Yup. Snakes want to get away from you while magpies want you to get away from them. Different kettle of fish. Also magpie aggression is on the rise while I have heard no such thing about snakes.

Breakfast (502)- 2 lentil and beef sausages, 2 eggs, 2 pieces of toast

Snack (269)- cookie dough protein bar, BCAAs

Lunch (329)- pumpkin and sweet potato soup (the last of the fresh soups I bought), blueberry yopro, 2 rice cakes with 20g gherkin dip

Snack (107)- Quinoa puffs, light jelly, kombucha

Dinner (298)- super nature frozen meal

Totals 1505 calories, 130 carbs, 50 fat, 106 protein

Today was lots of random snacks things and instant stuff haha. Needed to get rid of the last of the fresh soups and I had to make room in the freezer so I had the frozen meal (I usually keep a couple to use just in case but don't really need them anymore so they're just taking up space).

High calorie day tomorrow, yay! Also have physio in the morning so I'm pretty much going to be doing an extra workout this week. Upped my walk to 45mins today and I'm still going ok. I start to get pain in between my shoulder blades toward the end but it goes away after sitting for 10mins when I get home. Think that's still a muscle endurance thing, usually starts up after grocery shopping too.

I think the rest of Ashs days off we will be playing Overcooked 2, the first one was an hilarious couch co-op game so I'm really looking forward to the second one.
 
Hope the physio goes well. I haven't played a game in ages, maybe I'll have a look to see if there's anything good on the App Store. My housemate has a Nintendo but he only has FIFA and Gears of War, neither of which interest me.

Breakfast (306)- 35g oats with 180g almond milk, 20g sugar free maple syrup, an egg, 12g peanut flour

Snack (14)- Light jelly

Lunch (1345)- Peanut butter crunch Haagen Dazs

Snack- (23) Kombucha

Dinner (397)- Beef stroganoff with black bean fettucine

Totals 2085 calories, 138 carb, 123 fat, 105 protein

The store didn't have the peanut butter ice-cream I wanted so I went with the HD... which was 400!!!! calories more than the one I'd planned and it had whole peanuts in it so it was incredibly difficult to eat with my braces lol. I think it was the longest lasting pint I've ever had. It kind of messed my day up a little because it meant I had to cut right back on my meals and snacks.

Physio was good, HARD. All my ab exercises are harder and a couple of my upper body exercises I do standing on the reformer now to engage stabilisers. It's really hard. Also physio made a comment that I think was his incredibly professional way of indirectly pointing out my weight loss. Can't remember how he phrased it but he asked me how I was feeling and he bet I was feeling a lot stronger had a fair amount of muscle now with all the exercises and hard work lol. My body has changed a heap in the last 4-ish months since I switched physio so it is pretty noticeable.

Had a lazy day otherwise, watched the last few episodes of Luke Cage with husband and then played Overcooked for a couple of hours. Would have played longer but he gets suuuuuper frustrated and rage quits pretty quickly. No plans for tomorrow as yet.

I am terrible with a lot of Nintendo games, I think mostly because they are platformers which I am mostly awful at hahaha. Neither of those games would interest me either!

Breakfast (454)- French toast with 10g butter

Snack (68)- cheesy quinoa puffs

Lunch (514)- Pizza. 2x mountain bread, 60g mozzarella, 1 vegetarian sausage, 100g Mediterranean veg mix, 40g tomato paste.

Snack (37)- light jelly and kombucha

Dinner (397)- leftovers, beef stroganoff with black bean spaghetti

Totals 1470 calories, 131 carb, 64 fat, 115 protein

Lazy day. Didn't do much, played a bit more Overcooked 2 and watched random bits n pieces.

Cheat meal next week will be Sat night for a friends birthday party at a Mexican restaurant.

End of another week! This weeks calorie average was 1597 so right on target (1600). For the next 2 weeks I'm aiming for a 1575 average.

No idea how tomorrows weigh in will go (still might have to weigh on Thurs too). Been pretty bloated and puffy today so I made sure to really keep up with my water.

Physio wanted me to think of another few goals to aim for so we have something to work towards. Since I'm getting much more able-bodied I think my goals will be just standard stuff that I used to be able to do without a second thought, like touch my toes (I can't even reach my ankles guys, used to be able to get my wrists on my toes/ hands almost flat on the floor). Also getting my walk up to an hour, and lastly maybe being able to do a push up. Currently even being in that position on my knees makes my very stiff spine hurt and I used to be able to bust out 3 or 4 sets of 15 on my toes soooo I feel in a weird way I've worked really hard for months and now I'm at a beginner exercise level lol.
 
