Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

GRRRR! That usually means a good drop is about to follow with you so tomorrow will be the day I reckon!

I agree with Cate. Usually about the time I try to muster some empathy for your jump in weight you have a big drop. Your body likes a little drama. I hope it's soon buddy!

202.5 again this morning.

To make things worse, I have to send in the last of my 2013 quarterly taxes today. Who needs money anyway...

So glad I didn't miss you breaking into the 100's! (though I'm sure you wish it had come and gone already!). Your profile pic is INSANE! Hokey Smokes!! You have just done so great on your journey!

202 this morning.

I suppose the good news is that if I start out at 375 and the first time I really get stuck is at 202, then I'm way ahead of the game.

But I still don't like being stuck. Going to cut my calories just a little to 2000 and see how that goes.

So, I've read a little of your diary and all I have to say is this...

Dude, you HAVE lost an extra human. Daaaaamn!!! Good job, man. That's ridiculously awesome. Seriously...awesome.

And, don't be bummed about being "stuck" around 201-202 and not breaking the barrier to the 100's. Look at the bright side...maybe you just have to take a big poop?

That's where I hit my wall too MrVee. It took some time, but I eventually got through that barrier. I know that you know you will too so just keep at it and try not to let it get to you. :)

Well let's hope so. Though it's a little odd to be back where I was as a toddler: being proud of bowel movements. I thought I'd have to be at least 75 before I'd get there again.

Anyhow, you a fellow Chicago native? Grew up on the NW side of the city myself.

Not a native Chicagoan. I grew up in Cleveland and moved to Chicago a few years back to attend culinary school. I lived there for 3 years - Wrigleyville (well, Buena Park is more accurate) and then Lincoln Square. I don't live there anymore though. Michigan is my home now. Although, nothing will ever compare to the Windy City. I had the time of my life there. I also got really FAT there, so...yeah, HAHAHA...maybe it's a good thing I don't live there anymore.

202 this morning.

For some reason I think I'm about to bust this plateau and get under 200 pounds. No actual evidence of it, just a gut feeling.

Chef, I lived in the Lincoln Square area for several years myself: Damen and Montrose to be exact. Apparently the neighborhood has improved some since then. Also Chicago is definitely a city in which getting fat is way too easy.

Near the Brown line? When I lived in Lincoln Square it was on Lincoln Ave. on the north end of the neighborhood. Although, I hung out mostly near Wrigleyville which is where I worked for most of my stay there. I don't know if you ever went to a restaurant called Deleece, but that was where I earned by stripes in the restaurant business. I worked at a few other places; don't know if you know of them or have ever been, but 312, Prosecco, the Park Grill and a few others.

And, everyone hits a plateau at some point. I don't really look at it as a negative though. I try to look at it positively and say to myself, "I'm only staying at this weight because my body needs a rest. It's fought hard as hell to get me here, but now I just need to be patient and give it a rest."

Well, looks like I could be waiting a while to break 200 pounds. Went up for a jump shot today and a guy got over aggressuve trying to close down the shot. I did hit the three pointer but then he had slid his foot underneath me:

My right foot landed on his left and I twisted my ankle something fierce. Took me about two minutes to limp home the block and a half to my house. Have been limping around all night. Iced it. We'll see how it feels tomorrow morning. The ankle doesn't seem so bad, but I'm also getting a weird pain in my arch as well.

So I look to be out of commission exercise wise at least for tomorrow and potentially a lot longer if I have to go to the doctor tomorrow. Considering I've been stalled out as much as I've been exercising, being unable to work out might really put the brakes on things...

That stinks man! You heal quicker than you used to now that you are so much healthier and hopefully it isn't to bad of a sprain. Having to hobble home on it must have been awful. Stay off it, keep icing it, and take alleve or advil. Heal quick buddy!

Oh man, sprains are awful. I had one that I couldn't walk on for a week, but even when I could it was about a month before I could exercise on it. See a physio, they can be pretty magic at reducing swelling n stuff.
