Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

A new low this morning: 285!

Only 10 more pounds to go before 100.

That is a freakin' GREAT accomplishment, MrVee. You're an inspiration!
The day I moved to Tempe to attend ASU, it was 117 degrees. Dear God, I thought I was going to melt. A month later, at the start of monsoon season, it was 110+ degrees and it started to lightly rain... the humidity jumped to 100% and I started sweating like I was in a prison hotbox. But I did like my time there and learned to love the early Summer dry heat.

Nobody is ever pale in Arizona, huh?

I'm excited the weather is getting warmer though, in oh sun shine california.

Good job on another low!!! How do you not relapse??? I'm so amazed and impressed!

MrVee, I just found the other pages on the excel spreadsheet. I am in heaven! I added a page for my meal planning. I feel successful this time around and I have to account a percent or two to you.

Thank you for sharing this spreadsheet!

285 again this morning.

Ordered up a pizza for the first time in 7 and a half months yesterday as I sort of got busy and failed to plan adequately for dinner. Although I didn't get it from Domino's, I used Domino's calorie information by weight and then weighed my pizza once I brought it back. The results were startling.

A medium 12" pizza with sausage was about 1600 calories. Which would make a large (14") 2178 calories and an X-large (16") 2844 calories. First off, I think that's why they call it "pi" because it's perfectly suited to measure increases in pizza pies by diameter. Secondly, back in the bad old days, I used to be able to polish off a large pizza for dinner without issue. I guess that's how you get to 375 pounds.

Anyway, I ate a little less than half the pizza (five slices and about 750 calories worth) and a salad, and wrapped the last seven slices up. Had three of them for breakfast this morning and will polish off the rest for lunch later. I won't lie, it did take some willpower to not go back last night for more while it was still hot, but I knew it would still be there tomorrow so I managed to stave off temptation.

Won't be doing this very often, but it's nice to know I can if I want to.

My son (17 years old 6'2" 175, plays every sport there is) and his buddy went to the all-you can eat pizza place a few months ago. He and his friend ate 56 slices of pizza!...I am not lyin....I feel guilty if I eat 4. Oh yeah...2 hours later he was hungry again.

When I was at college in my early 20s, I would eat at Pancho's All You Can Eat Mexican restaurant in Mesa. Cafeteria style Americanized Mexican food that was loaded with fat, salt, carbs and delicious goodness that they would continue to haul to your table tray after tray until you begged "No mas!" THEN, they would bring sopapillas (fried donut-like things) and honey to finish the meal.

I would GUESS that on one of those nights, I would knock back 5000 calories and 5 days salt and fat allowance.

Frankly, I'm glad pizza is off my menu. I have little willpower with a good pizza.

I was a-thinkin....you have lost 90lb...we have Jr High football players who don't weigh 90lb. You have lost a whole Jr High football player!

Well done Mr Vee on the 90lb loss & leaving pizza until the next day. Both are HUGE accomplishments!! There's no stopping you now! It's hard to break patterns of a lifetime, but when you can kick the bad ones consistently, which you seem to be doing, you know that you are well on the way to achieving your goals. Maybe you'll get back to golf in the Spring? Cheers, Cate

284 on this Thursday. Possibly alcohol aided, though, since I'm not really hungover (didn't drink too much), probably not very much.

It's Valentine's Day, the day every year when the couples of the world play a cruel practical joke on the single people. Let's take a look back at some highlights from dating history:

MrVee: Can I buy you a drink.
Girl #1: Sure
{Girl #1 gets drink from bartender}
Girl #1: Thanks.
{Girl #1 grabs her drink and leaves}

Ah the good old days. And now very soon they're going to be the good new days again. The predicted weight for the next Valentine's Day, February 14, 2014: 191.8. I can make weight related excuses all I want this year, but next year there really will be none. By then I'll have to go back to personality and lack of good judgment excuses.

284!!! What? You are killing it Mr Vee!! Really great work. Next Valentine you are gonna be the MAN;) Ladies are gonna wanna buy you drinks!!

284.5 on my favorite day of the year: the day when my least favorite day of the year is furthest away.

The plan for only four workouts this week has probably gone by the wayside, as I have three more days left and I'm four for four so far. I'm definitely doing something outside tomorrow because the weather will apparently be spectacular (74 and sun, sun, sun). But I also have the urge to play basketball today.

Heading back to pick up my suit which had be taken in. Bought the suit in early September for a wedding and went back in last week to see what they could do (as I have a business trip at the end of the month). When they called yesterday, the tailor said the pants were taken in nine inches. There's a leather worker not far away that should be able to do some work on my dress belt to avoid me having to buy another.
