I'm sorry that you didn't get the 2nd date with the one you thought went well. Some smart woman will fall for you soon Vee. She's out there somewhere! You made me laugh re the prostrate check :D I agree with you whole-heartedly on the support in our forum. It is very much a reciprocal thing & I, too, really appreciate it. Well looks like a solid 0 for 3 on last week's dates in terms of getting 2nd dates. Only the 2nd of the three did it seem like I had any chance but she gave me the "thanks but no thanks" today when I asked for another date.

Had my yearly physical today but with a new doc. Going to schedule an appointment for some bloodwork, but since all of my stuff was really good when I was 220 pounds for last year's physical, it should be fine again. The good news is my prostate is fine, the bad news is he checked it to find that out.

I thought you said you were 0 for 3 with getting a second date. First date with the doctor seemed to go well enough for you two to want to get together again. The prostate check must not have been THAT bad. :blush5:
 
Even if she didn't want a second date the fact that it wasn't terrible was a step in the right direction. I was going to make a crude prostate related joke, but Chef beat me to it.
 
I actually made the doctor/prostate joke originally and then deleted in editing it because I was worried I might offend someone. How silly of me. :)
 
Today is October 1, and that means it's picture day. Gonna try and do one today that covers more of my body. Here you go:

As I mentioned last month, I'm planning on doing a shirtless pic on November 1 to help motivate me to really work hard on both the training and diet this month. Plus after Halloween, it will be harder to truly frighten everyone so it's a good day for it.
 
Also for the first time in nearly a year, I'm jumping into the monthly weight loss challenge. Looking to hit the 170s by the end of this month! Feel free to join me.
 
182 this morning. A tough morning as I have bloodwork in about an hour and can't eat anything until that's all done.

UPDATE: After a few hours of basketball, decided to check the scale to see if I temporarily went under. 180 exactly. So close. We'll see what happens on the scale tomorrow.

It's amazing after all this time and the lower weight, you can still have morning weigh ins that shock you. Today is one of those days.

You were right, Jen. 179.5 this morning. Obviously that's a new low and that's 195.5 pounds lost, 4.5 away from 200 pounds lost.

Basically the target for the rest of this month is just try and keep things in this neighborhood until maybe the last week or so. I wanted to get to 179 by the end of the month, but I want it to be a solid 179 instead of just one-off weirdness like I'm sure today is. But "one-off weirdness" at 179.5 feels great and obviously is better than "one-off weirdness" at 182.

The weekends are my great difficulty, but maybe hitting this goal will help me focus a bit and keep away from too many calories.

Personal training today. I've got about a month and a half left of personal training and then I'll be on my own.
 
Awesome! I was just creeping on your weightloss in my log. 179.5 is an astounding drop! I hope it sticks like crazy glue and the previous weight was one-off weirdness.
 
Well after yesterday's big drop it only makes sense that it would bounce back in the other direction so:

178.5. Did not see that coming. It seems like an innocuous number next to 179.5, but:

BMI
Weight Status
Below 18.5 Underweight
18.5—24.9 Normal
25.0—29.9 Overweight
30.0 and Above Obese

179.5 at 5'11" is a BMI of 25.03 which is "Overweight." 178.5 is a BMI of 24.895 which puts me at "Normal."

So I'm officially normal, something I would never ever claim to be.

180 this morning which I'll take. Three days in a row well below anything from before seems like legit weight loss to me.

Yesterday my trainer decided it was time to kill me. Cardio circuit from hell. FROM HELL!!!

Today is my day off from training. Lots of housework. But tonight there shall be ribs and they shall be good.
 
Hey Vee, Yep, it's legit! Now, I should have you inspire me to get those scales moving downwards again.........
 
The killer workout has you retaining fluids for sure. You burned a lot of calories so the weight should reach a new low once you work the kinks out.
