Hahahahaha
Ranbow I totally stuffed it up last night!!!! Yep, I figure those social situations are the hardest, but they are the ones that I feel most proud about afterwards. PLUS I have this issue with the public/private eating thing (though not too bad anymore) where I assume if I eat pizza like everyone else, people will look at me and think 'Now, SHE doesn't need to be eating pizza...' which I know is totally crap. BUT this is getting better and I don't worry so much about other people any more.
SO last night - off the wagon I fell. For starters my day had been pretty tough - I have been very very unmotivated with my learning of German, and my exercising hasn't been so good. This is pretty much because my allergies have been
so horrific. I'm trying out some new medication - maybe that is why I'm feeling so totally CRAPOLA. I can't even begin to explain how bad it has been.
We went out for a poker night with a bunch of people we met through couch-surfing. It was SO COOL - One guy had managed to make friends with a lovely old man who let us play poker on his roftop, with the most incredible view of the city, the lake the mountains... the sunset... and then he brought us a bottle of whiskey to 'let the young ones live a little' hahaha. So I got drunk, ate too many bad snacks, and WON POKER! I love it! I was the only girl there, 12 men, and I WHOOPED their butts! Now I am $300 better for it! hehe. Going to have to do something nice for myself...
I should have brought something healthy for me to snack on instead.... something to learn for next time.
Breakfast:
- Soy latte and low fat blueberry muffin (yeah yeah...I know it... set me off to a bad start)
Lunch:
- Chicken cooked with ginger, lemon and tomato, served with green beans and a little cous cous
Snack: (met with a friend and lost all willpower)
- Soy latte and a small chocolate brownie
Dinner:
-spinach tortellini with garlic, fresh herbs and olive oil
Snack / Poker:
- 2 fun-size bounties, a couple of M&Ms, a handful of pringles, 4 jaffa biscuits
- 2 glasses of wine and STACKS of whiskey. mmmm whiskey....

Meanwhile, Hubby and I had another mini baby-chat last night. It's nice to know that we always seem to be on the same page. We'll wait a little while until we are more settled here, until we know how this all the little things in this country work (ok, not all, but more than we do now!) and until we both feel totally ready. One weird thing that occurred to me is that I STILL don't know how to ski. I injured myself in my first every snowboarding lesson last winter here, so I couldn't do anything else. Part of me is considering holding off on the attempted baby-making until after the next winter, so I can give that a try

It's weird for me to be living in the Swiss Alps and have no freaking idea how to ski or snowboard...
