Hey guys,

So I'm trying to get back on the wagon. I was here last year, and lost a little weight up til christmas...then I haven't lost any since then. I've been half trying, but I've been hovering around 70-72kg for MONTHS.
I'm 5'5, so at the moment my bmi is around 26- not too unhealthy.
My goal is 65kg, this will give me a bmi around 23 and I'll work out where to go from there.

Its not that urgent...but I am shopping around for wedding dresses at the moment, so it would be nice to lose some weight. The wedding is next April. Other reasons I want to lose weight are to make my thighs stop rubbing against each other, to get a belly button piercing, get rid of the saddle bags on my arms.

At the moment, I go to the gym around 3 times a week for an hr (not enough probably) and do kung fu twice a week (1.5hrs each lesson).
Food- I try to stick to 1600 cals a day, but I should look more at logging it exactly.

Anyways...lets lose this weight!

Hey I've started posting on this bored again too. Seems like we both got into a bit of a rut.

Maintain and tone up cause I feel a bit 'mushy' now lol.

Arg, I just added yesterdays cals up...and I went WAAYY over. I was probably at 1700 BEFORE dinner. Yesterday I just couldn't eat right, and I knew that I was eating like crap at the time too.

Anyways.
Todays food will be:
Breaky- Yogurt, all bran, muesli and protein powder. With coffee- 614 cals
Snack- Banana-90 cals
Lunch- Salad with tuna- 255cals
Dinner- Leftovers. Cals left- 640.

Kung fu tonight!
 
Yesterday went well, around 1600-1700 cals, right protein and fibre amounts :)
Also got to the gym when I didn't expect to.

Todays going ok, my plan for food is going ok, but one of my students gave me chocolate today :( Mmm chocolate. I'll get to the gym very soon though, and I'll save some of the chocolate for tomorrow :)
 
SO I ended up giving the rest of my chocolate to my fiance instead. Probably a good move!

Friday and saturdays food was pretty bad, today is a new day though, with a new gym program! And school holidays...so time to get my butt moving :)
 
Todays food was ok ish- I was thinking I wouldn't post it, but now I think I will. I didn't want to post it cause it is too high in carbs and mindless food and not enough vegies/protein.
So here it is:
Breaky- Yogurt with protein powder, all bran and muesli. 380 cals
Coffee- 140 cals
Snack- homemade scones. 300cals
Lunch- Cous cous. Plain? I don't know why I ate only cous cous. 300 cals
Snack- Sultanas, hot chocolate. 250cals
Dinner- Indian. 450 cals.
Total- 1770. This is rough, so probably could go up to 1850. A little high, but the bigger problem is where the cals came from. Guess its high because I didn't eat enough protein instead of lots of carbs.

Exercise- gym for 1hr15mins, kung fu tonight.

Soo...today I bought my wedding dress! (or paid a deposit at least!!)
I had a couple of measurements done, and next week theres a fitting. Pity I couldn't get down to 65kg for the fitting, but she said that if I lost weight to give her a call and they would make some alterations.
But still very excited about it!
Need to start losing weight again.
I will have to start posting exactly how much I eat I think to guilt me into not having many snacks.
But we'll see how it goes!

Snack:

Chicken 50g (82)
Lettuce 1cup (8)
Tomato 1/2 cup(11)

Feta 50g (132)
Carrot rough 100g (41)
Total cals: 288cals

Snack:
Apple (72)
Protein shake (127)

Dinner- Curry:
Cauliflower 1 cup (25)
Chicken 100g (164)
Peas 1 serving=30g? (48)
Oil 1tbs (120)
Chappati: (196)
Lots of spices

After dinner:
Orange juice (67)

Total cals today: 1642, 32.9g fibre, 112.5g protein.

Got to the gym today :)
I'm going to take a few pics now of my arms, tummy and maybe my thighs so I can get an idea of if I'm losing weight :)

This one is a little harder to calculate, firstly because I don't know the quantity of meat I'm having and second because its harder to work out the calories of the meat. I know how much of each ingredient I added, but I'm not sure how many serves the soup does yet!
Best I could find was 50g of meat is roughly 85-100 cals.
Meat: 85cals
Split peas 50g (157) again, this is assuming I eat 50g of peas
Carrot 20g? (8)
Celery 1/2 stick maybe? (3)
Onion (11)

After dinner: Hot chocolate 125ml (100cals)

Total cals:
Roughly 1500, 30g fibre, 94.6g protein.

When I first added it up, I didn't have the orange juice or hot chocolate in there, and was up to around 1250 so I boosted it with sweet things!
There is still an extra 100 cals but I figure if the meat has more cals than I think or other things then its a buffer for now.

Hey just finished reading your journal and I tought I would say welcome back!!! Wow you are working out a lot...I have to step up my workouts!!! You are doing great I am sure you will start having results in no time!!! Love the wedding dress!!!!
 
Hey guys, thanks so much for stopping in! And for the comments about the wedding dress, i love it! I HAVE to lose this weight, but I do have until april next year. But that sort of thinking probably made me stop losing weight over the last 6months.

As a note, fitday always says I'm lacking iron by about 6mg a day. Might have to fix that.

Also, if you notice anything wrong with the calories and they seem off or too low, let me know! I only go by what fitday says or the nutritional info on the packets.
 
Hey Lozza, just here to give ya some support and gratz on the wedding. I looked up some of your calories ie. bacon, carrot, potato and at first thought they might be low, but they look pretty reasonable after doing some research and some of the mathematics.

very nice job, you even listed the weight for each items congrats. Just wondering how much water do you get in your diet?
