Yay! Still 6 weeks till he's here though.

Haven't done much today, I did some grocery shopping then made more protein bars, some coconut flour cinnamon rolls and a pizza base for with dinner later. Still waiting on my tax return, I had to borrow some money off Wade to get food for the last few days of the week. I'm mostly using stuff I brought with me so my shopping is cheap, mostly just eggs/meat/veg. Just annoyed it's taking this long, want to buy a freezer dammit!

I'm really liking my job! Just wish it was a bit busier. Because its so quiet I'm going through the training modules pretty fast. Haha had a bit of a boost today, had to order uniform and when I chose M the other girl that works there was trying to convince me that no way I was an M because she's wearing a small (she is pretty small though) and the manager chimed in and agreed lol. It was nice but no way am I risking having to squish into a uniform.

Two perfect days in a row (was also perfect mon, 3 out of 4 days ain't bad)!
