Today's food

GObT93k.jpg

Totals- 1326 calories, 120 carb, 42 fat, 99 protein.

Guys, I really need to talk about that amazing and ginormous plate of nachos I had for dinner because it was amazing haha.
I slow cooked a couple of chicken breasts in salsa and taco seasoning then shredded it just before I assembled dinner. Then I cut up 2 pieces of mountain bread into chips and grilled them for a couple of minutes. Made a quick lettuce/ tomato/ corn salad and dressed with 2 tsp of creamy garlic dressing, popped that on top of the chips, put 100g of chicken mixture on top, then added 10g parmesan and 50g guacamole. It was amazing.

I didn't get up to much today, kind of finished sorting food for the rest of the week and finished that docu series. Husband and I both have physio tomorrow night and then he has Saturday and Sunday off. I think we might get coffee and check out the farmers market on Sat morning and might head to this cat carnival thing on Sun (haha I'm not really a crazy cat lady, just checking out the free stuff they have on locally). Not going crazy this weekend, I think we are getting Nandos for lunch on Sunday but everything else should be normal food.

Ok, I´m drooling. When does the delivery arrive?

Haha, the cat carnival sounds like a load of fun. And I'm not even a cat person really!

Its at a huge established market that operates every weekend so there's heaps to check out besides random cat stuff haha. A lot of it does sound fun though!!

Today's totals- 1367 calories, 134 carb, 43 fat, 100 protein

Also forgot to take a pic of nachos at lunch (re used last nights dinner pic) as the postie knocked right as I sat down haha. Got some naughty choc spreads in the mail for pancakes, so excited!!

Got to clean a bit now for when physio gets here. Have a late session as he treats my husband after me and he gets home from work a bit late.

Ate some chocolate last night extra, nothing too crazy at all but I think I let my calories be too low the last few days. Think I need to make sure I'm hitting at least 1400. Just going to eat as planned the rest of the week which will make my average around 1500.

Physio last night- BRUTAL. So we've added another exercise to both upper and lower body pilates days- an oblique exercise now I have more movement and support from adding abs, and a hamstring exercise cuz of all the quad work I do. Both are very hard and today I'm sore lol. Also upped my quad work that I've been doing daily so now I'll only be doing that on days I don't do Pilates... pretty much feels like I'm doing a workout every day now as it takes me a lot longer. Also walks went up to 35mins today (big up from 5 minutes only a few weeks ago!) and I can walk hills now. Actually encouraged me to add a couple so that's exciting! Exercise will be way up this fortnight.

Farmers market this morning was nice, got the greatest strawberries I've ever tasted. So good. No food pics today though as eating has been lots of little things, not intentional... just happened that way.

-2 beef and lentil sausages, 2 eggs, 2 pieces toast
-Salted caramel halo top
-220g Strawberries and kombucha
-wrap with 80g Turkey, salad, garlic dressing
-lite jelly
-will have a protein shake later to bring it up to 100g

Lazy afternoon, we were out most of the morning and my hamstrings are killing me from learning that new exercise yeaterday and then walking up all the hills this morning.

I'm so soooooooooooore! I can't figure out if it's from the hamstring exercise or the new harder squats or both. Had to drive south for just under half an hour for doctor and I was so stiff when I got up. Changed the pill I'm on which will start next cycle so that'll probably throw me out of whack for a week or two. Also had a blood test to check my iron levels and got a whooping cough vaccine as we are going home in Oct and my friend might have had her baby by then. So my left arm is very sore haha. Went straight from there to the cat carnival which was sooooo good! So many kitties.

Did so much walking between doctor/ markets/ having to stop at a shopping centre afterward that I didn't need to go for a walk when I got back, clocked just over 5000 steps (I think a 35min walk is somewhere between 3000-4000, my phone is TERRIBLE at tracking steps and the same route will show different numbers every day). Since we were standing/ walking around for a few hours I think I held up pretty ok, my legs were absolutely KILLING me (but doms so that's ok) and my back didn't start hurting right till the end. I know I'll be ok after lying down for an hour too so I'm pleased!

Was totally starving when we got home too, I had oats at 6am then we walked around all morning lol. Got home at 12 and then had a giant feast haha! I was going to have protein and strawberries after my exercises/ before we left this morning but forgot so I had that when I got home while I had sweet potato chips cooking. Had those and 2 lentil and beef sausages for lunch then had jelly afterward so I'm feeling pretty satisfied! Will have kombucha later and dinner tonight is beef stir fry.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Finished the month on a 1737 calorie average, oops. The weekend ended up being a bit food crazy... after looking back on the diary I would say it was because I aimed too low on the calories. Also my 'real' period is supposed to start tomorrow, even though I'm on day 10 now of my fake one lol.

Weigh in was 62.9kgs, I'm very fluid-y though. I took measurements too!

Start- 6th June

Weight 64.4kg
Bust- 98cms/ 38.5 inches
Waist- 75cms/ 29.5 inches
Hips- 95cms/ 37.5 inches
Thighs (thickest part)- 59cms/ 23 inches

4th July

Weight- 63.0kg -1.4kg
Bust- 97cms/ 38 inches -1cm/ 0.5inches
Waist- 73cms/ 28.7 inches -2cm/ 0.8inches
Hips- 93cms/ 36.5 inches -2cm/ 1 inch
Thighs- 57cms/ 22.4 inches -1cm/ 0.6inches

1st August

Weight- 62.9kg -0.1kgs
Bust- 94cms/ 37 inches -3cms/ 1 inch
Waist- 71cms/ 28 inches -2cms/ 0.7inches
Hips- 92cms/ 36.2 inches -1cm/ 0.3inches
Thighs- 56cms/ 22 inches -1cm/ 0.4inches

So it's all moving in the right direction, I don't think I can trust the scales at the moment anyway cuz hormones yo. I think next week should be more accurate but after that it'll likely go crazy with the new pill.

