Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

The day after Christmas, and amazingly the scale this morning now says 302.5. Model has 303.5.

I have leftovers from the big day yesterday, but I've generally been pretty good with doling out my food in an organized fashion and not just going to town on stuff just because it's there to be eaten. I made some definitely not low-fat potatoes Au-Gratin for the Christmas feast yesterday that turned out quite well. Of course cover something in Gruyere cheese and heavy cream and it does tend to taste pretty good.

Luz, I think the first celebration will definitely be running through my neighborhood screaming "YES!!" There's not much that can be done to prevent that. There will also be, at some point in the next couple of days after, a planned consumption of a Monte Cristo sandwich, the king of all sandwiches. As for celebrations on here, I'll think of something immature and undignified to do.

Finally Luz, if you're still looking for a new title to your new diary, you could try "losing weight to fit into my Nazi dress." I'm sure you'll get lots of visitors, though you might not like what they have to say to you. People can be so judgmental sometimes. :D

So under two weeks. At this point pretty much one unusually low day would do it. The model has a 95% tolerance of roughly 2.5 pounds in either direction. So Saturday will be under that number which we'll just call the "margin of error" to keep it simple.

As much as I'm going to righteously celebrate, there will be a lot more work to do. I have no desire to weigh 295 pounds forever either.
 
YUM they look sooo good! For Christmas I drowned a heap of potatoes in butter and garlic and roasted them... My first bit of dairy! Many cold buttery leftover potatoes were consumed yesterday. NOM.

Haha don't think I'll start a diary with the word 'Nazi' in the title...
 
I could make them tonight if I felt the need (I still have some potatoes left over). But with the heavy cream and the half pound of cheese, that probably would be a few too many calories. The recipe:

Anyhow, 301 on the scale this morning. That's way low and probably enough to adjust the model downward slightly. Model weight still 303.1. For a visual representation of how close I am:

That's how close I am. Still it's a little early so I expect to hover around here for the next week or so. That's been the general rule when I drop quicker than I'm supposed to. It might be a little hard showing patience given the roundness of the number 300, but then that's just a number. It's 136.0776 kg which isn't any sort of benchmark I'm aware of.
 
Just got back from the health club and also a trip to the bathroom. So I took off every stitch of clothing (I usually weigh myself in my sleep clothes) and hopped back on. It's like 300.1 or something. It's also lunch time. OH SO CLOSE!

So should I go for it and start trying to do random things to sweat water off, or should I eat lunch?
 
Oh I'm going to eat lunch, I'm just trying to decide whether to wait an hour and head back to the treadmill first.

I'm a little surprised at how good this feels. Rest easy, I've been drinking water since hopping off the scale so I'm back over 300 again, but still...

Thanks a lot for all the support here. I still have at least 100 pounds more to lose and am not going anywhere (sorry to get your hopes up), but emotionally this was a really big one for me, so I felt I had to do it today (played basketball) once it was within grasp.

Well after yesterday's excitement and barrier breaking shenanigans, it's back to the more regularly scheduled morning PJ weigh-ins, and we'll call it 301 again this morning (300.5 is a touch too light and 301 is a touch too heavy). The model hasn't quite caught up yet at 302.3.

Personal training and then golf today, so this is going to be two days of heavy exercise. Looks like it's going to be a little cold on the golf course.

Back from a Friday night at the bar, but since I was driving I was a good boy. Had a few and then drank diet sodas for three hours. I'm guessing I'm going to hover at 301 for a bit. My model has been pretty good and I'm a good bit under lately so it should catch up.