62kg on the dot this morning, so 1/6 of the way there now. YAY! I was considering weighing in again tomorrow but instead grabbed the tape measure and I've lost another 1cm off both my waist and my thighs so I don't think I'll bother. I was expecting weight to be a bit weird anyway, just means I'll likely have a whoosh at some stage. I just want to be in the 61s already!

Lunch (400)- sandwich with 70g smoked salmon, 1 Bega lite cheese single, tomatoes, lettuce, 10g garlic dressing and a slim secrets protein pud in strawberry

Dinner (454)- 170g Mediterranean veg mix, 1 tomato, 125g lean beef mince, half a cup of cooked brown rice, 20g parmesan

Totals 1482 calories, 87 carb, 64 fat, 116 protein

Was totally going to cook curried mince for dinner but realised I was short on a necessary ingredient and didn't have much rice left so threw together something random instead. Planned to have twice as much rice actually which is why my carbs accidentally ended up much lower than usual, I try to avoid doing that as it can be a binge trigger for me. I'll be fine for tonight but got to be conscious of that tomorrow. Also had the protein pud st lunch as I thought I'd be low on protein without it but the dinner change brought it all the way up anyway lol.

Not much happening here really, super boring couple of days. Going out tomorrow after Ash gets home from work to grab a birthday present for a friend as I'm going to her birthday shindig on Saturday night.

Lower back has been annoying me today, its muscular but I can't get the offending muscle to release itself no matter what I do. I got frustrated and just rested in bed for a couple of hours and its actually a lot better now but still annoying. I think maybe because I did train upper body this morning and my ab stuff is pretty hard now and I think my core was suddenly too fatigued to support myself properly? It was a similar weak feeling in my back after doing a bunch of heavy deadlifts back in the day lol.

Going shopping for a birthday present tonight for Saturday, think it'll be something simple like chocolate and perfume. Going to be weird going out at night (even just for dinner) in the tourist/clubbing area here. I used try to avoid it as its pretty mental and people are sleazy lol. I only know the birthday girl so it'll be nice meeting some new people.
 
I saw Kombucha for sale in my local shop last night, I didn't know you could get it here. It was in the expensive fridge so I didn't purchase any though.

Hope you enjoy your night out anyway, the gift sounds perfect.
 
Hope you had fun! Keeping the balance between exercising enough to reach your goals and resting enough to stay fit never really stops being a challenge for most people
 
Whoops, didn't mean to disappear for a few days!! Kinda had a bad food day then several busy-ish ones and checking in just became a low priority lol.

Friday- Ate a lot on Friday. Unplanned, just a straight up binge. I was tired and cranky and my back was giving me shit. Ate around 4000 calories.

Saturday- Went to my friends birthday dinner, it was so fun and nice to meet some new people. Ended up eating a whole heap again, but it's whatever. Ended up doing a heap of walking too to get from the hotel they were spending the night (they were going clubbing) to the restaurant. Did nearly 10k steps actually. Ate around 2500-2600 calories. Also, my walks went up to 50mins!

Sunday- Husbands day off. We didn't really do much, we were both tired and in a meh kind of mood. Finished playing overcooked, hung out at home. Ate 1495 calories.

Monday- Husbands day off. We both slept in (think we both needed it, was sooo nice!) I did Pilates and then we went for a drive and on a scenic walk around a lake, it was AMAZING. Took about 45mins, then we went and got coffees and strolled through Aldi (as you do) to get my extra 5mins of activity and pick up a couple of frozen vege mixes. Ate 1527 calories.

Todaaaaaaaaaaay- End of the week. Kinda just getting back into feeling normal again, still bloated from my big food days. Obviously wasn't my greatest work, intake average for the week is 1984... 00ps.... about 100 calories over my maintenance average which is overall only a 100g gain so really not concerned. Gunna crush it next week.
 
I like how averaging your calories out over the week let´s you keep track of the bigger picture instead of freaking out and stuffing your face forever. I should probably try that.

It's great, it means I can 'save' calories for my higher calorie day. It (usually) makes me much less likely to binge if I know I have a decent treat coming up.

You'll fix it next week, Lucy. It sounds like there was some quality time there.

Weighed in at 62.2kg, actually thought it would be a lot worse as I'm still super fluid-y. I can usually tell as the areas I gain weight first get 'squishy' when I'm retaining fluid (boobs and love handles usually, so currently busting over my bra and mini muffin in my leggings lol). Kinda tempted to weigh in again tomorrow, I'll see how I feel in the morning (projected weight is 61.8kgs).

Going to make sure to check in every day and keep up with my visual food diary. This will be a good week!
