Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

Great look for you Vee, I like the tie too! And the best thing about hotel room bathrooms is that you don't have to clean them! Hope you enjoyed your trip :)

Thanks for the compliments guys. I wish trip week was better suited to my diet.

189 this morning, which considering what a disaster my trip week was I'll take. Got basketball a little later today.

Trying to get out of here earlyish this morning to walk to the store and buy milk. I wait too long and I don't think the milk makes it back to my fridge in time. Will probably buy some sort of frozen item to stack on top of it. Need eggs as well. And obviously this nonsense means I need a car...

I hope that frozen item wasn't a gallon of ice cream...lol
I too had a caloric weekend but back on track now. Just do what you do Vee. You have proven it works!

You should look into car sharing. I imagine there is at least one company doing that in Phoenix. It would help you get by until you find a car or you might even decide you don't need one.

Hearing about the heat where you are (& Q) is starting to make me feel better about our Winter here, which is usually quite mild. I'm glad we don't get extreme weather conditions. Visiting my sister in Baltimore I got to see some wild storms in the Summer & could hardly believe that pavements(footpaths in Aus) had to be rebuilt after freezing in Winter. Just getting around was so hard & I wasn't there in the middle of either Summer or Winter on any of my trips. Crazy!
Brawny made me laugh re hoping the frozen item wasn't ice-cream!
I hope you can see & like how good you are looking V. That suit looks great! Cheers, Cate

Thanks for dropping by my thread my careless friend. Do you have a bike? You might have mentioned that earlier in your thread. We live 5 miles from town and my sons (fit young beasts) frequently bike to town. It would increase your range of excursion.

185.5 this morning. Been a few months of doing well and then undoing damage caused by staying away from home (at my parents or in Chicago). Once again I'm back at the point where I'm roughly at my low weight.

Renting a car tomorrow and may just bite the bullet and buy new. To do a good job of buying used you have to be patient and without a means of transportation and it being 100 degrees every day, patience is a little in short supply right now.

I have to figure out a way to control myself when at my parents house. There tends to be food everywhere and limitless amounts of it, usually sitting out to tempt you every time you walk by. As always with me, it's not so much what I'm eating but the amount of it that gets me in trouble.

My parents house is usually a minefield too. Fortunately it is garden season and my father is excited about my limitless appetite for the fresh garden veggies and that makes life easier. My mother is a different story. Last time I was there she made or put out all 3 foods that I told her I primarily quit because I had trouble resisting them. My diet is all on me, but she sure doesn't help. You'd think with her recent diabetes diagnosis that she'd want better for me. Good luck with that Vee!

I love the bit in your biography about the race track. I once sang on the stage at La Scala.I can't sing and couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. One of the waiters at our hotel, had a brother who was a cleaner there and he let my friends and I in through the back door when the cleaners were in. We gave 'em a couple of Rugby songs

I think I want to send my parents a postcard today to thank them for their support any time I´m at home... But you´ll get on top of it, you´ve come too far to let everyday life get in the way!

Yeah the key thing is that it's not their responsibility to keep me from overeating, it's mine. I just have to do a better job.

184 this morning. Renting a car again today, partially for the purpose of going out and looking for cars of my own. May break down and just go buy a new one. It'd be less nerve wracking if I hadn't just lost a client but I have to have a vehicle.

184 :D Good luck on the car hunting V. It's a horrible, but necessary task. We'll have to do the same when we get some money as only having one car is difficult when you live well out of town. This Wed I'll have to be dropped off at golf 2.5hrs early as my LH is going to play golf elsewhere. Either that or I don't play :( & I need to. Hope you find a good one! Cheers, Cate.

You've got the right attitude for dealing with food at the parents. You'll find your way with that. Good luck with the car search. Nice work on 184!

My parents seem to delight in making tempting dishes when I am there too! Hope you have had some luck with finding a car. It has been around 100 degrees here too, no fun to be walking in that kind of weather!

Great job on 184!

186 this morning and I'm visiting the parents today in MY NEW CAR!

Anyway I'll try and behave myself while we watch the soccer/football/calcio game.

Let's all guess what car Vee got! Mmmmm let's see he is much skinnier so a compact is a possibility but he is a tall fellow....I guess one of those cars the hamsters drive on the commercial! Cool yet not really really cramped.
