Lou's manly diary of manliness

Sooo.... redhead how are things going still? Looks like you're doin pretty good but I guess we'll see now won't we....

Muahahahaha...

Lou have you fallen off the wagon! I'd be really sad if that was the case... I'm 4 lbs down as of today! Its taken long enough but I want it to stay off.

Post an update! I'm going to start working harder to shed those next 6 so hopefully we'll be in it together!

Hey Guys its been a long time since I posted (Sept 2010!) I am about to go to bed, but I thought I would write one more message before doing that.

For anyone that was keeping up with this diary I did fall off the wagon :( I went up to my original size of 220 pounds plus FOUR POUNDS! But I am not too worried I am suprised I kept it off for that long I just got lazy and embarrassed of not posting for a week I eventually stopped writing and never picked up the diary again.

So it is now history and time to take another stab at changing my lifestyle. I am now working night shift in a grocery store so the challenge will be double not to eat the entire store clean and the temptation I have been submitting to when I binge eat when I get home. I am going to go make my lunch for tomorrow and will let you know of the result tomorrow morning.

PS Angel Wings: I swung by your forum to see your progress and it is amazing it helped me motivate me to give this another shot. THERE IS NO WAY I AM DITCHING THIS DIET NOW!

Hope everyone progress comes along, Cheers eh.

Congratulations on jumping back on! Reading your calorie counts make me feel like there is a good possibility I am way beneath as well. I hope all goes well and look forward to hearing your progress!

GINGER!!!!!!

Good to see you back.. funny I'm falling of the wagon for the last week, but today I'm gonna get some kickbutt exercise.. and its not so bad. I've been maintaining pretty darn well for not working out as much as I should.

Glad to see you back. Guess the way I see it is a lifestyle change, so falling off and gettin on again is all part of the program

Hey thanks for the welcome back I should fall off the wagon more often ;)

I woke up with a prepared breakfast/lunch/Supper. Instead I forget my bag of food and my wallet so I used the change in my pocket pretty much.

2 oranges: 80 cal
4 egg rolls: 600 cal
1/4cup diet coke: ??? cal

1 cup of rice: 267 cal
Pork chops: 400 cal
TOTAL: 1547 cal

Pretty lazy morning today I didnt have much to do besides cooking up this meal and a friend dropping by so it was pretty relaxing. Working tomorrow and looking forward to it for once for the sole reason of the amount of exercise involved.

Thanks everyone for checking in, see ya eh.

O.k today's diet may look a little weird, but it is because I have been up all day and will be up all night so I am going for a 26+ hour period with no sleep. This is probably not the best thing to do for my metabolism, but I have spread my meals throughout the day.

That is actually an interesting question right there. Anyone know the effect of staying awake for long periods of time on the body? Or more relative to my diet I should say.

Thanks angel I appreciate it.

well I found out something new today. Neilson chocolate milk has A LOT of calories. I am glad I found this out because normally at work it has been a tradition to pick up a 1L carton of the stuff. I think I am going to substitute that ritual for something a bit less!

Hey sorry for not writing in a while I have been a bit busy I could of sworn I wrote the others down... ah well I am kind of depressed anyways about some plants im growing.

Basically I have been growing my first batch of 72 tobacco plants in this massive tray. I like to put them outside when the weather is nice to let them soak up some real sunshine.

Well I asked my brother if he could do me a favor at around 2:00pm if he could bring them inside for me. He told me yes, but it rained REALLY heavy that day and he didnt find out in time before they had been completley soaked. I have emptied as much water as I could, but I cant find out a way to empty the rest. so the plants are looking a little ill they have definetly shrivled a bit and had me worried. It would suck if they were to die I was looking forward to a big batch of the stuff. ah well easy comes easy goes and only time will tell.

April 10-11-2011 (Two days never slept
Meal Plan:
chicken pesto pasta: 480g=
Apple juice 500ml= 200 cal
Smoothie 100% fruits340ml= 420 cal
Diablo chicken subway= 500 cal

TOTAL= 1600
not bad considering I stayed up all night for two days straight I think

another 27 hours with no sleep and this time I am almost positive I busted which sucks, but the good news is I lost 2 pounds.

