Hey guys , I just joined and saw this before and after section soo thought id post some pics of me!......

I started my journey Jan 07 , I weighed in @ 135kg's = 300 pounds , I am now sitting @ 85 kg's a weight loss of 50kg's = 110pounds!

My journey started in a boxing gym , my sister begged me to go with her one day , and I did , and i really enjoyed the boxing (relieves stress!)......

anyways , here my pics , do you guys think ill beable to get a 6 pack? and if soo , will I have to worry about loose skin? , im not sure if I do have loose skin , but my skin is kind of stretchy , but it doesent sag atall (yet , still got like 5kg's to lose , should be done in about 2 months , will update pics) I only started taking pictures after I had lost the majority of my weight , plz tell me what ya think guys! my latest pic is of July 08!

Im currently 20 years old , turning 21 next year!

enjoy!

Nice you lost alot of weight! How many years did it take for you to finally reach your goal? What was your consistent diet plan if you had any? Did you just do pure cardio workout or did you lift weights as well??

ur going to need to build your back up and chest in order to pull ur skin back and get rid of the tire look...

abs take time

Heres how it went , initially I just did pure cardio , no change in diet , once I lost like 10kg's , I went on a diet , oats + 4 egg whites for beakfast , 3 hours later a protein shake , 1 cup rice _ 1 tin of tuna for lunch , 3 hours later protein shake , 1/2 tub cottage cheese , 2 rye vita's for supper.....

my body fat has been measured and its @ 14%...............from 55%

I have started doing weights for the past 3 weeks with a personal trainer , but I mainly was doing boxing for the most part , I trained for 4x a week for an hour , intense cardio , now im going boxing 2x a week and weights 3x a week , my abs i think are pretty strong , i can do like 200 situps no problem without resting becuase of boxing.....

it took me to loose the 50kg/s about 1 year , now i need to really get ripped , soo ill post pics once a month!

does it looks like i have loose skin?...is their any method to actually tell?

thanks for the advice

peace

You don't look like you have loose skin. You actually look really really good for losing so much weight, I'm impressed!!

Congrats hon, you look wonderful!!

Just be patient, is my advice to you. Out of personal experience, I would suggest perhaps getting a gym membership. Once the initial weight is lost, it's always a good idea to try and tone your body. I'm currently in the 'toning' stage, and it's honestly working. My saving grace is a Bowflex homegym. It's working miracles on my body and I can feel myself getting stronger everytime I use it.

I don't yet have a six pack, but I know if I remain patient, perhaps I will one day. I lost 140+ pounds so getting a six pack after only eight weeks isn't really probable. Realistically is always the best way to think. You can't get 'abs now' but you can work your way to a six pack today. All good things take time, it would seem.

Congrats again, bud!!!

Hey guys

Ok ....promised to update a year later...overshot it a bit...but anyways...

Here are updated pics...HONESTLY...one year down the line and i cannot see that big a difference?

the pictures without my shirt on were all taken in October 09.

you can see the pic of me in the black shirt with other people, that was sometime in Jan 07 (last picture on the far right)my weight was about 135kg/s at that time.

The Solo picture of me was done about 6 months ago if i remember correctly...this picture is third from the left

My weight right now has gone up a bit to 90KG/s......soo will post when im back down to 85kg/s from my first post a year ago, maybe then ill beable to see a big difference!

To test if you have loose skin - do a plank. Is your stomach flat or is there skin that hangs down? If anything is hanging chances are it's loose skin.

ye...then i have quit a bit of loose skin....(I think...can you explain how to do a plank? just to be sure im doing it correctly)

where on this site can I get info about a tummy tuck?

here is how I want to look like in 3 years time.....Note : This is a photoshopped image...but good for inspiration nonetheless!:)

Remarkable job you have done - and even more so that you are still fit a year later.

Yeah, you still have some loose skin, but it looks fine. Loose skin from rapid and extreme (60kg is a lot of weight to lose) weight loss can take up to two years to tighten up completely. And even then it may not be total - there are limits.
Just keep on working out like you clearly are. Nothing works as well as lots of strength training for tightening skin.

Congrats on the weight loss, and keeping it off.

Defiantly keep exercising and working out.. but don't focus too much attention to the loose skin! You are way healthier now! Loose skin is the price we(I too was 300) pay for getting above 300 lbs. Now you lead a healthy life style, keep improving it.

ye I know...its a heavy damn price and not FAIR!!.....

Has anyone here , lost a similar amount of weight as me , and have a similar build...AND has had a tummy tuck? if yes...i would really like to see the results...as im considering it....but still dont think it is neccesary....but maybe ill change my mind

like someone else said.. Work your upper body and the skin will get pulled up and back. Good job! Could have done without the whitey tighty shot tho.

Judging by the pictures, you might not need a tummy tuck. Lose the rest of the fat and get a strength training program going. You might be ok. Some skin eventually will stretch back, some won't. Everyone is different. Regardless, you wouldn't want to get an operation before you lose the weight to begin with.

There are people who lose half their weight and say they have no loose skin (or stretch marks) some people get loose skin with just a little weight gain. Everyone is different.

Ive heard people say that up to a year after they lose weight their skin was still coming back to normal shape. I dont know if they were doing some bulking up and thats why or what. Most information on loose skin is very very questionable. So read everything wtih a skeptical attitude. Any cream or pill that claims it can reduce loose skin is a scam.