Goals for this month- changing it up a little because my exercise is more intense now. Aiming for a 1600 calorie average this month, would LOVE if my waist got down to 69cms and out of the 70s, also if this is a boatload of fluid retention as I suspect it is the goal weight for the month is 61.3kg but we'll see what happens. Also since husband and I tend to have junk food on his first day off I've increased the calories for that day (Sunday at the moment). So my weeks will look like this-

Wed- 1500 calories/ quad training + stretches and foam roll/ walk (35mins currently with hills)
Thu- 1550 calories/ upper body pilates + stretches and foam roll/ walk
Fri- 1600 calories/ lower body pilates + stretches and foam roll/ walk
Sat- 1500 calories/ quad training + stretches and foam roll/ walk
Sun- 1900 calories/ quad training + stretches and foam roll/ walk
Mon- 1550 calories/ upper body pilates + stretches and foam roll/ walk
Tue- 1600 calories/ lower body pilates + stretches and foam roll/ walk

My walks are still increasing by 5mins every week, not sure where I'll stop that... maybe at 45mins? That seems a pretty reasonable amount of time.

Incredible results, Lucy. Well done!

Thanks Cate!! I'm actually pretty happy with results so far, I think if I can keep consistently getting about the same each month it'll be good.

Right! My day!! Husband bought me new shoes for walking the other day which was incredibly sweet as my regular shoes aren't really holding up with the increased mileage and I've been getting blisters. Wore them today and they're AWESOME.

Watched a really good documentary on Netflix about Scientology which was awesome.

Tried a few new foody bits- slim secrets love bites which are basically small packets of protein chocolate and I really like them. They're 132-150 cals a packet and remind me of Easter chocolate (haha like the compound stuff I guess) but good for what they are! Also tried chicken flavoured quinoa puff snack pack things that husband got in a goody bag at a work conference, 68cals a pack. And for dinner I finally tried the new brand of black bean spaghetti I got and holy moly, I'm so full. It says 4 serves in a pack but I decided to divide it in two and it was too much despite the low calories! I'll have to use them on days I have a huge lunch and need lighter calories for dinner but still want a huge meal. Or when I'm feeling binge-y. Here, I took a pic of the pack, the cooked pasta and my actual dinner (spaghetti and meatballs). It's a whole PLATE of pasta for 117 calories.

WywSmry.jpg

If you're wondering about taste/texture, it has a very mild taste somewhere between wholemeal pasta and rice noodles and the texture is about the same. It's very pasta-y and way more satisfying than konjac noodles.

Today's eats

Breakfast- Oats with a banana and PB2 (377)
Snack- Quinoa puffs and choc almond love bites (212)
Lunch- Homemade fish n chips with barramundi, 360g red potatoes w 7g butter (air fried), stramfresh veg and 15g tartare sauce (496)
Snack- Kombucha, lite jelly (39)
Dinner- beef, kale and carrot meatballs with homemade sauce from tinned tomatoes and 100g black bean pasta. Topped with 10g parmesan (397)

Totals 1521 calories, 134 carb, 58 fat, 100 protein

Kind of used the snacks to bring my totals up today, I liked eating like that. Made me not feel like I had to add random things to meals to up calories. So I think I might end up snacking some days and not on others, depending on how my meal calories work out (I log them all in the morning before eating so I have an idea of wiggle room the adjust at actual meal times).

Ooh, also got a bit of a healthy snack haul from Catch, which is an online retailer that picks up deleted items or items with only a few months left on their use by date. Great place to pick up random bits, I got some protein bites (a LOT, they were $10 down from $45 so I got 3 packs of 10 lol) and a pack of protein bars that were also pretty cheap. They'll probably all last me till the end of the year to be honest.

Your stats are amazing! My dream is to break the 30" waist barrier. You appear to have a lovely hourglass shape going on, good for you!!

Ah, the Joy of Snacks! Trying new foodstuffs is always fun. And no more blisters sounds like an excellent gift :)

ANY new exercise gear makes me jump up and down like it's Christmas. He knows me too well haha.

I am definitely going to try to find some of that black bean pasta.

The brand I bought is Slendier which is much less in calories than previous brands I've purchased, they're actually more known for their konjac noodles. I like these SO much better!

Oh thanks haha!! It felt like it took me forever to get below 30". My waist goal is 26" (66cm), I set my goal by looking up my fav clothing store here and stealing their standard size measurements for an Aus size 8. It's so handy having measurements to go on when the scales are being crappy!

Just a quick duck in- I stepped on the scales again today as I was feeling much less bloaty and was 62.3kg which is what I had projected myself to weigh yesterday, yay! Going to make that my official weight. Also means I'm more likely to lose 1.1-1.2kg this month sticking to 1600 so I should well and truly get to 61.3kg.

Today's foody bits

Breakfast (436)- protein pancakes (made 2 massive ones today instead of a bunch of small ones, not sure why haha) with 100g blueberries and 30g lemon butter (remember this being much more sour like lemon curd... pretty much tasted like I'd glazed my pancakes. Not a fan)
Snacks (218)- choc mint love bites, quinoa puffs
Lunch (397)- same as dinner last night
Snack (39)- light jelly, kombucha
Dinner (456)- mountain bread chicken sausage roll with 10g bbq sauce, La Zuppa chicken noodle soup

Totals 1546 calories, 131 carbs, 60 fat, 106 protein