I also think I found a kick ass way of feeling full as well. So basically I find I munch on fruits once in a while and I should be eating more of them. So after work I picked up a bag of green grapes and 4 pounds of strawberry's and a couple of bananas. 1 banana, 4 strawberry (monster ones) and 10 grapes. I blend all the ingredients together to make a kick ass smoothie that taste pretty damn good I think. Tried one today and I only ate the rest as not to waste any food.

Anyways all is good the plants are picking up it seems and that bummer about busting is just another bump in the road.

I think I may also have my meal plans worked out to a constant basis so I wont have the issue of overeating. I will give it a shot then see how it goes.

Oooh me gosh.. That sounds like the yummiest but healthiest thing ever. My BF just showed me how to make fruit smoothies with yogurt, thats good too, but if you don't get the right yogurt it can have TONS of calories.

I'm so glad to see you back, I love your diary, it makes me smile every time I read it, really brightens my day.

I've been pretty much maintaining, but need to get on the wagon till I'm down to my ideal weight!

Haven't written for a while, but lets see whats going on. I am a little disappointed I have only lost 4 pounds so far since I picked up the diary again. I know last time my food intake was too low, but I am thinking of taking that up again for the simple reason that I know I was losing the weight then.

I am also thinking I will be joining a gym soon. I don't particularly care to jog, but swimming has always been a favorite and as well as weight lifting. The new gym I was talking about has recently opened I think I am going to swing by it today if I cant find all the info I need. The price is what I am worried about. If I buy a monthly pass your damn well sure I am going to use the thing especially if it has a pool for Canadian summers.

-Angelwings: Aw, thanks angel your going to make me tear up inside lol. Well you maintaining might give me a chance to catch up. Just remember to keep a close watch on maintaining you wouldn't want to slip into any previous bad habits you worked so hard to avoid eh. Good luck i'm rooting for ya:biggrinjester:

Y/w ginger... you know what tho? it takes the same skills to loose 4 pounds as 40, if you keep goin' the weight will come off.

Don't get discouraged though because you know if you starve yourself, it will wreck your metabolism and you'll gain it all back like never before!

Gyms can be great, the first month is always the best, though :)

Thanks for the support angel it is always welcome. I also have some good news for the last three days I have gotten over my cravings for food. So far my house has been flooded with pizzas and Chinese take-out. Now I admit I have been grabbing a slice or two, but that is it. I am taking water in and I am finding that I don't crave food simply because I lay my eyes on it whenever I pass the kitchen. So the weight loss hasn't really been happening too fast I have only lost a measly 1 pounds, but I can say that now I have my eating under control I am making healthier changes to my diet.

For example yesterday I had a handful of plain Tostitos, wild deer steak with homemade sauce, two grapefruits, and a slice of all vegetarian pizza with light tomato sauce and cheese. Today I grabbed a slice of pizza from the fridge and so far it is the only thing I have eaten. For lunch I am going to make something light I am thinking of munching on some carrots or maybe making one of those smoothies. Then for supper I am going to wait till my lunch break at work and pick up a Healthy Choice which has 280 calories per serving and is delicious.'

short version of this is not much weight loss (yet), but in the long run I feel I am taking a healthier approach to a longer lasting lifestyle that will be sustainable towards controlling my weight. Healthy lifestyle NOT diet.

Cheers guys, summer is here- Louis

Summer is here?! No way..

Louis.. hah.. I was starting to think your name was Ginger :p

Good job. You know lifestyle change is so undramatic its like watching bread bake. Boring, right? But it works for good.

I went on a hike O' death (2000 foot climb) we had to rest like every 5-10 minutes it was so lame! They took some pics of me and when I looked at them I was like WOA FAAAT.

I have lost about 15 lbs, which I am totally rocking happy with.. but now I'm seeing that if I'm gonna get to my goal I'm gonna have to keep trucking and do a little more then maintaining. I also want to be the one to kick butt when hiking up mountains instead of wheezing like a pug.

Good luck and look forward to your updates (like usual)

hello, haven't written in a while my modem died *sniffle* But now I have a shiny new modem and things have been going pretty well. Still no major weight loss, but I am down 5 pounds, the plants are blooming, and I can't complain.

Hike O' death, lol. Made my day.
